Misadventures is a romantic series of spicy standalone novels, each written or co-written by some of the best names in romance. The stories are scandalous, refreshing, and, of course, incredibly sexy. They’re the perfect bedside read, a ‘quick blush’ for the reader who loves a page-turning romance.

Brooks Carter and Faith Ridley
Brooks, as a young child, found his love for racing when his mother’s boyfriend would take him to the racetrack. As he grew older, his love for racing never left his mind or heart. His goal, to become a professional racecar driver. That bucket list goal finally comes, when he is recruited by Ridley Racing.
Not only does his dream come true, but now temptation is mixed in, when he meets Faith, his new bosses daughter.
Faith, tasked with the job of showing Brooks around and telling him all about Ridley Racing. Yeah, she does all that, but there is a strong pull between the two, that neither can deny. Sparks fly, sparks that could start a fire that could destroy the dream that Brooks has for his life. Can Brooks and Faith survive this fire and get their HEA?
Will there be another book to follow up with?
Charlie Bliss done a phenomenal job once again. Well done!
I have read and loved quite a few of these Misadventures books and this book was no exception! I was in love with this book, so much so, I read it within hours because I was so enamored with Brooks and Faith’s story. Brooks is a sexy, gorgeous race car driver hired to join Ridley Racing which is Faith’s family team. Faith is a beautiful, fiesty woman who definitely catches the eye of Brooks Carter. What happens when two people who shouldn’t be involved just can’t keep their hands off each other? I guess you’ll have to read and find out!
Another great misadventure book. Chelle Bliss has written another 5 star book. The characters she creates are unbelievable. Brooks Carter and Faith Ridley are in my top 5 Bliss couples. Brooks is a stock, car driver starting out on the professional circuit and Faith is the bosses little girl. The chemistry between Faith and Brooks is immediate. They are hawt and steamy together. The combination of Faith’s family add to the humor and fast paced (pun intended) read. I can’t wait to see if Chelle writes more about the Ridley family – Roscoe, Faith’s older brother and Brook’s rival on the racetrack, deserves his own HEA.
I’m a bit saddened. I’m a huge fan of Chelle Bliss and of the Misadventures series, but this book seemed to fall short for me. It took me too long to read (my usual is a day) and even then I had to force myself to keep going.
My initial thought was that it seemed familiar. Either to another book or something I’ve seen on TV or in a movie. Not the whole story, but part of the premise.
Then Faith and Brook gave into their ‘insta-connection’ way too soon for me. I still hadn’t connected with either of them and so I wasn’t sure how I even felt about it. Now, I’m all for the ‘insta-love’ story line but there still felt like a gap in the character development that just left me wanting.
Even after the big act, Faith became so needy and almost on the verge of immature about it that just grated on my nerves.
I love me some Misadventures, fast cars and fast love…but this book didn’t cut it for me and I’m deeply saddened by it. I was really looking forward to loving every bit of it.
Amazing and hot book!!!! Sad and happy rolled into one. Must read to find out what I mean. Astonishing and thrilling book!!! Could be a series!!!! Hope so!!!
WOW!! Another Great Misadventure! I am a great race car fan. I could not wait for this book to come out Chelle!! You are an Amazing Author!!! Loved the bad boy rookie driver Brooks Carter! All the characters in this story all get along for most part. Beau Ridley swoops Brooks right off the dirt tracks & to his winning team,Ridley Racing!!! Along side with his son. Both driver’s are winner’s. Faith Ridley (Beau’s only daughter) gets to know Brooks pretty well in more ways than one.. Both have feelings for one another & not sure where to go next. Hot steamy sex, romance, racing & great family dynamics!!(Ridley family) A must Read!! Hated for it to end. Wanted more! Well done Chelle Bliss!!!!

So good!
Brooks will steal your heart from the beginning. He is such a hard worker, a charmer and an overall swoon worthy man. And although sometimes you want to kick some sense into him you can’t help but love him all together. The same thing happens with Faith, she is such a strong woman but even she has some weak moments.
The chemistry between them is there since moment one, they ignite the pages, sparks fly and the steam chart goes over the limit, as the speed does.
Fun, spicy and swoony.
Let me start off by saying I really liked the idea of this book, I liked the cover. I love the Misadventure series. But this book just wasn’t hitting the spot for me.
Faith was a snot and I couldn’t stand when her parts of the story came up. She jumped right on the “new boy” Brooks.
Brooks had a rough up bringing while Faith had it all with Daddy’s riches. Yeah one of them stories. I almost DNF this book but I hardly ever do that. I really wanted to like this story but it just wasn’t doing it for me.

