I ‘ve read all of Aubrey Bondurant’s books, and I’ve loved each one. She describes her writing style as adult contemporary erotic romantic comedy—think smutty chick-lit—but no matter how she describes it, you can count on her stories to be engaging, smart and witty. Her stories always seem to pull me right in, and I’m rewarded with a sexy love story, relatable characters and charming details. If you haven’t read Aubrey Bondurant yet, you’re missing out. She’s a not-to-be-missed indie author that contemporary romance readers need to have on their TBRs.
I’ve been totally hooked on Aubrey Bondurant’s latest series, the Miss series. I love workplace romances, a trope Bondurant does really well, and this one has a fake relationship spin to it. A heartbroken boss and his snarky, sexy assistant team up as a fake couple to attend a destination wedding where he’ll be facing off with his former fiancée. Aubrey has a sharp, witty sense of humor, but this was hands down her funniest book yet. I found myself laughing out loud at times and I definitely smiled my way through this book. There was plenty of emotion here, too, and both of these characters struggled with self-confidence in different ways. Teagan Larson is a woman with a difficult past, and she uses sarcasm as a shield. She may put on a brave face, but inside she felt vulnerable and way out of her league on the arm of super wealthy Reid Maxwell. But Reid had his own confidence struggles after he suffered the humiliating blow of catching his fiancée in the act of cheating on him. Normally upbeat, kind and a true gentleman, Reid sunk so low, Teagan had to stage an intervention to snap him out of it. Reid and Teagan had such great communication, undoubtedly because of their professional relationship, but a real friendship blossomed there, too. There was always some chemistry simmering between them, but it wasn’t anything either would act on given the fact that Reid was engaged. But when a now single Reid realizes he’s truly over his ex, he’s thinking about Teagan differently. Couple all of that with the whole fake relationship situation and some close quarters, and that simmering chemistry is suddenly boiling.
Miss Belief grabbed my attention from the first page with a sweet and seriously sexy romance between two people with some major confidence and trust issues. I loved every second of Reid and Teagan’s story, and my heart ached and raced as make-believe morphed into reality between them. I can’t wait for the next book in this series! Five smooches from me for Miss Belief by Aubrey Bondurant!

Teagan is going in for an intervention with Reid after his drunken mistake at attempting to get his email at work causes concerns by one of the tech guys. Reid is devastated over the breakup from his fiance after catching her in a compromising situation with his brother. An upcoming wedding has him on edge and his idea of bringing Teagan as his fake girlfriend turns into anything but for these two. Will they get their chance at happiness or will it all go up in smoke thanks to the interference from his brother once again? This story had me cheering for this couple to find their happiness!
This is probably one of Aubrey’s funniest books to date! This fake relationship is also a friends to lovers AND office romance. Teagan is MY KIND OF GIRL! Some of the things that she says… her replies and comebacks….. ABSOLUTELY the same things I would have said.
To me… Aubrey is the QUEEN of Office Romance…… but this book takes it to another level! While he is technically her boss, they are also friends…. and then adding that “Will you be my fake date” thing to it, with how snarky Teagan is (and how clueless Reid seems to be) you already know it will make for an interesting time! I laughed so many times reading this book. And OMG are they hot…. once they get that going….. well let’s just say that I did NOT see some of that coming!
Definitely a must read! This Miss series has been so great so far, and I am MORE than ready for Chance’s story…. I was intrigued by him before….. but after his role in this story…. I am chomping at the bit for more of him!
If you are in serious need of some good read between all the darks you don’t need to look further. “Miss Belief” is perfect book for you. This series is getting better and better with every book and still with book three is one of my favorite series.
If you are up to date with whole series you may remember Teagan from second book “Miss Understanding”. I liked her a lot casue she is strong with a hint of sass but she has her vulnerabilities which make her even more reliable and real. She is like that best friend that you always wanted. On the other side there is Reid who was too in second book and it was sooo amazing to finally got his story. As the story unfolds we are able to see all his layers of sexiness. After his wake up call he finally can see things much clearer and finally realizes what is right in front of him.
