With Christmas only three days away, Carol Claus agrees to her father’s request that she leave the North Pole on a mission to help save Christmas. Joining single father Ben Hanson and his children for the holidays seems an easy enough task until Santa informs her that Ben is the man behind the disturbing new book ‘Beyond Bah Humbug: Why Lying to Your Children about Santa Claus is a Bad Idea’.
…
Posing as Miss Kane, the children’s new nanny, Carol pulls out all the stops to show Ben how fun Christmas can be, all the while struggling to understand how one man could hate the holidays so much. How could she, Santa’s only daughter, be so attracted to a man who refuses to believe her father exists?
**Please note – this book was formerly titled ‘Carol’s Christmas’.

nice holiday reading
Carol Claus is sent by her father Santa to the Hansen family to save Christmas. Ben, the father, doesn’t believe in Christmas and is writing a book to parents telling them not to lie to their kids about the holiday. While Carol loves the kids she is constantly butting heads with Ben, even if he is a looker. Even when presented with clear evidence that Santa is real he still tries to deny everything.
Carol was great. She was great with the kids, full of Christmas cheer, and wasn’t afraid to stand up to nonbelievers. Ben was ok. I felt he needed a little more character development. His abrupt 180 on his opinion of Carol was jarring for me. He didn’t want her around then all of a sudden he was attracted to her and wanted her to stay. Maybe if it had been a slower progression to attraction I would have liked that better. I also think I might have liked Ben more if their had been a little more from his POV after the truth of Carol’s heritage had been revealed. I wanted to see how he felt after realizing Santa was real and how he was dealing with his feelings for Carol.
While I did have a few minor issues with this book I did still enjoy it. This was a great Christmas novella that I would recommend to people. It was great to get in one last holiday book for the year. I do want to read the next book and see what is going on with Nicholas.
Easy read good Christmas story.
Typical Christmas story reminds me of a few Christmas movies about Santa’s children. Still a fun read.
Sweet Christmas read1
Fun little Christmas story with a huge twist. Finding your one true love and proving love really does conquer all.
Predictable and boring
Quaint and cute. Not very funny. The romantic portion was rushed and didn’t make much sense. But still a entertaining story.
I have to say that I absolutely adored this book! I found myself laughing throughout the entire thing, and I got plenty of warm fuzzies as I read. I think I have found myself another favorite author, and I look forward to reading more from her!
Carol is Santa’s daughter on a mission given to her by her dad . Save Christmas for Patrick and Hillary along with stopping their dad ruining Christmas for all the kids with his book. Ben dubbed scrooge gets a reality check and Christmas delivered whether he wants it or not by his lovely nanny. Maybe even some hope for a real and happy life .
I loved this book sweet, funny and holiday spirit included. This was my first book by this author and I highly enjoyed it. If you love romance , by more and Christmas this is for you.
I recommend the Novella Miss Kane’s Christmas by Caroline Mickelson. It is a quick, cheerful, entertaining read. The characters are whimsical but likable, and the plot is sweet. This is a nice holiday romance story.
