He’s world famous. The most eligible bachelor in Hollywood.Owns the stage and thousands of hearts around the world. The bassist of Unquiet Mind.Rock royalty. But he’s none of that to me.To me, he’s just Wyatt. The teenager I met in my best friend’s garage.I promised him he’d never get into my bed or into my heart. It turns out I lied.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review! This book broke me then put me back together again. It was amazing- seriously a 10 star read. Emma and Wyatt fought long and hard, went through some serious ups and downs and ended up happy. I love their sarcasm and snark. Emma is hilarious at times. This book was awesome and I love that we get to see a lot of Sam, Lexie, Kill, Mia and Noah. I’m sad that the series is coming to an end after the next book. Definitely recommend!!
Does Ann Malcom know how to write anything that doesn’t destroy me in the best possible way?!?! This woman… she just slays me! Every single time I open a book with her name on the cover, I know… I just KNOW… it’s going to rock me! Mistake’s Melody hit a high note! The Unquiet Mind series is one of my top favorite series. If I could get this entire series made an audiobooks… my year would be made! I seriously binged these books before Mistake’s Melody. I’m so glad I did… I love the feel of this group of friends.
So Wyatt and Emma were the couple I’ve been lusting after. I just knew that they were going to be a trip… and they did not let me down! Miss Malcom shows us how talented of a writer she is with this book… it’s so honest and in your face. But Anne Malcom brings humor and heartbreak to this story as well. I just knew it would though… with a character like Wyatt and Emma, it was going to happen. These two show you that love isn’t easy… love is work… love can be brutal.
Anne Malcom writes like a dream. You can’t help but feel like this is a real and true story and Anne’s just chasing them and jotting down all their stupidity and wonderfulness. I think that’s one of the reasons that she’s such a great author. You FEEL everything in her words and it feels like truth. I think Anne’s trademark fun and humor is perfectly shown in this story… it’s this perfect balance or love and snark… and HEAT! I can’t forget the love and heat that intertwines its way through her work. I loved this story and would throw all my stars at Mistake’s Melody if I could… it deserves all the stars!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
5 BEAUTIFUL HEARTBREAKING STARS!! Wyatt and Emma’s story ripped my heart out, but so worth the read. It was painful and beautifully written by this phenomenal author. Her words captivate me, they suck me into the story with the characters and I feel all their emotions. I love this series and highly recommend it to all readers.
Wyatt and Emma’s story was absolutely amazing!
The constant building and releasing, the insane wild emotional roller coaster ride that happened all throughout this story has made me emotionally tired.
This book was raw but so beautiful!
Heck this whole series is truth be told.
I am so looking forward to Noah’s story because I have to know what happens to him since he’s pretty much been hiding in the shadows during everyone else’s stories.
He’s the unknown that I want to know.
So it’s gonna be a big HECK YEAH I most definitely do recommend this book because I absolutely loved it!
Anne Malcom has a certain style to her writing. A flair. Her voice is unique. It has beautiful flow and is saturated with personality. It is so uniquely and soulfully Anne. This book was no exception. If anything, she took her writing to the next level with this book.
Mistake’s Melody will frustrate you. It will make you want to rattle both Emma and Wyatt, but it will all be worth it because you will love every single page of it. Their story will resonate with you. The words will speak to your heart and your soul. There is a certain poetic aspect to Malcom’s writing that just hits you in the gut. It’s not flashy, it’s not trying to be fancy, it just is. It has it’s place and it breathes with the story.
Malcom tackles some hard subject matter, and has been in her latest books, and she always does it with such respect and grace. She beings awareness while keeping the issues honest and un-hollywood. She does them justice flawlessly.
The Unquiet Mind series will always be one of my all-time favourite series. I feel at home with these characters, and I always take my time reading these books, because I want to experience every fucking syllable, just like when you listen to a song, and I mean TRULY listen to a song, and feel every note’s imprint on your soul. THAT is what Malcom does and THAT is why I love her writing.
Heart-wrenchingly beautiful, this book owned me from the very first word. It deserves so much more than 5 stars.
Wyatt and Emma have known each other since they were teens. Before Unquiet Mind was a household name. Before…
That was before.
Before the fame.
Before they fell.
Before the hurt and pain of a love that would forever be tainted by their pasts.
This book wrecked me. These characters came alive on the page. And I was all too ready and willing to consume every word they spoke.
