Ms. Tullis’s book Missing Pieces is an intriguing story that is well crafted and most certainly worth reading.
I gifted was gifted this book by the author and I decided to volunteer to read and review it.
I so loved Missing Pieces (A Chandler County Novel) ! In fact I love the Chandler County Novels!
*About Chandler County: Stephany Tullis and fellow author, PJ Fiala, have created a world situated between Lexington and Louisville, Kentucky, named Chandler County. They’ve invited fellow authors whom they admire to join them in Chandler County by writing their own stories. They’ll have two Chandler County releases each year. The series was launched with their first cycle on April 11, 2017.
This book is the first book I read from the series by Stephany Tullis, I loved it so much, I read the follow up, Missing Home. Now, I can’t wait for the release of Missing The Moment!
All of Stephany’s books are tender and fun, but Missing Pieces is based on Love and all the things that come with it!
I would highly recommend this book!
I haven’t read anything by this author before but I am intrigued about the world of Chandler County now. I loved the small town setting and the collection of characters that make up that world are fascinating. I liked the range of characters that appeared and their interactions. I also loved how diverse the characters are from the Mayor’s wife (who screams rich debutant) to Mrs Johnson (the wicked older lady, every woman wants to grow up to be). I love the feeling of community in the from the cafe scenes to the watch party for the Kentucky Derby. The speed of gossip in a small town situation also felt very believable. The writer has a lovely style, easy to read, warm and humorous and I will be looking out for more books by her.
A handsome, blue-eyed stranger in town and the upcoming Chandler Cunnty Derby days would normally make Chronicles editor, Rachael busy but there is also a mystery in town. Love the snall town characters, the delicious descriptions of food at Cassie’s Cafe and the traditions of county derby days as they relate to the Kentrucky Derby. Check out this Kentucky tale.
A fast paced novella with romamce, mystery and suspense included in its interesting plot. Love reading books with strong female characters and the main character, Rachel, a reporter, certainly fits that bill in her pursue to solve what is really going on in her town. Great character interaction. A fun and enjoyable read.
A sweet country romance with a dash of mystery and suspense. It was a little hard to connect with the characters and keep track of everyone.
this was a really great book! two people from different worlds meet. things heat up but something happens to change things. read to find out what .
This is my first read from Stephany Tullis and I was pulled in from the beginning.
This was an exciting read with plenty of Romance, twist and turns and mystery.
This is an easy flow and a page turning read.
I highly recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a fantastic read.
Missing Pieces is a quick, enjoyable novella. Trust is the main theme with interesting quotes leading the chapters. Rachel is a strong female lead who is an investigative reporter- can she trust the new mayor, her coworker or the mysterious stranger named Blue who she is attracted to? The story left me frustrated having so many unresolved issues. However, I love Kentucky and enjoyed the author’s descriptions of the people ,the Derby the food, the rolling hills and the Bourbon! If you are looking for a fun escape this book is for you.
