Uncovering Secrets
Regency romance and pirates! Abigail Marleigh is attending her final house party. Her Uncle will force her to marry his choice if she doesn’t make a match. She is hopeful, yet resigned. Previous house parties left her with fallen hopes.
Alex Bellingham has spent years on a pirate ship as a spy. His cover is blown and he must hide from the pirates trying to find him. A house party is just the thing. He gets to go back to his roots as a member of the ton and hope that he is not discovered so that he may protect the people he loves the most.
This book is fun to read. A house party always gives such a variety of characters. Some you love and some you could care less about. The great thing about this house party is that there are more books written about the characters in attendance. This is a series by several authors all telling the tale from their own point of view and adding many dimensions to the story/party.

The title threw me off and I was a bit hesitant but I was wrong. The h & H were great. I love the idea of the series where it’s different love stories at the same house party and from different perspectives. The dialogue was great and the whole story felt in accoradance with the time period. The budding romance and development felt natural and unforced. It had some good twists and held my attention till the last page.
Another wonderful story by Ms Strunk. Very well written with interesting characters and lots of action. Many interesting twists kept me reading until my eyes were totally dry and I reached the end. I love a good house party and the relationship between Alex and Abigail was delightful full of angst but clean and sweet. I’m interested to see how some of the other characters fared. I’m totally motivated to read the other books in this series.
A very enjoyable story with suspense, danger and romance. It was gripping to see how the characters would be able to resolve the danger posed. And besides how can you resist a handsome pirate!?
Great characters and storyline.
I enjoyed this pirate regency romance. Abi and her cousin Clara find a wounded man in their carriage, who turns out to be pirate, Captain Stringham wanted by his crew. Abi deposits the pirate at a doctor for care. Later at a house party they meet again but he is now Lord Grayson. Who really is this man? Abi agrees to keep his secret but still thinks he’s a scoundrel even though she is attracted to him. She must find a husband, or she will have to marry her uncle’s choice. What will happen with Stringham/Grayson and Abi?
I liked this variation on the theme of evil guardian uncle using their wards to advance his own interest. We have a pirate as a secret agent for the British government, an encounter with a shot man in the carriage, who is followed by his attackers, as well as a house party all adding elements to this clean Regency Romance. Well developed characters, good plot, enjoyable read.
A very sweet Regency romance – completely clean, and a fun read!
