Mission: Accept is the second story in the Rise Again Warrior series. Dana Donahue might be Shane Logan’s cousin, but she’s nothing like him—she’s quite the opposite of him. Her thoughts focus on what money and people can do for her. She never approved of Shane joining the military and knows little about the world he has lived in for most of his life. All that will change when she has to ask him … to ask him for a job after her father cuts her off.
Derek Stall lives on the streets by choice—not circumstance. Memories of what he did under order sometimes haunt him, other times give him the strength to move through one more day until he can finish the mission he started.
A chance meeting between Dana and Derek will lead to an unlikely friendship that might just save his life, but the drastic differences between them could be the dividing wedge that keeps them apart.
When Derek feels he has to leave Rise Again Warrior to complete his mission, he begins to realize that he could be leaving behind more than just a few friends. Could he be leaving behind the possibility of a healthy future before he finally accepts his past?
The third book in the Rise Again Warrior Series, Mission: Repair, will be released in November 2020 for Veteran’s Day. It is now available on Pre-order

Mission: Accept by Stacy Eaton is the second book in the Rise Again Warrior Series and definitely worth reading if you love stories that revolve around military, family and friends.
Dana has no idea what it takes to make it in the real world because her parents have always given her everything she wants and needs, but her father has had enough with her selfish ways. He is cutting her off and expects her to get a job so he suggests she ask her cousin Shane who started and runs RAW, a place where former military personnel can go to heal emotionally, mentally and physically in order to make their way in the civilian world.
Derek is a homeless veteran by choice and wonders why Dana even bothers to make an effort to be nice to him until one night he saves her from being attacked and she does everything that she can to make sure that he survives. They form a bond, but since they are so different the friendship is really unstable and might not last not only because of their many difference, but also because of his past.
I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more in the future.
I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
Oh these books are just amazing! I recently read book one and it left me speechless and just sat for a while once I finished it and this second book is every bit as good! The emotions in these stories is incredible and more then once i have found myself in tears as I am stunned by some of the problems service men and women have to face when returning home. These stories are amazing journeys, complete eye openers and everyone should read them, really I cannot recommend them enough!
The saying “Don’t judge a book by its cover” definitely fits Dana and Derek – the main characters of this book! She’s a spoiled rich girl who never worked a day in her life and he’s a homeless Veteran. When their worlds collide together, both of their lives change in ways that they never could imagine! This is definitely a must-read and while it can be read as a stand-alone, I recommend reading book 1 first! Author Stacy Eaton is an amazing writer…from her storylines, her attention to factual details, and the way she gets all of your emotions going is just incredible!
Wow!!! Just wow!! This story has just left me in a book funk. It is so darn good!! I don’t want to start reading anything else. I feel as though through reading both of the Rise Again Warrior books I’m having my eyes opened up, like Dana’s, to many of the problems facing the men and women of the military when they come back home after tours of duty. These stories have had emotional impacts on my life each time I read one. And man have I shed some tears while reading them.
Derek and the life he lead in the military was so emotionally hard on him. And facing those demons back state side proves so difficult for him. In comes Dana that doesn’t have a clue about anything. She’s never felt hardship or tragedy with daddy paying for everything. She takes everything for granted. Well daddy decides to turn Dana’s world upside down while Derek accidentally overhears everything. Can Dana’s eyes be opened or will she go through life a spoiled brat expecting everything to be handed to her? With daddy cutting her expenses way down, her parents suggest Dana ask for a job from her cousin Shane at Rise Again Warrior. No one has any idea of the eye opening journey this sets Dana on and how an accidental meeting on the streets with a homeless Derek will impact their lives.
This was an incredible book of hope, sadness, despair, and real life people. When I read the first Rise Again Warrior Mission:Believe, I was blown away by the book. The author has put so much reality in the characters it pulls you into it. In this book, people from the first book show up and it builds up on all that is happening with veterans from different ranks of the military. This could be any of us with a loved one in the service, such as me. But by reading it, it gives me hope that this is really happening in our country. Most of us know there are a lot of our veterans not getting the help they need. The story was about a rich young lady whose father thought she could do something and took away her money and condo. She meets a homeless man and strangely they become friends, a different type of friends. Read the book and see the change to daddy’s little girl, Dana and a verteran deals with his demons. God Bless America and all the Warriors who keep us safe. I look forward or, should I say I hope, there are more books in this series.
This by far is the best book that Stacy Eaton has ever written! So So So emotional, you will need tissues! Ms. Eaton opens our eyes, once again, to the trials that our veterans face when they return from war. The things they see, the things they suffer, the way that they are treated. This is a must read! The writing is incredible.
4.5 Stars
Another great book in this series! Derek has been through so much and is struggling to move forward. Dana has always had a life of privilege but may be just what Derek needs if she can open her eyes and see what is going on.
