One handywoman. One single dad.One set of twins. And the wall isn’t the only thing being drilled… of twins who just moved to town.
Brantley Cooper gets the shock of his life when I show up on his doorstep to fix up his kids’ new rooms. His son is confused why ‘the pretty lady has a drill,’ and his daughter has a new obsession—me.
On paper, my job is easy. Go in, do their bedrooms, and leave.
In theory, I’m spending eight hours a day with a guarded, sexy as hell guy, and I’m staying for dinner more often than I’m eating it alone, on my couch, with Friends re-runs.
I shouldn’t be staying for dinner. I shouldn’t be helping him out with the twins. I shouldn’t be falling in love with tiny toes and dimpled cheeks.
And I most definitely should not be kissing my client.
Oops…
MISS FIX-IT is a brand-new, standalone romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author, Emma Hart, who brought you BEING BROOKE and CATCHING CARLY.

Ok, I’m not gonna lie (not that I would, but…), the cover to this book is kinda scary. The book? Emma Hart totally nailed this one! Pun intended. Miss Fix-It is a great mix of funny, snarky/sassy, cute, and sweet. The twins! The twins will steal your heart. I love “listening” to them talk. They are absolutely, positively adorable. I don’t need to rehash the synopsis, so I won’t; you’ve already read that. If you’re looking for something that will purely entertain you, have you laughing out loud, and make your heart a little happier then start this book.
Miss Fix-It interested me; because of the female handyman/builder aspect. This field is one dominated by men and so to read/see a women in that role was extraordinary.
Kali loves what she does and you see that love in her knowledge and how she interacts with her clients. I loved her relationship with her step-mom. It was cool to see them get along and have a strong bond. I also liked how real Kali’s thought processes is. It’s refreshing to read about the things she thinks; because as a women I’ve thought some of those things. I also liked her straightforwardness.
The dating site messages Kali and her friend get, well I laughed. Just to funny!
I found the twins adorable and their dad hot. The kids helped add a nice foundation for the relationship; between Brantley and Kali.
The small town aspect was hilarious. The gossip, the people in the restaurants, the idea that you had no privacy and your mom is going to find out everything, even before you tell.
Emma Hart, made the whole story feel realistic. Not fabricated or over the top. Everything flowed nicely and developed at the right paces.
All and all I had a delightful time with Miss Fix-It and plan on picking up another title by Emma Hart.

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.
Oh man this book was awesome. This is only my second book by Emma Hart but I can tell she’s going to become one of my one-click authors. Miss Fix-It is the story of Kali and Brantley and its so much fun!
Kali is a handywoman who has taken over her Dads business – she loves the work and has since she was a little girl, however she has a lot of trouble with people and their surprise/comments etc when they realise that the “K” in “K Hancock” is a woman and not a man. Add to that living in small town with not a lot of dating prospects, or should I say, not a lot of good ones.
Enter Brantley, the new single Dad in town who hires Kali to fix up his house, particularly his kids bedrooms. Thats right, he has kids, twins to be exact. He’s hot as hell but everything that Kali is against dating in man, she doesn’t want to date anyone with kids.
The storyline is so fun and refreshing and had me laughing out loud more times than I care to count. The banter and jokes between Kali and Brant were awesome, not to mention the conversations between Kali and the secondary characters of her Mum and also her best friend Jayda.
Brantleys twins were a huge part of this story and what made it so adorable for me. Who could not fall in love with those two? Even around all the mayhem of single parenthood, Kali finds herself falling into this family – the only question is, will she let go of her worries and see where this could go?
I loved this book so hard! I highly recommend it. Its fun, sexy, has adorable twin toddlers, its hilarious and has no angst. Well done to Emma Hart, this is a new favourite of mine.
This book was just fun and the kind of book that puts a smile on your face the whole time. Kali was hysterical and her inner monologues were great and Brantley was a charmer. And of course, the twins were adorable. This is a low angst read that is easy to devour and devour it I did.
Miss Fix It is a standalone novel by the very talented Emma Hart. The last book I read by her was Lust and I stated that it was my favorite Emma book. I can now say that Lust is my favorite extra naughty book by Emma and Miss Fit It is my favorite sexy and hilarious book by her. She can really write anything and I will read it!