This book is yet another one by Aubrey Bondurant that I was not able to put down. And I’m certain that it will happen with next books by her as well.
So of your up for book that will ma do you smile and even laugh, got your hear squeezed like a lemon and read some read emotional scenes you need to read this book. It’s a stand alone but I totally recommend reading all three books for you. You definitely won’t regret it.
I really really enjoyed this book – stayed up till 2am just to finish; Reid used to be a spoiled rich boy, until circumstances made him leave home and do what he always wanted – make it on his own; Teagan had a sad childhood, but, the circumstances with her niece, her current life had some bright spots, Reid, but an unsure future was on the horizon.
Reid and Teagan team up, to help him out of a family situation – and of course the attraction was already there – but with them staying together, and that first kiss – the attraction, chemistry and downright sexual energy that surrounded them before, is even stronger now.
What I like is that they are pretty good in the communication department – which leads them to the bedroom (of course), but when outside sources intervene, and Teagan’s insecurity rises – they have to find away back to each other, which thank god, they do.
The story of Reid and Teagan is not to be missed – I loved it!
WOW!! JUST WOW!!!! MISS BELIEF by Aubrey Bondurant was/ is Beautifully Designed and Written!!
Reid and Teagen’s Storytelling had me laughing out loud and crying at the same time which were Happy Tears!!! Their banner between the characters were outstandingly hilarious and their chemistry was through the roof once they cross “the line” just being friends.
Miss Belief is definitely a Must Read Book but So is this Series!!
This one was right on point with the other two reads in the fact it was a light hearted read that had me laughing out loud. The characters were very well written and I felt like I could identify with everyone in the book. The snark, the tension, the heat and the humor truly gave me a perfect read that cured my book hangover from a prior read.
LOVED THIS!!
I want Reid to be the nacho chip to my Cheez Whiz!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this well-written, fake relationship, office romance! This series is one of those that keep getting better and better with each book.
We met Teagan in book 2, Miss Understanding. I loved her back then, and couldn’t wait for her story. It was everything!
Her sass made her strong and admirable, her vulnerability made her lovable and real, and her badassery made her enviable. I just adored her, wanted to be her BFF, and felt the need to have her back.
Reid was also in book 2, and I’m so happy to finally have his story. As the story is told, more and more of his sexy self comes shining through. Once he has his little epiphany, once he’s seeing things a bit clearer, realizes what’s right in front of him…lookout. Because a determined Reid is a HOT AF Reid.
Unfortunately, he has to deal with a horrible, cheating ex and an annoying MILP, a mother I’d like to punch. And sadly, so does Teagan. But the connection Reid and Teagan have cannot be broken, no matter how awful those two were.
This book was unputdownable for me, which is no surprise with this author. I know I’m always going to get a quality story from her with all those feels and all the things I need and love in my romance novels.
I smiled and laughed many times throughout this story, as well as felt my heart squeeze from the touching, emotional scenes. And the steamy times…yeah, those tingles and sizzles were plentiful.
Miss Belief is book 3 in the Miss Series. It’s a stand-alone, so books 1 and 2 don’t have to be read in order to enjoy this one. I can’t recommend this series enough!
5 Stars
Miss Belief by Aubrey Bondurant is the third book in the Miss Series and can be read as a stand-alone. Even though it is a stand-alone, I do recommend reading the other books in the series as well because they’re amazing! Miss Belief was fantastic and totally unputdownable!
After reading the first two books, I couldn’t wait for Teagan’s story! She has had the biggest crush on her boss, but she always made it take a backseat because he was taken. So when an opportunity presents itself to be his fake girlfriend, she jumps at the chance. Too bad she doesn’t realize that faking it will be a lot harder than she thinks!
