Man oh man does Nicole Edwards know how to do hot and steamy!! There is just something about 2 bad@ss men being tender toward each other and strong enough to be who they are. I have LOVED every one of Nicole’s books so far and this one is no different. I can’t wait to find out more about Brantley and Reese!
Mission: All In is the first book in a new series by Nicole Edwards. I love that this series will be about Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis in every book. And since Brantley is a Walker and there are a lot of Walkers in Coyote Ridge, we get to see many of our Walker favorites in this book and hopefully the books to come. This book sets the premise for the series, why the title includes Brantley Walker: Off the Books, and the events that will lead up to that name.
This story is all about Brantley, and what will he do after returning home, and will he settle down. Right from the beginning the book grabs your attention and doesn’t let go with everything going on from the friendships, building relationships, rekindling of old friendships, and then the event that forces him to step up and showing his training. Also, the chemistry between Brantley and Reese is so burning hot that I can’t wait for more from these two as this series progresses. And in true Nicole Edwards fashion we have multiple POVs for this story. I love that aspect of her writing and feel it adds so much more depth to the story to see things from so many different perspectives.
A great start to a new series by Nicole Edwards!I loved this book, the characters and plot had me from start to finish.Brantley Walker an ex seal, comes back to Coyote Ridge after leaving the team because of his injuries.Hes in limbo as of what to do with his life because the seals were his life.He has a very supporting family and of course the Walkers stick together.Reece works for Brantleys cousin Travis and is like a member of the family. When Brantley meets him he has feels something but he’s straight and Brantley definitely isn’t.The story builds with suspense as Travis daughter is kidnapped and Brantley and Reece team up to get her back and figure out the attraction.Very enjoyable book and looking forward to the next in the series to see how Brantley and Reece’s relationship progresses.
Nicole Edwards is one of my favorite authors and this book just shows me again why I feel that way. I loved the story about Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis. We have heard and/or met these two in previous books, and I especially was waiting to see where the story of Reese would go, so I am excited to see how will play out. I also love that we will see many of the other Walker family members within this series because let’s face it, we love them all and love to hear updates and see how they are doing! 🙂 Brantley Walker is a military man who has come home to Coyote Ridge due to being injured. Brantley has feelings for Reese, but Reese has always been straight… has been being the key words. Reese has been entwined with the Walker family, working with them, and he starts to have feelings for Brantley, feelings that he has never had for another man. Brantley and Reese then work together on a case and that puts them all that much closer. The romance between them is building, and of course I can’t wait until the next book in the series and see where the romance takes them! Thanks for another great book Nicole!
I love this story so much from the time I first started reading I was captured by Brantley and Reece story how they met the case of the kidnapping and their love story that’s building slowly but is hot as fire…. I cant wait to read the next book to see what happens next ….also you catch up with the walker family in this book Travis had a big part in this ……
Mission: All In (Brantley Walker: Off the Books Book 1) was an AMAZING read! The author grabs your attention from the first page & takes you on an exciting adventure. Great characters, interesting story, hot guys- what more can you ask for?!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Mission: All In – Brantley Walker: Off the Books by Nicole Edwards is book one in her brand new series. Mission : All In can easily be read as a stand-alone.
The book tells the beginning of Brantley and Reese’s story.
Brantley was 17 years in military, 10 years as a Navy SEAL. But when he had to leave he’s a bit lost, not in a bad way, he just needs a minute to regroup. He’s back in Coyote Ridge with his big and loud family. O how I loved meeting all the Walkers again, Kylie, Gage, Travis above all.
Reese is ex-military too, now he manages one of the Walker businesses.
And while Brantley is drawn to Reese, he’s as straight as an arrow – or so he thinks. Enough said.
Only so much – with Mission : All In I was in for a treat. I connected with the characters fom chapter one. I fell in love with the story pretty quick and don’t get me started with the first meet cute, sigh.
You know that book that you can’t stop raving about, the one you find yourself recommending to your friends? This is that book for me. One of the most beautifully told stories I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading – I recommend the book and can’t wait for the next read.
