Overall great writer who can consistently put mere words & phrases together to suck you into her characters world. Am a big fan. It doesn’t matter what story you’re reading you feel it is each it’s own individual story. It’s not the ph here we go again feel. This book is part of a series. I get the overall sense you can read them separately, as I didn’t feel like I missed anything BUT!! Am am familiar with the Quirlixien (probably butchered the spelling ) series. SOOO I would read them in order UNLESS you are familiar with its storyline. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. HAPPY READING!!

Prince Finn, a dragon shifter, and Sadie, an Earth human, are thrust into the portal and back to his planet where there are no more females. These two are a very interesting pair that start out with a bit of rough edges, but soon start to see the passion in each other. Once the romance starts, it is very heartwarming the way they interact. The storyline packs a punch as well with plenty of action, twists and drama happening all around them. Can not wait for the next storyline.

Mischievous Prince is the fifth book in the Captured by a Dragon-Shifter series by Michelle M. Pillow.
I just find this time frame in the dragon series super cute. It is so different from the present where Galaxy Brides exists.
In this time frame, the Var and the Draig have to use a portal through Earth to find female companions, however they do not know what to expect from the people of Earth so portal is not easily accessible to just anyone.
I enjoyed this story a lot. It was short and sweet. Finn is a little reckless and just does whatever comes to mind first but he is also growing up and has a lot of loyalty. Sadie is just so cute and brave.
I read this in one sitting because it was just so cute and an easy read. I love all the dragon series and I can’t wait to read all of them!

Another great book by Michelle Pillow! I just can’t get enough of the Qurilixen world, the Dragon Shifters and the Cat Shifters. Prince Finn, a dragon shifter, and Sadie, a modern day woman, are at first glance, a most unlikely couple. This book is full of romance, intrigue, and action. A great read! And where is Prince Ivar, what has happened to him? And have we seen the last of Montague? Hopefully, we will learning the answers to these questions in the next book in the series. I also just loved learning the origin of the crystal … what a great bonus!

Fun quirky and mischievous and that is just the younger Prince of Draig, Finn. Convincing his best friend and Crown Var Prince Ivar to the Earth portal to find mates, Finn is desperate to continue their shifter species. Little does he know he will meet her. The action and bickering between Ivar and Finn are entertaining and seeing Finn interact with Sadie is sweet. I love their intimate moments when you feel their love. It makes me want to hug myself. I really did enjoy this story and seeing the beginning of the Draig males wearing the crystal to find their mates. I noticed the beginning of that tradition. Thoroughly enjoyable.

I love the Qurilixen world, and this is another part of it that is worth reading, especially since it involves both the Draig and the Var. Prince Finn and Sadie meet in an unusual way, but manage to find love together even with everything going on around them. I really liked these two characters, but now I can’t wait to find out what happened to Ivar.

