LeslieI have an incredible life. It’s exactly the way I’ve always wanted it. Even though I’m an Adamson, I’ve earned every bit of the life I have today.I’ve made sacrifices but regret nothing. Who needs love, kids and a white picket fence? Not me.That is until a fast-paced, charismatic, yet broken-beyond-belief racer starts screwing with my head and okay, maybe my heart, too.CashWe all have … too.
Cash
We all have demons. A past that haunts us. I’ve tried like hell to overcome mine and move forward.
And I’ve done pretty well for myself.
Now, when my past and present collide, I have to decide which direction to go.
I’ve always been one to go with my heart, but what happens when the ghost of my past and the key to my future both own a piece?

I love the Adamsons so much! I don’t know how Nicole does it, but each Adamson tale gets better and better. Cash, although not an Adamson, has been one of my favorite jerks to love! Leslie has proven to be a “take no shit” character from the beginning. These two hard headed characters mixed together makes an amazing story to read!
Leslie and Cash, stubborn, set in their ways and probably the most hard headed of them all. Cash’ s back story explains why he is the way he is and it will make you fall even more in love with his character. Leslie, she’s an Adamson, so she’s no stranger to all kinds of levels of messed up! But you get to know her on a much more personal level. For me, it made me love her that much more.
In my opinion, this is now my favorite in the Adamson series. You can read it as a stand alone, but do yourself a favor and read it from the beginning, you’ll get so much more out of this book if you do. Oh and Nicole has completely upped the level of heat and steam with this book. But, it’s Cash and Leslie, so…that shouldn’t come as a surprise!
I loved EVERYTHING about this book! The emotions were raw and real. Leslie and Cash are one of those couples that just seem to get it … Understand each other. And willing to let go if that’s what is best. There were some very real and difficult subjects addressed in this book. I started it on Friday morning and finished Friday night… At midnight . I stayed up to finish because I didn’t want to put it down!
I was counting down the days and bugging Nicole by the minute for this book and it did not disappoint. I love Cash SO much! The things this man has lived through and conquered… wow! And the way that Nicole was able to write it all was amazing! Read this book now!
This was another amazing read by Nicole! I love the way she writes & you get to hear about all your other favorite characters from the other books.
Leslie & Cash…..damn
Addiction, loss, heartache & love was abundant in this book. These two are very strong independent people on their on so of course their amazing together.
Incredible read! Love, love Nicole’s books.
Thanks again!!
OK, you wanted my tears you got them.
This book was a hard one to for me to get through. The dynamic between Cash and Beth was a hard for me to read. Nicole Dykes did an amazing job at representing how an addiction can affect more than just the addict. Sometimes, it is those that are left behind that have a hard time.
Cash and Leslie’s story came with many challenges.
Leslie Adamson is this independent bad ass woman who needs nor wants any many, she will never let her heart go down that road.
Cash Phillips is a mentally scared recovering addict, who can never love anyone with his whole heart ever again.
You never know where your heart will lead you.
Ultimately, this book was an amazing read. The characters building and feeling behind each makes you feel like you have known them your whole life. However, I did find the ending predictable. I had the ending figured out by the time I was 75% through the book.
Overall, read this book. You will not be disappointed.
Every time I read one of her books I think it can’t get any better but cash maybe one of my favorite characters ever! His major appearance in Dani and Micheals was a preview and I fell in love with him. I mean a Texas boy with broken past but a mushy inside. This book just reinforce all my feels for him! I don’t think that Nicole could have picked a better girl for him then the ball busting Adamson queen bee! Seriously my heart broke for them and all the crap. But I loved the development of this entire story line and just all the freaking feels!
The fourth installment in the Adamson Family Series marks the story of Leslie and Cash. This is by far my favorite of the series. Leslie is my soul sister, well her attitude is… not so much the outlook on love.
Leslie is the oldest girl in the Adamson clan and has created a career in one that is mostly dominated by men. She lives by her own rules and scares her brothers. She knows just what she wants and she takes it.
Cash is a racer who is plagued by a dark past that keeps coming back to haunt him. His story seriously had me ugly crying into a ball of tissues while my husband kept asking me if I was okay. It seriously had me feeling EVERY SINGLE emotion possible and I still tear up thinking about what he went through.
Leslie and Cash have an arrangement – they have rules. Their arrangement fits both of their agendas because neither of them want any attachments. It works for them because they are both focused on their careers. When Cash’s past comes back into his life, his world is turned upside down and his only solace is Leslie. In an attempt to stay sober, he uses Leslie to fill the void that he usually fills with alcohol or drugs.
When their arrangement starts causing feelings to stir up, neither of them are sure what to do. Leslie knows she wants her career first and foremost, but is also jealous of what her brothers have found. Cash’s past prevents him from wanting to dive too deep into his feelings about Leslie but when is past finally lets him go, he realizes that he is in fact in love with Leslie.
These two will make your Kindle melt, so make sure to grab a fan and an ice cold glass of water, because the heat coming from them is undeniable. Their arrangement starts falling apart as they dive deeper into the world of being together and I just love them together. Leslie is perfect for Cash in a way that is unmatched by anyone else. And Cash is perfect for Leslie as well.
These two are my favorite Adamson couple and I can’t wait for you to read it!
Wow. This one is definitely my favourite of an already really great series. The fact that it shows bow addiction is not a mention once or twice and thats it part of a book but shows the moments of weakness and temptation. Shows the determination to remain on the right path and the help support groups and a friends/family support system gives really adds a depth to the book.
