Miss Mabel’s School for Girls (The Network Series Book 1) by Katie Cross
The descendent of two powerful witches goes to school to develop her powers.
This is the first of the Network Series Collection (5 novels and one novella at https://www.amazon.com/Network-Complete-Collection-Katie-Cross-ebook/dp/B01GIL5NKQ). It is gripping on its own, but I …
I enjoy the genre of the story.
Harry Potter fans will enjoy
Could not make it more than 50 pages in. If I read the word “buttery” one more time I think my arteries would have clogged and killed me.
A bit like a female a Harry Potter but got better as the story progressed
Wonder characters
but you have to like witches and fantacy
Everything a fantasy reader wants, great characters, great action and a longing to read all books in the series!
I need to purchase the subsequent books. Hoping to get a couple of them cheaper, too.
A very enjoyable book, one that caused me to invest in the rest of the series – also enjoyable. Not perfect – there are some places where the story line goes a bit flat, a theme or character is underdeveloped, or a resolution is a little too pat. But the series kept my interest throughout, with some nice plot twists. The system(s) of magic is …
Interesting plot but the story really dragged.
A story you can fall into. Easy to read and believable characters. First in a series. The entire series is very good.
Very good and hard to put down
It is akin to the world of Harry Potter but darker from the start as one would predict the world of sorcerers and witches would be. I enjoyed reading it and cheered for the protagonist from the start. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
Loved every minute of this read. The characters are wonderful and the story pulled me in and made me want more. The rest of the series is just as well written.
i’m not sure what to say about this book
I really enjoyed this book…so much so that I’m in the middle of the second book of the trilogy. There are a few editing errors that are annoying, but all in all it’s a great book with an original premise and a fascinating story line.
If you are a Harry Potter fan then this is the book for you. I am currently reading the second book and I can not put it down!!!
Something like Harry Potter, but darker. Intriguing enough to make me buy th rest of the series.
Enjoyable. I’ve already purchased the next book. Meant for YA (teens), but good for adults too.
