Rain Storm is every man’s wildest dream. A fantasy. When people look at her, they see what she wants them to see. They see the illusion. The reality is much different. What lies below the buffed and glossed exterior is the bartender who teeters in four-inch heels, tapping kegs, pouring shots, and flirting for bigger tips; the scared fifteen-year-old who lost the most important man in her life; the … life; the girl whose mother checked out when she needed her most; the teenager who partied hard, ended up pregnant, and dropped out of school; the single mother who works multiple jobs to support herself and her daughter.
Even her boyfriend sees her as an accessory—something pretty to keep on a shelf until he wants to take her down and show her off.
But then Chase Holgate walks into Blondie’s, and from the first time he looks into Rain’s eyes, she knows he can see her. Not just the beautiful exterior but her pain, her vulnerability, and her strength.
With just one look, Chase knows Rain is the one who could take his shredded heart and sew it back together.
Now, all he has to do is convince her.
Miss February is the first book in the Calendar Girl duet.

This is a must read from Karen Cimms!
This book was so addictive!!
I couldn’t find the energy nor the effort to put this book down. The moment I started reading, I just kept going. I kept telling myself, I’m going to put it down and do some chores around the house and then get back to it. But nope, I was unable to. I just was so freaking consumed with Rain, Preston and Chase. These three were just so addicting.
Rain has had a whirlwind affair with Preston. He’s a rich, conceited jerk who keeps stringing Rain along. He keeps giving her false hopes and promises and since she loves him, she keeps believing him. I don’t, for a minute, think that Preston wants to string her along, but because of his influences and his money he isn’t allowed to pick and choose who he wants to be with. More like he is being controlled by his father, which really sucks because I honestly thought for a minute that Rain and Preston could have been a good couple together.
When Rain starts realizing that Preston isn’t going to change and/or stop lying to her about his intentions with her, she gives him the boot. She wants to focus on herself and her daughter, but then Chase appears and she felt electricity with him when she first met him at her mother’s shop. But she didn’t think anything of it especially since he had a girlfriend at the time and she was with Preston.
But when Rain and Chase meet up again, they’re both single and the chemistry is strong between them. They start courting each other, and one thing leads to another and before you know it, things are getting downright serious between Rain and Chase.
But it seems like lies and deceit will pull them apart. They seem to head in the right direction, when all of a sudden something comes up and they end up spiraling downhill.
Chase and Rain obviously have a lot of things to work out before they can have a HEA.
This was a total 5 star read for me.
Writing reviews without spoilers is hard but what’s the point in reading if you already know what’s going to happen? So mine won’t contain any because you want to read Miss February which is book 1 in the Calendar Girl duet. It’s a really sweet romance. Chase Holgate is all kinds of wonderful. He’s sweet, caring, sexy, hardworking, and genuine. He’s a really good guy. Rain Storm is a good girl with a bad reputation that she doesn’t deserve. She’s a hardworking, smart and sensible single mom that hides behind her beauty. From their first encounter there is an attraction, a chemical reaction to one another. There’s a maturity in their conversations that make them relatable. Unfortunately, not everyone wants to see them together. Your heart breaks at the cruelty and gets angry at the indefensible. At times you want to reach in and shake some sense into Rain or give Chase a hug because he’s hurting from the actions of his family. And, of course, there’s trouble lingering in the background. You know it’s coming, you can feel it, but you really hope it’s not going to be that bad. So they’ll have to fight hard for that HEA and I can’t wait to read about it in Mrs. February which comes out Spring 2018.