Kali is a twenty-six year old sassy handy-woman that isn’t looking for the whole white picket fence life. She loves what she does. Doesn’t need a man. She definitely doesn’t need or want kids. She just wants respect as a woman builder and to get laid once in awhile by non-fuckboys. Is that too much to ask for? I don’t think so. What she didn’t plan for was meeting the Coopers. The new family that moved into her small town. The kids needed their bedrooms completed. Their father needed his own room. They needed her. More than any of them expected.
Kali had her rules. No kissing the clients. No falling for the clients. The minute she saw Brantley she knew she was in trouble. A hot single dad was one thing but a hot single dad with an ass like his was a whole new kind of level of fucked. It didn’t matter if he was in sweats or a suit, he was mouth-watering and when he winked at her, it was panty-melting, blush-inducing. Yeah, she was in so much trouble with this client. She shouldn’t want him. He has two kids. Kids that she never saw herself having. But they are damn adorable. Will she break her own rules and risk four hearts to be broken?
I absolutely loved everything about this book! The characters. The story. The heat. The love. Even the doubts. Loved it all. Kali is sassy, badass, and awkward. Brantley is sexy, funny, and most of all…he is an amazing father. Ellie and Eli are so fucking adorable! I loved that they were not just in the background but right there alongside Kali and Brantley throughout the book. The banter between Kali and Brantley is so much fun, flirty, and sexy. And when the kids are involved it makes it even more fun and real. Those kids are just the best.
Overall…it’s a fun ride you need to get on! I laughed until I snorted. I felt the heat. I even cried! I was fully invested in this couple and the twins. I felt like I was right there watching them build their rooms and life.
Quotes:
The door swung open, revealing to me the man I presumed to be Brantley Cooper.
Holy mother of orgasms.
“Oh dear, Daddy. Are you hading a tantwum?” Ellie looked at him with her eyebrows raised.
“Do you need a time out?” Eli asked, eyes wide.
“Aside from not raising my children to be assholes, I think my life’s mission is to make you blush every time I see you.”

Okay, this book was just pure fun! Kali makes her living doing home repairs and using her initials so until she shows up the client doesn’t know she is a woman. When she shows up for her new job to fix up two kids bedrooms it turns out to be for a single dad of three-year-old twins. These twins are something. Kali never wanted to have kids and wants nothing to do with kids but these kids soon find a way into her heart and so does the dad. Brantley lost his wife when the twins were babies and has not let anyone into his heart since but soon he finds himself coming back to life. Moving to this small town for a new start was just what this family needed and mixing business and pleasure works out too. Definitely recommend this one!
Sweet, adorable and tantalizing.
That’s the words I would use to summarize Miss Fix it. The sexy cover is a bit deceiving but I loved this book for other reasons.
The whole plot had a real-life feel. Single dad, the father of four-year-old twins, wanting a fresh start, juggling work-life balance and in over his head with trying to find daycare and getting the house fixed up.
Kali is a handywoman just like her dad before her and for most people in the little town, children seem to carry on in the family business.
The whole story is heartwarming from start to finish.
I didn’t find Kali the usual sassy ball-buster of a heroine Emma Hart normally writes but the story didn’t lack banter as Brantley and Kali flirted and struggled with their attraction to each other, the kids though, they delivered plenty of the chuckles.
I found the sexy teasers and build-up for this book more of what I would have expected to be inside a read by Emma hart but Miss Fix-it was I would say had more focus on the kids who are a big part of this story, their funny ways, and antics, funny scenarios any parent would snicker at, kids are kids you love em but are pulling your hair out some days and Emma Hart delivered the terrible but adorable two perfectly.
Miss Fix-it is a heartwarming and charming read that I enjoyed. A slow-burn romance with an adorable finish. Recommended for any reader looking for a single dad romance with adorable kids who are a big part of the plot.
Told in Kali’s pov and leads to hea.
Miss Fix-It by Emma Hart is another unputdownable read!
Emma has a way of combining the perfect amount of sexy, sassy, emotional and funny all wrapped up with a pretty bow in one novel. Add in the fact that she writes highly original and unique plot lines, and you have an incredible novel. I have never read a book about a female handywoman before this one.