Brantley Walker is back in Coyote Ridge and trying to find a purpose while feeling lost after his military career ends very abruptly. Nothing he thinks about doing feels right or holds his interest. During a night out with his cousins he meets and finds himself attracted to the gorgeous Reese Tavoularis but as far as anyone knows Reese is straight, but that doesn’t stop Brantley from flirting with him every chance he gets. When a tragedy strikes the Walker family Brantley, along with his friend JJ and Reese step up to help out and this only brings Reese & Brantley closer together. This presents an opportunity to both Reese and Brantley to continue to step up and help the way they did with the Walkers which is just what Brantley was looking for. It also gives them more time to spend together to explore the growing relationship & chemistry between them. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.
Brantley Walker has dedicated his life to fighting for his country. Having given eighteen years to the U.S. Navy, the last ten as a SEAL, the mission was the only thing he knew, the only thing that mattered. He never even considered what life would look like after the mission was over. Until he’s forced to. After spending months recovering from career-ending injuries, Brantley finds himself back in his hometown of Coyote Ridge, Texas. Along the way, Brantley and Reese end p immersed in another mission. Only this one results in a journey that takes them in a direction neither of them expected to go.
You guys, when you pick up this book you are not going to lay it down. And I also have to tell you that if the Walker’s were real I would be moving to Coyote Ridge. I love so many of these characters and you are going to love that you get to spend some times with some of your favorites. In Mission: All In we meet Brantley Walker who was a SEAL until he wasn’t and was injured and had to come back home to live and recover. Now he is unsure what he really wants to do with his life. One thing that has never changed though is that Brantley is gay and he hasn’t seen his friends in years. I loved watching him reunite with his bestie and I loved her so much. However Brantley is who he is a makes no apologies for it. If he doesn’t like you for reasons of his own then you are just out of luck. That is just one of the many things that I loved about him. He is loyal and protective of his friends and his family but he is a hermit in ways too until he has to eat. This is man who refuses to buy a couch too and I thought that was really funny as everyone told him he needed a couch. Now home and trying to figure out what to do a night out with the Walker boys has him meeting Reese. Reese though much to Brantley not liking it is not gay. However things just might not be like they seem. I really liked Reese to and his struggle had me wanting to yell at him to just go for it because I knew it would be well worth it if he ever just took the jump. Throw in Travis and the boys and Travis’s missing daughter and you have a mission that these to go on to find her and bring her back. I don’t think there was anything I didn’t love about this book. I could not and did not put it down. I read it in one sitting and was sad when my time back in Coyote Ridge was over. Like I said I’d pack a bag of go make me some Walker family friends. You don’t want to miss this one. Nicole Edwards is always amazing at telling her stories and I love how you can tell that she loves her characters just as much as you do!!
What a fantastic start to the new Off the Books Series, If Mission : All In (Brantley Walker) is anything to go by Ms Edwards will have another hit series on her hands. This book captivated from the first line to the last word, it’s exciting, it’s great writing and it’s has wonderful characters old and new.
Brantley Walker is back in Coyote Ridge trying to work out what to do with his life, an injury forced his early retirement from the Navy Seals team and he is at a crossroads with his career and his personal life. Brantley finds himself attracted to the smouldering Reese Tavoularis but as far as anyone knows Reese is straight…..
This book has so many twists and turns and I’m sure like me you will be on the edge of your seat as you get reacquainted with the Walker family, Brantley may be a cousin we have not met before but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t carry all those Walker traits like stepping up when Travis’s daughter goes missing and with his friend JJ and Reese as they embark on mission to track her down. This book is only the beginning of Brantley and Reeses’s story and I can’t wait to see where we are taken in the next instalment of Off the Books. Highly recommend this gem of a read.
If Nicole Edwards writes it, I will read it! This book is the perfect combination of great writing, memorable characters and a storyline that you don’t want to miss!
Mission: All In with Brantley Walker brings us back into the world of the wonderful Walker family! This family always have each other’s backs so when one of their own is in danger everyone steps up to help.
This story certainly starts out with a bang and sucked me right it. I love reading about military men and Brantley checked off all the boxes for me! He is hot, confident and knows who he is. His life happened to take a turn he wasn’t expecting that brings him back to his hometown and now he is trying to forge a new path. He just doesn’t known what that path may be yet.
If you are familiar with the Walker family than you probably have meet Reese Tavoularis and I know I am excited to get his story. He thought he had himself figured out but after meeting and getting to know Brantley his world has certainly been turned upside down and put him on a path he definitely didn’t see coming.
