It was entertaining and a good happily ever after story

AGAIN I find myself telling you what a great series this has turned out to be. Every book has been short, sweet and on-point. Not too much of this or too much of that. Just great storytelling!

I really loved Piper and Jackson. I loved how they met. I loved the aftermath. I loved their progression. I even loved how it all wrapped up. It’s a short story and normally those tend to lack in depth, but this did not. Both Jackson and Piper were well thought out characters and their baggage was incorporated into the story nicely. I had a huge smile on my face the whole time I read this story and I know you will too! I haven’t read enough books by this author to say she’s a #oneclick for me, but what I have read has always been on-point. So go forth and enjoy another excellent addition to The Misadventures series!

Paige and Jackson are two people never unhappy to come in to the office Paige needed a fresh start after her crash and burn relationship. But upping stakes from Chicago to NYC where she doesn’t know a soul is leaving her as more of a homebody rather a healed one. When her sister lovingly bullies her into signing up for a find a friend or something fun type app, she expected more Silence of Lambs not You’ve Got Mail. Her sister’s first hookup for her is a homerun in the handsome, charming, and sexy Jackson. A night of fun, frivolity, and fooling around with him was a delicious way to be introduced to a new city. She just never thought for one second that this one-nighter would wind up being her boss at her new job. Jackson is a busy powerful man with a penchant for being to hard on his secretaries and fair but equitable CEO. But like all men his urges sometimes must be seen to and for that he has always been a one and done type of guy to keep everything easy. When Paige absolutely rocks his world and leaves him spinning he wishes he could have another taste. He never expected that wish to be granted by his head of HR when Paige shows up ready to be an office fantasy come to real life. He comes up with a quid pro quo so that he gets both his office life managed and his personal itch scratched. But in mixing business with pleasure they are going to find themselves breaking all their rules for their undeniable passions.

This was a sexy, fun read by Kendall Ryan. I have read all the Misadventures books and this one did not disappoint. Piper moves from Chicago to NYC to start over after a break up. On day 3 in her new city Piper’s sister thinks she needs to be out meeting people so signs her up on a dating app for making friends and casual hook ups. Almost immediately she has a date with a mystery man. Her sister tells her when and where but no details about the man she is meeting except he is hot! Piper is not the girl who has casual flings but something about Jackson entices her. The hottest sex of her life and she walks away when it is over without exchanging last names or phone numbers. A few days later when she starts her new job imagine her surprise to find that her new boss is none other than Jackson. After an awkward start the 2 decide they are adults and will try working together. Jackson has every intention of moving her somewhere else in the company as soon as a new Executive Assistant can be hired. He quickly realizes she is the best assistant he has ever had. The story goes through the building of their relationship and lets you meet the characters.

This story is an easy read. Has some twists you aren’t expecting to take you to your Happily Ever After. Love that Piper is a strong, independent woman who isn’t afraid to tell Jackson how it is, at least most of the time. I will definately be looking for more by this author and recommend this book.

This book has two of some of my favorite things 1. a Misadventures series book and 2. a book by Kendall Ryan. I have yet to be disappointed by either of these things and this was no exception. This book was quick but it was lacking in no way what so ever. I couldn’t put this book down and Piper and Dane’s story had me completely engrossed from the beginning. Who doesn’t love themselves a office romance with a bunch of dirty talking and seeing their hearts get involved? I for one am a sucker for just this combination.

Neither of these characters were looking for love. They just wanted some fun but the heart wants what the heart wants and sometimes we can’t control the time, place or who when it happens. Nothing like the reveal of her blind date on her first day work. I just ate it up and enjoyed the ride.

I highly recommend this installment of the series and in fact the whole series. They have all been winners.

This is the second book in the Misadventures Series and so far have been truly standalone books. (I know there are more out there, just haven’t had the time.) I’ve read a few of Ms Ryan’s books, and I’ve enjoyed each.