The first thing I will say about this book, is if Dana bugs you, stick with it. She’ll change and grow on you. I say that because the first few chapters I wanted to punch her in the nose and also because it shows what a great writer that Stacy is because in the end, I really grew to like Dana.
While this is book 2, you could read it as a stand alone.
This story is a bit more emotional than the first book in the series, at least for me, and there were a few places that it made me tear up. It’s a good emotional journey though, not one of those exhausting ones. You get to see real growth in both characters, you get a glimpse of their past and the hope of their future. The book deals with very real issues but does it in a beautiful way. I truly enjoyed it and I recommend it to all.

I hope everyone has read the first book in this series. This series is so good and written so well that I did not want to put the book down. This is NOT a frivolous book that is taken lightly. I admire Ms. Eaton for showcasing military men and women and some of the problems they face when coming home. The book is so interesting. I am learning so much about these brave individuals as well as enjoying a love story. I was so glad to see Dana’s father take most of her money away from her and force her to get a jobs they are rich. It is so sad to think how many people are so oblivious to the struggles of many people in the world, and only think about themselves and what they need. Dana’s cousin Shane started Rise Again Warrior to help returning military slowly acclimate back into society. Shane gives Dana a job, not believing she will carry through. Dana meets a homeless man one day and gives him her breakfast. My heart went out to Derek for what happened to him as a sharp shooter. I can’t imagine how hard it is to forgive yourself for the things he did. I loved hearing about the organization and meeting some of the characters that worked and lived at the facility. I can’t tell you how much my heart was touched with this story. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
This is not my normal read but I love Stacy Eaton’s writing. I received and ARC of this book for a voluntary review. This book blew me away. Characters that jumped off the page at me, life changing events for both Dana & Derek. They form an unusual friendship and bond that nothing can break. Or can it?
Dana was a spoiled brat. In her 30s she had no job and she living off her Dad’s fortune. Until he finally put a stop to it, he cut her off. Forced to get a job, she went to her cousin at RAW. Being the spoiled snab she was she thought she would get a cushy position. That was not the case at all.
Derek was a damaged homeless vet. The things he had done have tortured him mentally.
Derek and Dana met while spoiled Dana was arguing on the phine with her dad. The unlikely two became friends.
What an emotional journey you go on with these characters. Tissues are a must have. I thought book 1 was amazing. This 2nd is fantastic. You don’t have to read book 1. However, I highly recommend you do.
Powerful! Tear-jerking, heart stopping, shattering!
Dana and Derek story ripped me in half. I loved the first in the Rise Again Warrior Series with Lauren and Shane’s story but with this book, wow Stacey Eaton outdid herself ! First book in a long time that sinks in so deep in my soul. Mission: Accept brings out a side of the aftermath of the war on our soldiers. We see all the struggles our Veterans go thru once they are back in the civil world and how much they are forgotten and not respected for all they do to make sure we are safe and free.
Dana’s life takes a curve ball and I enjoyed seeing her taking charge of her life, finding a meaningful job and how she opens up to the unknown.
Derek, well I wanted to help carry his sorrow. How he has the weight of the world on his shoulder and the pain of the guilt he bears is so well written, I could almost imagine what it would be like.
Looking forward for the next one.
:
A beautifully written story about a sniper loaded with guilt and a socialite whose fortune gets taken away. Derek proves to be her hero, but he is not ready for any commitment. He has something important to do before he can give his hope and heart to Rise Again Warriors and Dana. Your heart will go out to Derek and the lessons Dana learns are fruitful. One last mission will bring Derek clarification and be able to move on.I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
5+ Stars
Derek is living on the streets. Homeless and dealing with guilt from his time in the Military. He is on a mission and won’t stop until it is complete. He is kind and helps others when he can. As his story unfolds, your heart will ache! (I am not going to give any spoilers because you need to experience this story as it unfolds without knowing ahead of time).
When we meet Dana, she is an entitled, spoiled, materialistic woman. When daddy cuts off her money and living expenses, she is forced to find a job. Will she be able to find her purpose in life working with her cousin, Shane?
Shane is Dana’s cousin and we met him in the first book of the series, Mission: Believe. He began Rise Again Warriors in an effort to help Veterans get back on their feet.
This story is so heart wrenching, emotional, eye opening and filled with tender romantic moments and family drama too. It also has some surprisingly tense moments that will have you holding your breath. It will leave you sitting quietly for a moment after you’ve finished , just so you can savor the beautiful story you’ve just read.
It shows us how just one simple act of kindness can change the life of not only the person you help, but your own as well.
I never pass up the chance to read a book by Stacy Eaton. Her writing style pulls you into the story and you feel like you know the characters personally and are right there with them feeling every emotion they are feeling and cheering for them all the way.
I was fortunate to be able to read an ARC of this book.