Emma grew up in a house that had no love.
Wyatt was constantly belittled and never knew his true worth. Together they found they were enough.
All of my emotions were left in pieces on the floor while reading this book. The push and pull, the angst…gah! I wanted to shake sense into both Wyatt and Emma. To get their shit together; to be happy. Their love was like a rose, beautiful to look at but you will bleed from the pain of thorns.
“I loved you when I knew it was a bad idea. And I knew that it would end in pain. But I did it anyway. I don’t blame you for breaking my heart, Wyatt. I blame myself for letting you.”
All of my emotions were left in pieces on the floor while reading this book. The push and pull, the angst…gah! I wanted to shake sense into both Wyatt and Emma. To get their shit together; to be happy.
Their love was like a rose, beauty with the pain of thorns.
Wyatt and Emma’s story begins during their childhood and spans over a decade. They have always been a constant in one another’s lives but never crossed the “friendship” boundary line. There has always been a connection between them ….but choosing their friendship was more important than anything “more”…because relationships were just not on either of their radar…
W & E are jaded ….. Carrying around demons from their childhoods that neither one of them can seem to let go of; wearing their scars like armor. These experiences defined them as adults and limited their willingness to open their hearts and put their walls down. So when Emma and Wyatt finally decide to give into their feelings..the events that occur, the fallout and the consequences of that one night take you on one hell of an emotional roller coaster ride.
This book was difficult at times to read (because your rooting for them from page one) and these two are stubborn!…Putting you through a full range of emotions that’ll gut punch you right in all the feels. Mistakes Melody was raw, it was real & I definitely recommend it any and everyone
Finally we have book four in my favourite book series ever. This author doesn’t write easy love stories but those more realistic ones that really pull at your heart strings and that affect your soul. Emma and Wyatt’s story is no different. Their story is long and difficult. Both of then haven’t had easy lives and that has jaded and affected them making this a difficult story to read at times as they struggle to get to a place together that they can stay together. This book will make you cry, it will make your heart hurt and will make you laugh. It is a rollercoaster of emotions that are well worth the ride. I love these characters so much. We get to see some characters from the rest of the series and even some from the Sons of Templar series too as well as the focus being on Emma and Wyatt. This isn’t an easy story but it is a beautiful one. I really recommend this series and I really recommend this book. Beautiful in its complexity and representation of the difficulties of love but how it is still worth it even when it is difficult. 100% recommend.
Of all the books in the series this is the most character driven its a change of pace from the MC involvement and I loved it.
Wyatt has always intrigued me he was always so closed off. I just knew when we got to see the real him he could be a complete surprise. The author doesn’t write weak women and Emma is another strong opinionated woman who doesn’t make things easy. Like me your probably used to the man being the a****le in the story but get ready because Emma is going to shock you.
It’s probably strange but I loved the snarkiness of their relationship all their arguments are like foreplay. Both Wyatt and Emma have had difficult pasts that have shaped who they are and how they act. Loved that she doesn’t give in too easy and that she makes Wyatt work to prove himself. They have a bumpy road to navigate with both making frequent mistakes. Love isn’t easy and the road these two travel is no exception.
The author is one who tackles many genres with ease, I’m looking forward not only to the next in this series but also what else is to come.

I just wanted to say that the cover to “Melody’s Mistake” is another prettiest cover, right next to “The Kiss Thief” 2019 year.
Okay, I not yadda yadda.
Emma’s best friend Lexi always tried to keep out of the way. The girl had a tough childhood, her parents do not necessarily want to have a baby and smack it at every opportunity. Best friends was just Emma and Mia Lexi. They przygarnęły her to him and helped spread its wings.
Emma had contact with Killian, who was the boyfriend Lexi and relive their parting as much as Lexi herself. The girl knew the other guys from Unquiet Mind, but tried to not fall in love in them, because he knew it was not going to end well. For it is they are rock stars. But Wyatt Summers, whom I first met when she was seventeen years came to her heart for a long time. And although the girl stubbornly refused to fall in love, so Wyatt worked on it all at once harder and harder.
And one day, after a good dose of tequila we both forgot and ended up in the bed.
Emma remembered about that night and regretted it. The more that a month later she had to remind her about Wyatt, because one-time sex has brought results, which both wanted to avoid.