Leslie is likable as she is a take no prisoners woman on a mission to reach the peak of her career. Her romance with Cash was supposed to be a quick fix to scratch an itch when thet needed to. Eventually though those pesky feelings sneaked it.
Cash has such strength to carry on and be the man he is given what he has been through. Definitely a great read
I am totally coming into this series on book 4 and shame on me for taking so long! This book was so good!!! I love Leslie. She is smart, tough, independent and isn’t afraid to go after what she wants. And Cash! I just wanted to hug him through the whole book. I don’t think I’ve cheered so hard for two people to get out of their own way and look at what is in front of them. I will most definitely be going back and reading the other books in the series. So freaking good!!!!
This story was absolutely amazing and it literally sucked me in from the start. Another amazing book by Nicole Dykes! I love the Monroe’s and Adamson’s Family Books!!! The story between Leslie and Cash is a very emotional rollercoaster. They have their own lives that are very troubling and difficult on their own, but together they are able to battle anything together. I highly recommend reading this story along with the rest of the books in both series.
I have been dying for Cash’s story and Misbehaved was everything I could have hoped for and more. He more than meets his match in the smart-mouthed and gorgeously independent Leslie, but even the fastest racers can’t outrun their past. These two are everything. Nicole Dykes writes worlds that you want to be a part of, and characters you want to be. If you haven’t started your Adamson adventure yet, get started NOW!
Wow! I knew these two would be explosive & boy was I right. These two have been through so much & to see their story come to life is something I couldn’t put down! Absolutely love it!!
Cash is this sexy “racer” who can pretty much get any girl that he wants. He’s been sober for years but still continues to attend AA meetings. By looking at Cash you would never know that he has his own demons that he deals with on a daily basis.
Whenever Leslie is around they always seem to find each other and “hook up”. There’s never any kind of cuddling or questions asked. This is just the way it’s been for years and seems to work out for both of them.
When a part of the past resurfaces Cash does what he thinks is the best and tries to help make things better.
My emotions are all over the place but I still continue to keep reading. Maybe I’m just a glutton for punishment! You will have surprises throughout this book! So be prepared for a “bumpy” ride and dig into this book!!! You will not be disappointed!
Nicole Dykes you did it again! You brought the love, passion and feelings out all at once. This is a must read you will not be disappointed at all! You will fall in love with the family and friends. It’s a stand-alone but ties in the whole clan wonderfully! Love it!
It seems with every book in the series the newest book always becomes my favorite. There is no exception at all with Misbehaved it’s making me ready for the next book. I will be sad when the series ends.
So I have been trying to figure out how to put into words how I feel about this book. It far exceeded any expectation I had. The main characters all have their inner struggles and hurdles to overcome. Despite being adults Cash, Leslie, and even Beth all have a lot of growing to do in order to figure out how to move forward in this thing called life.
Nicole told this story so well that I truly felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster. I honestly wasn’t sure how this book was going to end!
Nicole really has a way of making you devoted to her characters. I met Cash Phillips in Michael’s book, and we meet Leslie briefly in Chris Adamson’s book. Both characters are emotionally scarred from their pasts. I loved their chemistry as they both deny their feelings, yet come back to one another again and again. I really enjoyed the way the author looks backwards to help me understand where each of the main character’s are coming from. Loved watching the scorching hot romps turn into romance. Great read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is book 4 in the Adamson family. It can be read as a standalone but you are missing out if you haven’t read these Adamson’s and Monroe’s.
Leslie is a ball buster who doesn’t put up with any crap. She is all about her career and doesn’t have time for a relationship. Which is why her and Cash’s agreement has worked out for years.
Cash had is chance at the family life and it all went to crap. Now he wants no part of it. Except she keeps coming back and tearing his whole world upside down and leaving him wanting to drown in a bottle.
Cash’s story is so heart breaking. I’m so glad he found Leslie and was finally able to get his HEA ending. I hope we get Beth’s story. She deserves her own HEA
Leslie and Cash are awe-inspiring! There story unfolds over several years and it is just beautiful!
Leslie is a career driven woman trying to make it in a mans world. She will stop at nothing to get where she wants to be. Living in the shadow of her race car driver of a father she is determined to make a name for herself.
Cash’s only goal in life is to make it out of the slums and become one of the best racers out there. He isn’t letting the demons he hides get in the way.
Leslie and Cash relationship unfolds over several years. They built a beautiful friendship and have an understanding and rules that can’t be crossed. When Cash’s past comes crashing into his present Leslie is there to be by his side. She is also faced with the reality of their relationship.
This story is jam packed with all the feels. You get to see how this beautiful love story unfolds. This is my first book by Nicole and I will definitely be going back to the beginning.
Sometimes you can not save someone no matter how hard you try.
Misbehaved is the story of Cash and Leslie. When I first started reading this book I thought the story was going to take me to an entirely different place than it did but I was happy with the end. Cash has been through more than any person should have to suffer in his lifetime, continuously trying to save the love of his life Beth from destroying herself. Their tragic past plays a part in the decisions Cash makes in life. The only shining light besides racing is his friends with benefits arrangement he has with Leslie. Leslie is strong, beautiful and has a great heart she is everything Cash needs but doesn’t realize. Through all his heartache and destruction Leslie is his constant, his strength. This book made me cry and smile and fall in love with the possibility of love again. Drawn in from the moment I began to read it. This book contains difficult subjects such as abuse, addiction, codependence, heartbreak and loss. It is all handled so beautifully in Misbehaved.
