Everyone thinks they know Evie. She’s the sweet, innocent, quiet Adamson. She’s the good one. That couldn’t be more wrong. We’re all a little broken. We all have things we hide and that haunt us.When Evie’s secrets come out, we’ll all see just how wrong we were. Never assume you know someone.
Nicole Dykes has managed to beautifully play with my emotions. She achingly strums all the chords of our hearts with her painfully raw characters and blasts her readers with a cacophony of emotions we don’t see coming. The result is a stunning story of learning to accept, love, and embrace one’s self no matter what everyone else thinks is best.
Misassumption gave me everything I thought I didn’t want from it and just like Evie, I learned it was exactly what I needed all along. Stunning, brave, passionate in the most unexpected ways, and beautifully and unapologetically real, Misassumption is by far Nicole Dykes’ most unexpected story and her best to date. This isn’t a book you TBR. You get it, you consume it, and then you let it consume you. Perfection.
“Nicole is the mastermind of mind games. Misassumptions is seriously so addictive, you need to partake like an addict reading this story!”
“Misassumption, something that is incorrectly assumed to be granted or true.”
This is by far the best story Nicole has delivered! Eve is my favorite character from any author. Ever. To me, her issues with anxiety are so relatable. I have suffered for years hiding under a cloak of farce. To put on a smiling face when all you want to do is stay home, and hide. Nicole nailed the emotions of anxiety.
Ty and Tate. Oh how much I loved them both! I wanted the right man, who truly deserved Eve to have her. And of course Nicole style, she delivered some serious emotional drama with those men.
I’m once again just so emotionally raw to give a “standard review”. That being said, Nicole has always given us amazing stories. You’ve read the blurb, so this is just my opinion of one beautiful, insanely talented authors.
Nicole, you completely wreck my emotions in such a heartbreaking beautiful way, and rebuild them piece by piece. Well done!
