What can I say, I love ready Stacy Reid books, I enjoy them so much, I have a smile on my face when I am done. This book is about Callie and Graham who parents are attracted to each other. The problem is Callie is trying to be matchmaker and Graham wants to stop her. Because Graham is trying to stop Callie from interfering, they are put in each other’s path a lot at a house party. I just thought Graham and Callie were cute together, they teased each other, their interaction made me happy. You will enjoy this short read and will enjoy every minute of it.
I receive an ARC copy of this book for my honest opinion.
This was a great short CHRISTMAS story of 2 families coming together and finding love during the holiday season. Callie knew her mother had feelings for the Earl of Deerwood but was shy and wood not act on her feelings so Callie decided to play matchmaker. Graham the Earl of Deerwood’s son thought Callie and her mother were scheming to take advantage of his father so he kept tabs on Callie. Little did he expect to be the one caught in one of Callie’s schemes. You’ll have to read it to see what happens next!! I loved this story!!

I found this book to be simply delightful. The storyline was fun, cute, sweet and offered up plenty of emotion. I really liked the main characters, Callie and Graham and the secondary characters, Robert & Amelia. A great shorter length read that combines historical romance with a sprinkling of the magic of Christmas. This is my frank, freely posted review.
Mischief and Mistletoe is a fun, flirty read. Calisto Middleton, “Callie”, is determined to play matchmaker with her mother, Viscountess Danby, and her neighbor, the Earl of Deerwood while at his Christmas house party. There is only one problem and that is Graham George Wynter, the Viscount Sherbrooke. Graham is determined to thwart Callie’s machinations. The banter between the two of them is witty. Stacy Reaid did an outstanding job on the characterization and personification of these characters, they just jump off the page. While the steam level is hot, it is not the driving force behind the story. This is definitely a great story for an evening in. I read it in one sitting. You just can’t put it down once you start it.
They are at odds.
I liked this quick historical novella.
Callisto and Graham are at odds over their prospective parents happiness. She’s mischievous, he’s a rake.
I absolutely adored Callie’s character, she’s so full of joy, you can’t help but smile at her ways! Callie is determined to play matchmaker between her mother and the Earl of Deerwood and when they are invited to the Earl’s Christmas house party, she puts her plan in action and included is mistletoe….lots of mistletoe:) What she doesn’t expect is for the Earl’s son, Graham, to overhear her plans and try to put a stop to them!! I loved their banter and how some of her plans backfire!
I also enjoyed reading the story behind mistletoe, never knew that before!!
A truly delightful story as only Stacy Reid can write!! I was given an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Callisto Middleton her sister & mother Amelia Middleton Viscountess of Danby have been invited to a house party at the estate of their neighbour Robert Wynter the Earl of Deerwood. Robert & Amelia are both widowed & are attracted to each other, Callie plans to help their romance along! However Deerwood’s son Graham, Viscount Sherbrooke realises what Callie’s about & he intends to stop the mischief. I loved this romance of the son & daughter interfering in their parents romance & falling for each other. Their banter is entertaining & their attraction sizzles. Another lovely novella that I read in a sitting, I first read it in the Once upon a Christmas Wedding but it has been updated & added to
This is a delightful historical romance that blends matchmaking and a stepbrother trope into a charming love story. Graham doesn’t mind helping his widowed father, the Earl of Deerwood, connect with the beautiful widow next door, while her daughter, Callie, is also wanting to help her mother make the most of the Earl’s house party to see if there’s anything between her mom and the Earl.
The trouble starts when Graham and Callie meet, and realize that they, too, are a perfect match. Despite the fact that they are soon to be step-siblings. I loved this short little romance with very well-developed characters and just enough steam. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Starring Miss Callisto “Callie” Middleton and Graham Wynter, Viscount
Sherbrooke.
This book is truly filled with mischief, and mayhem, and kissing and dancing underneath the mistletoe. Sensual level: wowza hoooooot!! I actually said “uh oh” when I got to the twist… but glad they worked it all out coz I was biting my nails the whole time. Was truly a wonderful story. I always expect to feel all the feels with a Stacy Reid book… and this did not disappoint.
I bought and read this as part of the Once Upon a Christmas Wedding Anthology.
My star rating: 4 stars
Story was great. Loved the characters. Storyline kept me entertained… but did not make me cry.
In the Christmas season, Miss Callisto (“Callie”) Middleton is determined to play matchmaker for her mother. Instead, the Earl of Deerwood’s son, Graham George Wynter, Viscount Sherbrooke, trying to interfere with the meddling, meets the irresistible Callie. Callie has such a happy outlook on life that she draws him to her. Her interactions with Graham are charming. And the mistletoe works its lovely magic!
The story line is strong and the characters are well-presented, feeling both realistic and believable. This story will definitely put the reader in the Christmas spirit!
What a heartwarming holiday romance that left you happy & smiling & wanting to celebrate Christmas (and mistletoe, of course).
Callie had a first season but it was cut short when her father passed away & after the mourning period & having to give up their house for their cousin & new heir; there wasn’t funds for another season. Now Callie has set her mind to help match her mother toward an earl her mother has shown feelings toward. Her mother, sister & Callie receive an invitation to a house party at Christmastime to Robert Wynter, Earl of Deerwood’s home & this will be Callie’s chance to help nature along & get her mother some happiness as the earl has shown interest in her mother over the last few months. However, the earl’s son, Graham Wynter, Viscount Sherbrooke, steps in & tries to stop Callie’s innocent matchmaking attempts. The fireworks explode between them.
Can Graham & Callie get past their differences? Will Callie’s mother, Amelia & Robert find their way to one another? I highly recommend this story & it will put you in the Christmas spirit!