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved this story! The characters, the storyline, and the overall feel of the book, was incredible. The chemistry between the two was smokin’ hot and I honestly had to fan myself a time or two! I highly recommend reading it!
Let me introduce you to my newest book boyfriend, Reid Maxwell. He’s a true gentleman and a gentle man. He’s caring and considerate. He’s not afraid to show his vulnerability and insecurities – to the right person. And behind closed doors, he’s got a dirty mouth and a body that he knows how to use in the best of ways. Sigh!
Since I can’t have him, Teagan Larson will have to step in, and does she ever! She’s a fierce woman with a strong personality that hides a sensitive centre.
Reid and Teagan have had very different upbringings and different lives but this all falls away when they are together. They are both comfortable and electric together – the best of combinations.
Of course it’s not all smooth sailing, and Bondurant introduces several side characters – including the ex-fiancée from hell – intent on pulling this couple apart. Their behaviour is over-the-top outrageous but it made me laugh, especially because it gave Teagan ample opportunity to voice her particular brand of snarky comebacks. So satisfying!
MISS BELIEF by Aubrey Bondurant is book three in the Miss series. All the books can be read as stand alones.
I absolutely loved this story .
Reid and Teagan’s characters instantly shot into my heart , and that is where they stayed .
Teagan’s strength of character , and inner strength, shine through throughout the story , not only with what happened through her childhood, but with what she is willing to do for her niece and sister .
Reid likes to please people , he likes to make people feel comfortable. He always puts others before himself .
He may have had a privileged upbringing, but it was not particularly happy or loving .
Seeing Reid and Teagan’s vulnerable sides squeezed at my heart . They always had to have their game face on in front of others , but together, slowly but surely, they could let that mask slip , to find out truths , and be each others safe place .
This story is such an amazing read .
5 MISS BELIEF STARS!! I love this book….it put a smile on my face. Reid and Teague were perfect and had me flipping pages all the way through. This author is quickly becoming a 1-Click for me….her books are fabulous.
I love this series.
Teagan and Reid are fun people. Teagan is a bit feisty and Reid needs her. He has been short and mean and drunk a lot and Teagan notices, she calls him out about it all.
A fake romance (love these), a wedding and lots of miscommunication leads to hilariousness as well as some anger.
It is a great story with great characters
I’ve just started this wonderfully written and witty office romance, and it’s like a breath of fresh air after a challenging week! I already love Teagan and Reid and their delightful banter! For sure, Aubrey’s best to date! She is for sure the Queen of Office Romance! Highly recommend!
I’ve said it once or twice and I’ll say it again-Aubrey Bondurant gets better and better every book I read. AND I’ve read them all. Office romance mixed with fake relationship mixed with unrequited feelings mixed with a touch of “Pretty Woman” without the prostitution of course. I smiled throughout and could barely put the book down to do required things like make dinner or sleep. Teagan is Reid’s employee. All she wants to do is snap him out of the funk he is in, finish up her contract and get back home to her sister and niece. But life has other surprises in store for her. While putting on an air of being a strong, independent woman, there are some underlying issues that she seems incapable of letting go of. Reid is well…a wealthy guy who’s heart has been broken. He is nowhere near in the market for “feelings”. I quite enjoyed Teagan putting certain people in their places. I loved every minute of this story although I suddenly have a craving for Cheez Whiz (it’s been many many years lol). Another home run!
I received a free ARC copy of this book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is book three in the series but it easily stands alone. If you have read all three books this is Reid and Teagan’s story and it was perfect. If you haven’t read this series before its a boss/employee romance that takes place in Dubai.
Teagan has had a crush on her boss, Reid, for awhile now but he was engaged to a woman named Vanessa who lives in the Unites States. However he is broken hearted because she cheated on him with his brother, Chance. Teagan is tired of him being a mess and so she tells him to get his act together.
