I’m really not sure I can find the words to describe how this book made me feel, I love the Misadventures set of books but this is by the far the best I have read so far, I was left with one of the biggest book hangovers I have had this year and I really didn’t want this story to end.
Lincoln and Vera are the best their story is everything you want in a book, I loved them, I loved the kids, I loved their story and I need more from this family. This book will take you through every emotion you will laugh you will shed a tear and at times you will want to throw your reading device at the wall but in the end you will love this must read love story. Lincoln is the man every woman wants in her life he is kind, caring, he loves kids and he loves Vera and he will do whatever is needed to show her what a wonderful woman and mother she is. Vera is a beautiful strong woman but she has a few insecurities that her ex left her with can Lincoln make her see how amazing she really is…
This book was everything I expected and more and really hope my words will encourage you to one click this must read.
I think Salt N Pepa said it best: “What a man. What a man. What a mighty good man. ” Lincoln takes the unconventional route to success. He follows his heart. Sexy, sweet and sensitive are just the skills to make an impression on a brokenhearted mom and her rambunctious trio. It took Vera being in over her head to finally listen to her heart. Also lightens the mood with a sassy tale of love lost and found. Misadventures with a Manny is irresistible fun.

Okay who doesn’t love not only Toni Aleo, but this entire series? I’ll admit I haven’t read them all. Actually I’ve only read a couple but they are each standalones and they are each great; this is no exception.
Vera is a recently divorced mother of three just trying to keep things as normal as possible for her boys, although her douche of an ex makes it pretty hard. In walks in Lincoln, sex on stick with a heart of gold and a love of taking care of kids. Lincoln is the ultimate “manny” doing everything from homework and homeschooling to cooking and cleaning. Did I mention his abs??? Super hot guy just looking for the right woman. HEA, dream man, off the charts sex… Misadventures with a Manny checks all the boxes you want in a great and easy romance. I want a Manny! I mean, I don’t have any kids, but I still want a manny. Well, this manny anyways!
I was hooked on Misadventures With A Manny from go to woah. And I mean woah, Lincoln!
I liked that this wasn’t the typical workaholic single dad needs a nanny – we get the flip with a workaholic single mum needing a manny!
I love the push/pull between Vera and Lincoln. I mean, there is sexual tension through the roof with this pair, and it was just a matter of time before things became more.
I mean, I wanted to push them into the bedroom so they would get it on!
Their relationship is complicated, sweet and tender. It was a lot of we couldn’t, we shouldn’t. We can’t. But they did it was wonderful.
Vera’s boys are just amazing. And Lincoln really is a kid whisperer.
I love that Vera isn’t some weak woman. She is strong, she is dedicated to her family, she doesn’t take her exes sh!t (and believe me, right from the start there is plenty of cow poo delivered!). She is fighter.
This book just had me smiling the whole time I was reading it (well, except when I wanted to slap her ex with my kindle).
I haven’t read many of the Misadventures books, and I know I should go back and read more of them in the future.
I can’t wait to see what Ms Aleo brings us next.
I loved Misadventures With A Manny and the twist it takes with the traditional role models that men and women play when raising a family. It turns the assumption that most of us have, that the man should be the bread winner of the family and that women can do a better job of taking care of children than a man on its head!!
Linc and Vera have never held those traditional roles which mean when their world collide they will fit perfectly together!
Linc loves taking care of kids for other families as their manny and he is a natural at it.
Vera has been the career minded women who works hard and juggles her family too. She just married the wrong guy and he is putting her through the ringer. Now divorced, she has been trying to find a nanny to take care of her boys, so when Linc is available to work for her she has her feet swept out from under her. Not only is he great with her boys, he is perfect for her too!!
This title says everything. Vera Wood is a woman who has had life thrown at her in the hardest kind of way. But she shows everyone that she can be a strong Mom who will always be the kind of Mom that they need and she shows her family that she knows what she needs in her own life to make herself happy.
Lincoln Scott is a man who has a great life, a great family, great friends and an even better job but when life throws you a curve ball you pick yourself up and move on.
Vera needs help and Lincoln is just the man for the job. A Manny that will help not only help Vera but also her children. Vera is a strong woman but when she meets Lincoln the chemistry is incredible and as you watch it unfold you can’t help cheer them on to find that right balance in letting them explore it together and keeping him not only in her life but the lives of her three Fantastic boys who have struggled. Lincoln is not only a great match for Vera but he’s the perfect match for her family.
I loved this latest Misadventure!! It’s a short and sweet story complete with some great feels. Vera is a strong and incredible recently divorced single mom trying to do the best she can for her 3 boys. Her ex is a certifiable jerk! He made me so mad! All I can say is karma baby!
The boys have been hellions lately and she has been going through nannies as fast as you can lock a door. She works a lot to make sure her boys lives don’t take a huge hit since the divorce, which means she is desperate for a new nanny. Enter the sexy manny, Lincoln. Lincoln is an amazing man who also happens to adore children. He loses his full time manny position around the same time Vera is fresh out of options. He is her brother-in-law’s friend and they are introduced and soon he agrees to come work for Vera. The boys take to him nicely since they had already met and liked him and soon they have all established a nice rhythm.
Lincoln and Vera had definitely not planned for the chemistry and crazy attraction they so clearly had from the first time they meet. They fight it for a good while so as to not screw up the dynamic in the house with the boys. Lincoln is amazing with her boys and so good to her as well resisting him gets more and more difficult. Soon they can’t fight it any longer and give in to their attraction. I love them together!! Can they find forever with each other as a family? Or will circumstances change and mess everything up for them?