Fast moving story! It’s an easy to read, easy to love book. I loved all the characters, Brooks and Faith, Mr and Mrs Ridley, and even Roscoe. So much fun to read.
Misadventures with a Speed Demon is sort of mixed bag for me – I was sucked in by the prologue, it lost me a bit after that, but then I was all in. This is a case where I liked the hero much better than the heroine: Brooks is just a more sympathetic character, plus I feel like we got to know him a lot more than Faith and because of that she comes off as a bit spoiled and entitled. I love that he was the first to see that he wanted their relationship to be more than a fling and that he did not back down from that. I also really loved Faith’s family and how they truly embraced Brooks. He was the best part of the book. While the chemistry between the two of them was palpable, I think we could’ve used more development of their actual relationship and emotions towards each other so that it didn’t come off as so insta-lovey. I did enjoy the ending and I also appreciated the brevity of the book – it was quick, cute, and entertaining. 3.5 out of 5 wine glasses.
It’s fun, sexy and entertaining quick read. I enjoyed the storyline that left my heart racing as I sped through the pages. I loved the connection and chemistry between the characters is sizzling and steamy. It’s entertaining read.
Misadventures With a Speed Demon was a sweet instalust/instalove book that went about it in a way that the author told you up front how much they didn’t believe in instant love until it happens. It was uplifting to see a kid that came up with nothing, thought was nothing, had an alcoholic mother who treated him like nothing, yet he found a family through the sport that had gotten him through his tumultuous life. Brooks is a well-rounded lovable character and I’d love to meet a real life version of him. Roscoe and Faith Ridley had it all growing up. Money, name, the best of everything. But luckily she did not take on the persona of having it all. She believed in hard work and making a name for herself without taking it for granted. She and Brooks are there perfect couple even when they were struggling to deny what was there between them. Even though Brooks lifelong dream was to race, he would easily give it up for a lifetime of love and a family of his own.
I’m so excited for more Misadventure books. This series is all standalone books by talented authors that are immensely enjoyable.
Brooks is a stock car driver. He’s young, handsome and all about risks. Everyone wants to see him fail, but he’s too determined to let that happen. He has a large fan base, but only has eyes for Faith. Problem is Faith is the little sister of his biggest rival. Having grown up around the stock car scene, Faith knows Brooks type. Men like him are all about speed and action, moving through one woman after the next. She plans to stay far away but then one lapse in judgement leads to a complicated, hot and heavy affair. Soon Faith is caught between Brooks and her brother. She should cut her loses and get out but Brooks is way too invested to let her loose without a fight.
I love books about fast cars and Brooks was just the right kind of cocky to tick my male lead buttons. Once Brooks and Faith gave into their desires I was all in and rooting for them. This was a great return to the Misadventures series.
Loved this latest installment of the Misadventures series.
Brooks had a hard childhood that he has overcome. He lands with a new race team and Faith knocks him over.
Faith feels an instant attraction that leaves her tongue tied. She should not want the new race car driver.
Their pull and relationship is great. They have a sweet sexy side that leaves you wanting more. The other characters in the story were just what the story needed. I’d love to see Roscoe in a story.
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Faith Ridley belongs to a family that lives and breathes the need for speed. Brooks Carter also lives for speed. When these two first meet you can feel the sparks. If you’re one that likes/loves to watch auto racing, whether in person or on TV, this will feed into your need for speed.
Even though I like to read a book at a leisurely pace, this story had its own ideas. I grew up watching all the NASCAR races – it was a family thing. We used to have a local track and when my parents were dating that was one of their things. This brings a little extra to my reading experience. I get to be a spectator in more ways than one.
Our author makes my love of reading very easy. She has created a book that would fit very easily into the auto world. I could picture a Ridley dynasty fitting right along with the Force family – even though they are NHRA. I don’t think I would go to a racetrack in order to set the mood because the noise would be too much – although it would give you some idea of what these characters do. You could turn on a race as you read – over the years this became a father/daughter thing so I’ve recently stopped watching. But that doesn’t mean that I can’t picture what these characters experience. It was interesting to watch all the twists and turns that lead to my happy ending.
If you’re like me and haven’t read a Misadventures book before, this is the perfect introduction. And knowing their standalones means I can read them in any order. Now my problem becomes which one to read next. I have read several of this authors work before and I can’t wait to read more. But in the meantime I can enjoy this one and see myself reading this book again either in February or maybe in November – based on the NASCAR schedule.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own
I enjoyed reading Misadventures with a Speed Demon. The story is fast paced, light, instant love, racing, and family business. The characters were great. From the moment the met sparks flew between Brooks and Faith.
I LOVED This book hard! I feel like Chelle too a different approach on her hero in this book than she has in her other. Her other book have the LEGIT definition of alpha male where Brooks, even though still an alpha, was more in tune with his inner feelings (and I do not mean this in a girly way). Chelle really nailed Brooks’ character and I completely fell for him on page one!
I loved Faith! She didn’t ride on the shirt tails of her family business to make it far but she earned it. She went to college to make sure she could run it. She’s close to her brother, who hates that Brooks is on their team. I love how she placated her brother when he would throw his fits.
This was an awesome, quick read that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. If you love Chelle’s other work than I guarantee you’ll love this!
5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review
I loved everything about this story. I loved it from start to finish. Chelle Bliss is a go to author for me, so I was super excited to read this book. Plus, it’s about racing. Side note, I’m a race junkie. Growing up in Indiana, racing was ingrained in my at a young age. Anyway, back to this book, I loved it.
Brooks grew up with nothing, but he had the track. He had pure natural talent. I loved him from the start. I love they man he is and what he has overcome. Faith had it all growing up, but that didn’t mean she didn’t work hard. I loved her spirit. I loved her drive. These two had amazing chemistry.
This book was everything I hoped for and so much more. Please check it out.
This was such a fast, fun read and I wish it didn’t end. I loved Faith and Brooks! Chelle did such a fantastic job of telling their story. Faith is the daughter of a racing legend, but that’s not all she is. She’s smart, is involved with the business and has a take no crap attitude. Brooks comes from nothing, but is so determined to make it in the racing world, and he earns a coveted spot on the Ridley Racing team. The two have a connection from the beginning, one that is hot! This book sucks you in from the first page, and doesn’t let go until the last.
Brooks had a horrible upbringing, struggling and earning every single thing he’s gotten in life. Faith has had a fairy tail upbringing, her Dad being a famous race car driver. Despite their differences, Brooks had a little Faith and the rest they say is history!
Chelle never disappoints!