Piper is new to the city, but hasn’t really gotten out of her apartment. I absolutely loved the opening line “My Netfilx account was judging me.” I know I’ve thought the same thing binge watching. But Piper’s sister isn’t going to let her keep it up. After creating a profile on a dating site, Hailey sets Piper up on a date. Enter Jackson, the incredibly hot one night stand. Fast forward a bit to the first day of her new job, Jackson is her new boss. Loved these two from the beginning. Piper is an organized sweetheart. Jackson is a dreamy alpha, but totally upfront he’s not after a relationship. As you can possibly imagine, trying to be just coworkers after their one night poses a challenge. The dynamics between Piper and Jackson are steamy and very entertaining.

What a great read!! I wanted to finish it sooner but darn work lol.

Dane and Piper were great together. They have a hot instant connection. What they thought would be a one time thing turns out to be complicated.

This was a great Misadventures story. I look forward to the next one.

A short, sexy and sweet read that’ll leave you gasping and begging for more…

Gaaaaaaah! I am still so excited about this book, even after a good week after reading it I am still in Jackson Dane land. So, the Misadventures series had become a holy grail to me. Every single book is novella length and so very quick and easy to read that once you finish one you just want to get started on the next. It’s a good thing that they’re all spread apart, otherwise I’d become even more of a hermit.

Although some of the books in the series are co-written with Meredith Wild, Misadventures with the Boss is solely written by Kendall Ryan. I am so glad that she got involved with this series because her writing style and her humorous plots fit so perfectly with light romantic comedy feel of the series as a whole.

I don’t think I’m saying anything bad when I say that the plot itself isn’t the most original. But, come on, there are only so many scenarios you can have with the whole office romance/billionaire boss trope. In fact, I’m actually really chuffed that she went with such an overdone plot line because it allowed her easy and gripping writing to really shine. I also feel that her sense of humour and the way in which she really gets into the hero’s mind and in his character adds a whole new level of brilliant to the story. Ms. Ryan really is one of those authors you can count on to deliver again and again. There wasn’t any unnecessary and over the top drama, but at the same time the banter and the pull between the characters—their chemistry—was enough to have me flipping those pages quicker than Piper reached the big O. Jesus, either she is an orgasm machine or Jackson has a magnificent D. Maybe it’s a combination of both…

I really loved both Piper and Jackson. I loved that although he is a bit of a playboy, or a lot of a playboy, and although he has unrealistic expectations of people at times, he still has this gentlemanly and caring grace about him. If that makes sense? I like that he is straightforward and that he says what he means and means what he says, even if sometimes it does make him come across as a bit of a pig. But, I looooooooooove a good douchebag hero that has a soft side to him and he is just that. Man, he is almost too perfect. Too good to be true. I also found that Piper’s introverted personality made her the perfect balance for Jackson’s star. Again, she also has this brazen hussy side that he brings out in her and that opens her up…and not just in a sexy either.

I really, really loved this book. It was exactly what the doctor order to fight off this horrible flu. I’m pretty sure I’ve seated most of it out during this read. This is just one of those books that’ll have you gasping and begging for more. And when it ends you won’t know what to do with yourself because you can’t helped but be suckered into Piper and Jackson’s world.

The most enjoyable story I have read in a while. When I first started I thought this was the typical CEO manwhore. But Jackson is so much more. He owns his company and cares about his employees. He is caring and sexy. When he first meets Piper he is only interested in the one night. His company is his baby. He doesn’t have time for a relationship. But when she turns up at his office as his new assistant he can’t stop thinking about her and their night together. He needs more with her. Something he never experienced before. Kendall Ryan makes you fall in love with Jackson even from the first page. The relationship both professional and personal was written in such a way you couldn’t not want them to be together. It was done with respect and yes lots of sex but you were glued to each page. I could not put this story down. So excited with what would happen next. From their “first” date to the museum you get a clue of who and what makes Jackson the man he is. He truly met his match when he met Piper. After all she lasted longer than any assistant he had. She herself was super organized and helped Jackson with his company. She became something he never knew he needed but realized that he could not get along without her.

I knew this story would be a 5 star read because of the author but was pleasantly surprised that it was so much more.