Brantley is one seriously hot single dad. You can tell how much he loves his children, and that alone will make you fall in love with him.
I have read every single novel written by Emma, and I can say with 100% certainty that all of her novels are an instant must read!! I don’t even need to read the synopsis of her books before I one-click. She has become an auto buy author!
5/5 Stars!

Emma Hart has definitely become one of my one-click authors. I was excited to read this book ‘cuz I love a good single dad book 🙂 This one was a very heartwarming, fun, sexy read that once you starting reading it, you won’t be able to put it down. Loved the chemistry between Kali and Brantley. The story flowed really nicely and you couldn’t help but fall for the kids in this story. They were just adorable 🙂
Kali has slowly taken over the family business and she loves every single part of her life but it seems there’s something missing although she doesn’t know exactly what. She doesn’t see herself having kids one day and when she does, she wants to run to the other side. When she meets Brantley, there’s an instant attraction and when he hires her to work on his kids bedrooms, she’ll try to do whatever it takes to keep it professionally but the more she gets to know him, the more she feels she’s not only falling for his charms, but also for his kids. Will she allow herself to feel or will she let her work come between something she thought she’d never want in the first place?…
NO SPOILERS!
Emma Hart did it again! Miss Fix-It was absolutely amazing and an utter delight to read. It was sexy, hilarious, and highly entertaining, and I completely fell head over heels in love with Brantley, Kali, and the twins, Eli and Ellie. I loved the Vegas Nights series from Emma Hart, but romantic comedies are where her talent and humor truly shine. I loved her writing style and the phenomenal storyline and characters she created in Miss Fix-It. Everything about this book was perfect and I loved it with all of my heart. It was definitely one of my TOP FAVORITE reads of 2017!
Brantley and Kali were amazing and I fell in love with them and their story from page one. I loved their personalities and chemistry together, and how their relationship progressed throughout. I loved all of their banter and interactions with each other, and I honestly can’t tell you how many times I laughed out loud at them and the antics of the twins. Eli and Ellie were adorable and they stole my heart as well. They were so stinking cute and I loved their addition to the story. It definitely made things more lively and entertaining. I liked reading the book from Kali’s POV, but I think I would have loved it even more if it had been told from both Brantley and Kali’s perspectives. With that being said, Miss Fix-It was beyond amazing and I couldn’t have loved, or been happier, with the conclusion to Brantley and Kali’s story more if I tried.
Miss Fix-It was an extraordinary and memorable romantic comedy, and Emma Hart completely blew me away with her talent and the storyline and characters. Brantley and Kali’s story was one of my top favorite books from Ms. Hart and of the year. I loved this story and these characters so very much, and I couldn’t have been more ecstatic with the outcome to such an amazing and wonderful family. It made me so happy and I couldn’t stop smiling. Miss Fix-It was truly phenomenal and I highly recommend it!
Dumb not well written
enjoyable romance. great characters. easy read. Something to go through and enjoy it for what it is, A nice easy romance
Wow! So I totally only meant to read a few chapters while I took a short thirty minute break from adulting…ended up devouring this story in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. All I can think to say is #SorryNotSorry
Although I have quite a few of Emma Hart’s books sitting on my kindle I must regrettably admit that I haven’t read a single one of them because in the past I have instantly one-clicked them before simply forgetting all about them because life is forever getting in the way. I am totally hoping to redeem myself and read a few of them as soon as I have a free moment of time!
Miss Fix-It was a hilariously funny, sexy and extremely addictive read. It’s hard to believe that it wasn’t until late 2016 that I decided to expand my horizon (on genres) and give romcoms a shot because they have seemingly become my new favorite types of reads. Let me just say that this book was no exception.
This story had it all from that undeniable chemistry to that comical humor that romcom readers crave. Brantley and Kali are the kind of characters that you find yourself instantly falling for, but when you thrown in two adorable children you can’t help but fall head over heels in love. I loved that this book was told in dual perspectives because readers are able to see a firsthand look at the development of their feelings. There was just so much to LOVE about this story that I don’t even know how to tell all the reasons why without giving away too much of the storyline, so I would just like to leave you with this…GO AND BUY THE BOOK NOW! Trust me you will not regret it for a single second!
I loved it!!
