Never underestimate the power of a determined witch.
Letum Wood is a forest of fog and deadfall, home to the quietly famous Miss Mabel’s School for Girls, a place where young witches learn the art of magic.
Sixteen-year-old Bianca Monroe has inherited a deadly curse.
Determined to break free before it kills her, she enrolls in the respected school to confront the cunning witch who cast the … cunning witch who cast the curse: Miss Mabel.
Bianca finds herself faced with dark magic she didn’t expect, with lessons more dangerous than she could have ever imagined. Will Bianca have the courage to save herself from the curse, or will Miss Mabel’s sinister plan be too powerful?
Miss Mabel’s School for Girls is the first novel in The Network Series, an exciting new fantasy collection. A gripping tale about the struggle to survive, it will take you to a new place and time, one you’ll never want to leave.

This book was pretty good. The main character was strong and her personality was engaging. This book gets you hooked and you won’t want to po it it down.
This book was pretty well-written and different from any other magic fantasy books I’ve read. I do feel that the pacing could have been slowed a bit and the non-protagonist characters built up a bit more, but overall, a pretty good read!
This was fun, but certainly no stretch. Younger audiences will have more fun with it.
Great book I really like it
I already wrote a review for this book……I loved it. Probably on Amazon or Facebook
Grammatical errors and other problems in search of an editor. Reasonably entertaining, but derivative of Harty Potter.
The plot is well-crafted and original, and the story well paced, however the prose tends to be awkward. I noticed some inconsistencies in the story and I was confused about who some if the characters were.
Okay, not great
boring
I enjoyed this series. Made me want to take a walk in the woods…
I really liked this series and I went back to buy the complete set and was very sad that it ended. I would put this series on the same genre of Harry Potter, Septimbus Heap and Ren Crown.
The story is a fantasy novel about a 16 year old girl named Bianca who only has a year to live because her grandmother was cursed as a 17 year old girl. This …
Fascinating. Unexpected twists and turns.
This was an emotional roller coaster. You would think “Yes, she’s got it, and then you would feel hopeless.” several surprises along the way.
Miss Mabel has political aspirations and plays both sides. She takes an apprentice each year. The current one is playing for her life and the lives of her family.
I found this fantasy a great way to escape our current troubled times. I am looking forward to reading more of Ms Cross’s work.
Awesome!
A young adult book but fine for any fan of Harry Potter
This book is pleasant enough if there weren’t so many books to read in the world. It isn’t completely derivative, but feels like a conglomeration of many other books of this genre. But if you like books like this and have run out of series to read, Miss Mabel’s stories are fairly well-written and the central character and her friends are …
Fantasy, witchcraft – a fun coming of age tale
This is a really good book. Well-written, unusual and without any hint of romance (so if you want romance, move on). It is surprisingly dark and sad. I found it convincing, in spite of the secrets that could not be told (an annoying plot contrivance used by so many), the unfolding of the world of Antebellum (before the war?) makes the keeping of …