Brantley and Reese are new friends drawn to each other with an increasing need to take their relationship to a different level. For Reese, he is experiencing feelings for the first time he just can’t explain or deny. Brantley, on the other hand, is patiently waiting for Reese to come to terms with his feelings. They have easy banter, great chemistry and seem to balance each other out but will Reese wait to fall into something new with Brantley or jump full in?
But just wait, this book is just the beginning of their story and this new series! I know I am so excited to see where their story and this series takes us!
5 Star Review Mission: All In (Brantley Walker: Off The Books #1) by Nicole Edwards
Book one in an exciting new series from Nicole Edwards and I simply could not put it down. I am so loving the direction she is going with this book. From chapter one, I was hooked and couldn’t put it down, I simply had to know what was going to happen.
Brantley Walker is at a crossroads with his life after a career ending injury has forced him to retire from being a Navy Seal and return to Coyote Ridge. Brantley is attracted to Reese Tavoularis but he knows that the man is straight, or is he?
When Brantley’s cousin Travis’s daughter disappears, Brantley and Reese volunteer to help locate her. With the help of Brantley’s best friend JJ, they will do what it takes to find Katie and bring her back to her family.
This book was smoking hot, add in the suspense which is extremely well written and I was on the edge of my seat for the majority of the book. You cannot help but become invested as Ms. Edwards wove so many twists and turns into the story.
There is also a great deal of emotion within Brantley’s story as he and Reese embark on a journey of self discovery (mainly for Reese), some steamy MM scenes and of course the appearance of numerous Walkers.
All in all a captivating read and I cannot wait for the next book.
Nicole Edwards has another hit on her hands as All In is a winner!
Brantley Walker has been medically discharged from The Navy, and after months of rehab has come home to Coyote Ridge without a clue on what to do with his life. One thing he does have is a HUGE caring family and The Walker clan has welcomed him home with open arms.
And while hanging out with his family he meets Reese, who runs Walker Demolition. Brantley is openly gay, as Reese has never even thought about being with another man. Since they are both ex military, they become good friends. Having meals together, going to the shooting range and getting to know each other.
When one of Brantley’s nieces goes missing, it is an all hands on deck mission to find her and get her back. With Brantley and Reese’s military skills and some help from a few very computer knowledgeable friends, they are off on the mission of their lives to bring home the little girl. The closer they get to one another, the more Reese becomes more open to the idea of actually falling for Brantley.
This is book one of Brantley and Reese’s story, and can be read as a stand alone. Funny, HOT and a true page turner as I could not put it down!!!
Off The Books is a new series by Nicole Edwards. Mission All In is the first book in this series.
This is Brantley Walker and Reese Tavoularis’s story. Brantley who’s been gay his whole life and Reese who’s straight, or so he believes. Their very first time they meet and their eyes connect is a profound moment in their life.
The first part of the story is the building of their friendship, with this leading to their eventual romance. This romance builds while they are working to find Travis’s missing daughter.
Brantley’s long time friend J.J., who’s a computer whiz helps out and at the end of the book becomes an essential player in the upcoming books. Book 2, even though is a continuation of Brantley and Reese, is a new case the team will be working on.
This series is going to be so good. I love Brantley and Reese and all of the other characters. I don’t think Nicole has wrote a book that I read that I haven’t loved. She’s one of my favorite authors.
I’m so excited to read more, can’t wait for the next one.
Brantley Walker is at a loss on what to do with his life since being medically discharged from the US Navy. After being in the demanding navy seals, home life is a much slower pace, so when his cousin’s daughter goes missing Brantley and new friend Reese set out to found her. Brantley and Reese have this instant chemistry that makes for some intense and explosive emotions! This new trilogy from the talented Nicole Edwards is the perfect amount of suspense along with a highly intoxicating and delicious romance! Can’t wait for book 2!
5 stars
Brantley was a Navy SEAL for eighteen years but an injury forces him to retire. He aimlessly roams trying to figure out what to do with the rest of his life. Reese is former military and runs Walker Demolition. When Brantley’s cousin Travis little girl goes missing, Brantley and Reese offer their services. As they search and run down leads, the men become closer.
Honestly I can not figure out what to write because I really don’t want to give anything away. I read this in one day and could not put it down. Be prepared for steamy sex scenes , heart pounding suspense, and plenty of Walker men. M\M so you might want a cold shower after this. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
