Revenge isn’t the only thing on her mind.Bevin Young has two things in life: her pathetic career in blogging and her service dog. As the money flow comes to a surprising halt, she desperately searches for the next big viral story. As luck would have it, the Thirty under Thirty most eligible bachelor list just hit the news, and a certain stupid face is right at number one.The perfect plot forms in … number one.
The perfect plot forms in Bevin’s head. She could save her career and serve up some sweet, sweet justice all in one swoop. She’ll just have to dress and act the part, snagging Mr. Eligible Buttface and use him for the story.
Hopefully she can keep her heart locked up this time when she faces Robbie Sterling: CEO, stupid handsome, and the once love of her life.
Reminiscent of How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days meets Never Been Kissed, Missed Kiss is a story every romantic comedy lover shouldn’t simply pass over!

He was her best friend. Well that’s all she was to him when they were growing up although she was probably half in love with him then. . . okay so she was all the way in love with him until. . . Yup he did it, and he regretted it everyday since. But she’s back. Just as awkward and unique and beautiful. I tried to apologize back then but punked out, now’s my chance and I’m not giving up. There is so much good about this read on top of it being a clean read. Between the secrets and untold truths lies two who truly love but first the truths have to be told before it’s too late. When it’s all said and done can the love they had as teens, the quirks and oddities that drew them together, bruised hearts will have to be healed. Fun read. I like this author’s ability to make us laugh and enjoy a friendship that withstood the test of time, a little pain and some healing and forgiveness for a love that’s true and real.
Loved the read. Loved the characters. Unfortunately, for a “published” book, there were more typos than I could count. “Steal” instead of “Steel” for example. Multiple extra word blunders. Don’t know what else to say. Great story but the typos actual diminished the over quality because you expect more from a professionally published book.
I adored Bevin! Her unique style, her supportive family and more importantly faithful companion. She has a career that will finally allow her the revenge she needs to put her best friend in his place. Robbie Sterling lost his best friend once and he won’t lose her a second time. What he can’t figure out is why she keeps him at arm’s length. They are not kids anymore and he knows they both feel something for each other, so why is she constantly pushing him away? He knows the way he ended their friendship wasn’t the best but is she really going to hold it against him?
Missed Kiss is sweet and heart melting. These two tell their entire story and I love how we are treated to life before and after prom. Missed Kiss is movie worthy.
Missed Kiss is a book you do not want to miss! Bevin and Robbie are stellar characters. The author does a great job describing Bevie’s panic attacks and neuroses. Rob is not your typical billionaire. Their story of best friends that Rob ends on the day of his senior prom sets up the revenge scenario. Bevie thinks she can keep her job by writing a scathing article about the hot young billionaire. As they reconnect as adults, can she cling to her revenge fantasy?
Bevin and Robbie’s backstory might be one of the most heartbreaking once-friends, now-enemies stories I’ve ever read. It’s been days since I’ve read it, and I’m still not over it.
I absolutely love friends to lovers but this one took it to a whole other level. I had so many Never Been Kissed and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days vibes that I couldn’t put it down. I loved the banter and the vulnerability. I loved so much about Bevin and Robbie.
The only thing I wanted more of in their story was remorse. I never quite felt like there was enough of it. This series is pretty awesome and I’m so looking forward to book 3!!
3.5 Short review. Bevin and Robbie were both likable characters who you’ll want to end up together. Bevin is still heartbroken over how their friendship ended and how Robbie broke her heart, with her job on the line she suggests writing the a revenge article about Robbie. Unfortunately Robbie sees them bumping into each other after all these years as a sign that he’s given a second chance to be with Bevin and tell her how he really felt/feels about her.
As much as I did like this book, I do have a complaint about the ending it feels like it ended abruptly in the middle Bevin and Robbie story. Maybe I would have felt different if the epilogue had told what happens to Bevin and Robbie after the last page, but the epilogue is use to set up the next book. Still a good book just needed a less abrupt ending.