Thats when he confesses he has a wedding to go to and needs a date and thats how he and Teagan get into a fake boyfriend/girlfriend romance. The two have worked together but never been friends and this is the story of how a fake relationship turns into friendship and so much more.
Vanessa is the ex and she is a big mean girl and I actually kinda loved her. I know I wasn’t supposed too. But as an ex she lost the best guy and I kinda felt sorry for her. The next book is about Chance and Teagan’s sister, Tory and well I hope Vanessa is back because she was fun to hate.
This story is the third in the series and I have read them all. I think this one is my absolute favorite. Its definitely a fun and light read.
Miss Belief certainly ticked all my boxes and I have to say this is probably my favourite in this series. I was excited for Reid Maxwell and Teagan Larson’s story and I wasn’t disappointed, this book was everything expected and so much more.
Teagan Larson is doing what she needs to do to support her sister and her nieces cancer treatment and that means dancing in an nightclub in Dubai as well as holding an office job down, her boss is Reid Maxwell and as much as she has crushed on him she knows he is off limits but when he comes to her needing a favour she struggles to come up with a reason to say no.
Reid needs a date for a wedding and the only person who doesn’t put up with his mopey ways is Teagan Larson, she will kick his butt into shape and that’s exactly what he needs but what happens when this couple really get to know each other…….Will they cross the line
This is taking fake dating to a whole another level and once you add in the friendship, families and the fact they work together you get a perfect read. The characters are really likeable and easy to relate to and their story is emotional and captivating with just the right amount of humour. I loved everything about this book and this series should certainly be on everyone’s TBR list. I highly recommend one clicking his wonderful read and I’m off to add it to my list of best reads of the year. Great job Miss Bondurant, can’t wait to see where you take us next.
Teagan has been crushing on Reid and now she works for him. He has just ended a long term on again off again relationship. Teagan decides she has to force him out of his funk and in the process he asks her to be his fake girlfriend for a wedding. Can a weekend in paradise turn them from fake relationship to real?
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Teagan and Reid together! She is sassy and isn’t afraid to give Reid a piece of her mind. He came from money but doesn’t care if he fits in with that world. He doesn’t ever treat Teagan differently because of her past. Miss Belief will make you laugh one minute and swoon the next. Always great to get a little snippet of previous characters too. Now to wait for book 4.
I enjoyed this book. Teagan and Reid’s story was a funny, sweet, cute and poignant. I felt a very deep connection to Teagan and my heart hurt for her. Outside, she was all spunk and sass but inside she had a very tender battle scarred heart. As for Reid, I honestly was a bit torn over him. I liked him I did but I also could not help but feel he was incredibly foolish and that rubbed me the wrong way. Once he wised up, he grew on me and by the end of the book I found myself very much invested in this couple. A really wonderful romance. This is my unbiased, volitional review.
5 star Review Miss Belief (Miss Series #3)by Aubrey Bondurant
This is Reid Maxwell and Teagan Larson’s story and from the first to the last chapter I was drawn in. Miss Belief is a well written story with characters you cannot help but fall for, they are engaging and easy to relate too and I really liked them.
This is at times thought provoking as although Teagan gives off an air of self confidence, underneath she is not as confident as she projects. I think we can all relate to that, I know I certainly can. With her past and what she is currently doing to help pay her niece’s medical costs, she doesn’t think she deserves to find love and happiness, particularly with the man she who is now her boss. I felt for Teagan and really admired her for all she has been through and her love for her family.
She takes no prisoners and is not afraid to call Reid out, I liked that feisty side of her . Reid is still reeling after finding out ex ex fiancee cheated on him, with his brother no less. When he needs a date for a wedding, he asks Teagan and that is where the fun starts.
What happens when pretend becomes reality? Will they cross the boss/employee line and in doing so find a happiness and lasting love that they both deserve? Or will their insecurities ruin their chance of finding happiness?
This is my favourite book in the series so far, a little gem that I loved.