Outstanding Series !! . . .
This is Dragon-shifter Prince Finn and human food blogger, Sadie Harcourt’s story. The Qurilixen people face extinction if they cannot find mates. For some reason, females are not being born on their planet and they need to bring in compatible women from other worlds. So Finn comes up with a plan to save his people from dying out. He convinces his friend, Prince Ivar, to come with him through a portal to Earth where they can bring a couple of women through to their planet. Finn has his own secret plans of staying on Earth for a year so that his people would not destroy the portal they feared would let humans cross over, figuring they would not destroy it if the Prince was still on Earth. The portal opens every year, so he would return at that time.
Things never work according to plan, however. Ivar and Finn get into a fight. Sadie somehow thinks she is going to stop them. Ivar ends up tossing Finn back through the portal along with Sadie since she has seen the portal and could tell someone about it. Sadie finds herself stuck on another planet with a handsome man she is strongly attracted to. Despite her determination to avoid commitment, is she ready for her upcoming marriage? Will Ivar be safe while he is trapped on Earth for a year?
I love this series and it’s a pleasure to be re-reading the author’s books as she brings our attention back to them. You will never be bored with the many stories where you will meet some of your favorite characters. Grab your copy and enjoy the adventure!
Falling Into Love
Michelle M. Pillow’s fifth book in her ‘Captured by a Dragon Shifter’ series is deliciously delightful. Finn and Sadie, the main characters, are so into each other, literally. Finn talks his friend Ivar into going through a portal to Earth to bring back some women as brides. They end up in a fight at the opening of the portal. Sadie sees them fighting and tries to stop them. Ivar knocks Finn into the portal and then pushes Sadie through right before it closes. Now the fun begins. Primitive man meets modern girl and sparks fly. I loved this story so much I couldn’t put it down. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!
This alien romance features a strong human female lead who suddenly finds herself on Finn’s homeworld where for some reason no females are being born and his race needs to find mates or become extinct. Finn and Ivar, his friend, decided to go through a portal to earth in the hope of finding mates but an argument between them lead to Finn and Sadie going back through the portal leaving Ivar behind.
I liked Sadie who faced many surprises which she handled better than I expected, Finn and Sadie end up becoming mates, which was a surprise to both of them but fortunately it worked out well.
A beautifully written book with an interesting story line. The characters are strong, and the story flows quickly and smoothly. I enjoyed reading this story.
The fifth book in the Captured by a Dragon-Shifter series a well written story with a very good storyline, the story flowed smoothly across the pages. I enjoyed reading Dragon-shifter Prince Finn and human Food blogger, Sadie Harcourt’s story. This story was well worth reading, I would recommend.
Michelle M Pillow’s books are as addictive as your favorite food or whatever your addicted to (pizza & diet soda for me), with one exception, her books get better & better!
I highly, highly recommend this book I also want to say this can be read as a standalone but you may be a tiny bit lost. You won’t be disappointed if you start at the beginning.
The remainder of this review has SPOILERS:
I adored the fact that the Earth city & state was Oxford, Mississippi considering that is Michelle M Pillow’s mailing address city & state from her website.
Sadie is one helluva woman! After her initial 5 minutes of running & screaming like a banchee, she literally acted like it was all so normal. I would find a corner to sit in, say bye bye to my sanity & never leave the corner. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Not to mention the way she speaks to Queen Galina as fearlessly as she does, she is my hero. Plus she tells Finn to more or less get off his ass, stop feeling sorry for himself & do something about the problems in the book. Not to mention the fact that Sadie is the reason Finn finally becomes the man he’s supposed to be instead of the manchild he’s always been. She is also very smart and fair in her dealings with the villains in the book. Much respect. Can you tell I like Sadie?
One last thing, the origin of the crystal ritual is finally revealed in a very nice way.
Michelle M Pillow yet again has written a glorious Qurillixen book!
History Revealed
I’ve read a few of the Qurilixen World books now, but not in any particular order, so this one fills in a lot of the gaps. It explains where advent of both the crystal and the marriage tent, as well as the ceremony timing. Sadie might be one of my favourite Draig princess to date; strong, opionated, forceful and brave, she’s a great wife to the previously puckish and emotional Finn. And Ivar is stranded on earth! I can’t wait to read about his adventures.
Good plan, bad execution!!
Prince Finn talks his best friend, Prince Ivar, into sneaking through the portal and grabbing two women and then sneaking back home before the portal closes. There has been talk of permanently closing the portal, the only way to find brides for their planet, Qurilixian. For some reason, there are no longer any female offspring being born and within the next couple of generations they will all die off. Finn sees this as a way to save his people, and also keep the portal open. He has a plan of his own that he doesn’t tell Ivar. He is planning on shoving Ivar through the portal at the last minute with his woman and he is going to stay on earth for the next year when the portal will open again. He thinks this will force the King and Queen into keeping the portal open for at least another year.
Sophie is a food blogger that doesn’t do permanent relationships. She is constantly moving from one location to another every few months to get new material for her blog. She sees Finn and Ivar fighting and goes to break up the fight. Ivar takes advantage of Finn’s distraction and knocks him out and throws him through the portal. He then grabs Sophie, because she has seen Finn disappear, and throws her through the portal also, just before it closes. She finds herself on an alien planet with no way to get home. Not only that but Finn arranges for the “marriage” tent to be set up and they spend the night together. In the morning the Queen finds them and according to Qurilixian law they are now married. Sophie is not very happy with this arrangement!
This is a great book, full of laughter and mischief. Sophie is a strong, funny character and you will love her as she struggles with her relationship with Finn and the whole royal family thing.

4.5 stars
It took a little bit for me to get into this story (probably because I read The Reluctant Lord first and wanted more of Clara and Vlad’s story and this is set in a time before the Galaxy Brides brought mates to Qurilixen). But once I got in to it, the story took off and kept me flipping pages eager to see what happened next.
Sadie and Finn have a rough start thanks to Ivar (can’t wait to find out what happened to him), but soon the intrigue and drama begins in ernest. With Finn’s unauthorized use of the portal and a missing Var prince, the purists, extremists, and some elders see this as a time to promote their views and they don’t care who they take down. I liked that Sadie knew her own mind and didn’t fight against her feelings. On the other hand, Finn struggled with his feelings. Princess Eve brings a breath of fresh air and a touch of home to help Sadie adjust to her new home. I loved that both sets of royals (Draig and Var) do not jump to conclusions and use their heads as is fitting for heads of state. The Var queen is awesome and I would love to see more of her race.
The conclusion was great with justice being served. The birth of a Qurilixen custom was surprising and anabsolutely perfect fit in the story.
I would definitely recommend all the Qurilixen books (and if you want a super awesome series try this author’s MacGregor series – it’s freaking awesome)
This book is part of a series and I recomend reading them to get the best out of this one. Michelle has several series and books in this well developed world. Her books are very enjoyable. She has created many fantastic characters that you can share in their experiences as they travel the journey of life.

Prince Finn has his heart in the right place, though he is still impetuous. Sadie is an independent woman, a rolling stone, never staying in one place very long. I like that their attraction from afar doesn’t mean instalove, but fate does throw them together to get to know each other. Portal travel is explained a little more and a big baddie tries to tear them apart. And if like me you have read the Dragon Lord series, you’re going to love the Easter egg at the end. The Qurilixen world is brought to life beautifully. The romance is a slow burn though their sexual compatibility is evident. Present day earth and sci-fi blend effortlessly for a great read.
