For Kiara Roberts, cancer was a b*tch. It took her teenage years, her shot at the Olympic team, and her leg. She was not letting it take her new job as the high school track coach and health educator. Sketchy test results put her patience on edge and made it a struggle to keep pushing forward. She needed a night of dancing, drinking, and fun with her friends to mark a new beginning, no matter … what the future held.
Coming home was supposed to be a relief for Army Specialist David Easton. He served his country and after months of rehab, the PTSD remained unbearable. Drinking wasn’t the answer, nor was co-owning the family bar with his brother. Getting the job at his old high school was manageable and put his family at ease giving the illusion that life was back to normal. It was anything but, and the moment he spotted Kiara across a crowded dance floor during the lowest point in his life everything changed.
Kiara wasn’t attracted to jarheads. She didn’t have room in her life for players no matter how sexy and sweet they seemed. So why was David Easton showing up everywhere? There was no escaping him, and her only option left might be surrender.

I liked this book. The story was well written and flowed beautifully. The characters were well defined within the story and they had such great chemistry. I loved the ending. If you like the works of this wonderful author, then this book is a must-read.
Kiara and David have not had the easiest of lives and their first meeting was supposed to be their only. But David is now working at the same school as Kiara is a shock. I liked that David was willing to work to make Kiara trust him and I am so glad she was able to because I liked these two together.

Two survivors who still wear the scars, together they heal each other and bring some peace and love
Mission For Love is the sixth book in the Love By Design series and it is another wonderful book by M.C. Cerny. This is the story of Kiara Roberts and retired Army Specialist David Easton. Both of them have been dealt bad blows in life and they are still dealing with what life is throwing at them. For her it is the possible reappearance of cancer and for him it is bad PTSD from his time in the Army. So when their paths cross one night at a bar, she was dragged out by her sisters and he is there drinking. Even though they leave together and go back to his place, as she just wants to feel like a regular young woman, things do not quite go as planned and she skips out before he wakes up. No problem as they will never see each other again, right? Well not so quickly because when she gets to work at the local high school where she is a track coach she is introduced to the new IT guy…..David. Yep so can anyone say “awkward” a few hundred times. David however is more than interested in Kiara and not as a one night fling. Nope he is wanting to get to know her and start a relationship. Kiara has a major trust issue with all men because of what her ex did when she was undergoing treatment. So she is not too quick to jump on the David train and ride it out of the station right away. It seems that the former Army Specialist is going to have to dig in an figure out a plan to win the lovely Kiara’s hand, and the rest of her. Maybe the two of them can help each other heal and regain their lives, only better as they will be together.
I really loved this story as it just have so much heart and emotion. The story-line and characters are wonderfully woven together with several hard topics that are dealt with in a light way, but not shying away from them either. You just keep cheering for both David and Kiara individually and for them to become a couple that has a HEA.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Kiara has lost her leg to cancer and lost her boyfriend during that hard time. Double dose to hit her esteem. Years later Kiara works as a teacher and coach. She’s busy and stresses and needs a night out with the girls. She’s at the bar dancing having fun.
David has recently been discharged and trying to get his life back on track goes to the bar his brother owns where he spots Kiara. He’s a one night stand kind of guy not looking to settle down. They take the party home and she disappears by morning because she doesn’t want him to see her leg.
Guess who’s the IT guy that will work at the same place Kiara is at!
Let the fun begin! Can these two find what their looking for and work threw their pain to get some happiness?

Kiara and David’s story are one that will move you because both are battling their own emotional scars from their past. I though M.C. did a good job with this story line and the characters both had a lot to get past and I like the fact that David was persistent and fought for what he wanted. They had good chemistry and finally found their HEA.

This was a good read and nice addition to the series.
David is suffering from PTSD from his Army career. Kiara takes our her frustrations from her ex on every guy she meets, as he left her while she was dealing with cancer. Can the two come together and heal together? Or will their lust to love be doomed with all their issues ?
The reference as him being a jarhead is incorrect as the Marines are jarheads not the Army. I love books about military men and women.

Kiara and David both have hurtful pasts but meeting each other gives them new life. Kiara is wary at first but I loved that David didn’t give up. It’s a fast-paced book with emotional moments, sexy times, and just a feel-good story.

Every person who is on an important mission never thinks how hard it can be. Love needs to come naturally. If there are obstacles in way, the book had a mission in making sure no one can get in the way of love.

I loved these two, strong, going to survive no matter what. Reading about their struggles for normalcy, the internal battle and the outward one of people treating them like glass. Course that budding love took tremendous effort. Eye opener read!

Mission For Love by M.C. Cerny is a wonderful, sweet, enjoyable, steamy and a roller coaster ride of emotion. a romance story of David and Kiara..David is a former Army Specialist, coming home was supposed to be a relief He served his country and after months of rehab, the PTSD remained unbearable. This is probably one of my favorite books in the series. David and Kiara are complex characters carrying some pretty heavy baggage with them. He hasn’t come to terms with the loss of his military career and how that came about. She’s still angry at the universe for her cancer diagnosis and distrustful of men thanks to some particularly rotten apples. The push-me/pull-you dynamic between this pair was angsty, dramatic, and just a little bit crazy-making to me. I found that this book suffers from some of the same things I’ve noticed in most of the rest of the series. We don’t get to really see the growth process in our leading couple, as the story moves from ‘growing pains’ to ‘forever’ in the space of a couple paragraphs. There were also many spelling, grammatical, and continuity issues. Since the copy I read was an advanced version of the final book, I’m hoping that those errors were corrected before publication. Getting this chance to see behind the scenes of the Eastons makes me even more interested in reading the stories that are up next in the series.

Completely and utterly taken captive by this story! It was EVERYTHING!!! David and Kiara are two seemingly broken people gravitating to one another their chemistry was amazing. Kiara having beat cancer but losing her leg and still dealing with the hurt of her ex. who wasn’t strong enough to deal with her having cancer thus creating an uphill challenge for David. However, being a military man he knows when to give up and when to pursuit and he wants Kiara. The feeling that we see with these two is that raw and the individual pain show their strong. It helps you understand why the past has a strong grip on these two her issues with the aftermath of cancer and him with his PTSD both are crippling and yet when together they can get through it. In a way, they let each other fight their battles while at the same time, fighting it for each other, with each other thus winning and building a united front. I laughed, I screamed, I cheered, and possibly flipped through every emotion possible. It was an absolute wild ride from the beginning to the end.