For the first dozen pages to the end I could not be found in this position. Mainly due to the fact that it was still described Lexi and Emma was on the sidelines, although she is the main character. But after one situation I understood the author’s intention, and after that everything was in its place, and Emma actually led the way in the whole book, to the very end.
Anne Malcolm Emma and knowledge built on the adventures of Wyatt (not necessarily happy) with Lexi. At the beginning we jump every week, month, year, or several years, and there have been cases cited by the Emma Wyatt could meet and get to know.
Only after this passionate night, the whole story has focused around the two protagonists and pulls.
Wyatt is the bass player in the band. I must admit that very well author wove his career, hearings and passion for bass in the whole book. Emma finds herself in art, although her passion here relegated to the sidelines, because the effects of the night with Wyatt were to be felt over the next several years.
The characters are really well to create what more we have to return to old, familiar to us from earlier books and characters are all nicely connected with each other. Lexi does not feel the excess, which had not Emma, would form the main entry turned.
Very, very I like it, like Anne Malcolm presented the relationship between Wyatt and Emma. Although they slept together and are to be connected forever by this one night and although Wyatt from the beginning trying to convince Emma to himself and recommends to her, like a peacock she further has it deep somewhere and tells him to get lost. To the very end! I thought, and it will eventually agree to a relationship, but no! This zaparte still went in and said, “I do not love you,” “Wyatt is not us”, “we are not together.” It came out really great and I liked it. Stubbornness Emma knows no bounds!
“Melody’s Mistake” is the fourth volume in the series “Unquiet Mind,” but while reading this do not completely feel. You can read this item as a single piece and you will not feel unsatisfied. Great, addictive reading, which is written so nice language that makes you want to read it. I would definitely recommend!
OMFG this series has been everything. Broken Shelves is still my favorite but Mistake’s Melody is now #2.
Wyatt and Emma both had difficult childhoods that make them guarded when it comes to love. This is until the unexpected happens and makes them both re-think their futures.
I love Anne’s books because they seem so real with the situations that some may have gone through in their life. I feel for the characters and also sometimes wish I can jump in the book to scream at one of the characters or give them a hug.
I say this is my 2nd favorite in this series but it is very close to being a tie with Broken Shelves. I mean the cover is stunning also. I highly recommend this author and book for anyone on the edge needing to decide to discover a new author to read.
Once again, I have fallen in love with this series. This is the series that introduced me to Anne and I haven’t looked back. The characters are full of life and depth, you can’t help but fall in love with them. Emma and Wyatt have been dancing around one another since they were teens. It has never been easy for either of them. Life has not been kind to them in their younger years. They both were raised in situations that scarred them, emotionally, and it stayed with them into their adult lives. Each using whatever they could to just numb or hide the pain. Through it all they have loved each other, they are probably the only two people that could ever be the one for the other.
There is a back and forth, both fighting their pull to one another but also know deep inside that they’ll never find anyone that will ever accept them. A monkey wrench is thrown n to the mix that neither expected. It definitely makes things more difficult. You are laughing one moment, yelling the next, and in between you get a few aww moments. It’s an awesome story, and I loved it, but I have to admit at least twice in this story I hated Wyatt. I can honestly say I have never hated one of her characters, I did Wyatt in a couple of moments, he did redeem himself of course, in the best way possible, but I still found myself with my jaw almost unhinged, wanting to reach through my Kindle to slap him upside the head. The other thing that made me sad was the realization that this series will end with Noah’s story(which I can’t wait for). I know it can’t last forever, but a part of me wishes it could. You become so immersed in their lives you feel as if you are living it right there with them. It’s like that with all her stories. One of the many reasons I love her and her work. If you haven’t read anything by her? you really need to. You will not be disappointed.
Can you get past a horrible childhood to let someone into our heart. Emma and Wyatt both struggled with their abusive upbringing and were weary of love. Wyatt was one of the constants in Emma’s life ;Always her supporter and Emma kept him on his toes
Loved Emma’s fire, she says what she feels and has no regrets about it. She never got attached to men, to her sex was just to get off and nothing more. Emma put on a strong front but at the end of the day all she wanted was to be special to someone and I think Wyatt wanted to be that person.
When they finally stopped letting their pasts define them and it was a thing of beauty.
This book was everything you could want in love story. It will tug at your heartstrings and make you Wyatt and Emma’s biggest cheerleader.
