Straitlaced freshman Zooey Cartwright has arrived at UCLA determined to have a heck of a lot more fun in college than she did in high school. What’s the first item on Zooey’s agenda before classes start in two days? Losing her pesky V card. She’s definitely not looking for a boyfriend, so where can Zooey find the right guy to do the deed and move along without a backward glance? At a party thrown … thrown by a bunch of football players, of course. Enter Tyler Caldwell. A beast on the field and off, cocky as heck, and often wearing T-shirts with sayings like “God’s Gift to Womankind,” Tyler is most definitely not boyfriend material. After a make-out session with Tyler leaves Zooey entirely unsatisfied, she is determined never to see him again. But her schedule lands her in not one but two of his classes, and it doesn’t take long before Tyler and Zooey have reached an arrangement for Tyler to teach Zooey exactly what she wants to know – and a whole lot more she never bargained for. Can Zooey surrender her body to this bad boy without giving him her heart, too?

Amazing characters! So much fun! Witty! MUST READ!
I love the whole Misadventure series but this one ranks up there with one of my favorites. I instantly fell in love with Zooey and Tyler and couldn’t read fast enough. I was sad to come to the end because the two are my favorite HEA couple and know they will stay with me like old friends. I found myself cheering Tyler and Zooery one minute and holding my breath the next as they face each obstacle. I Highly recommend this book!
Misadventures of a College Girl was so much more than I expected. It was the perfect light, fun and full of feels read that I needed to get out of my slump. I absolutely loved Tyler Caldwell and Zooey Cartwright. They were written in the stars because they were so freaking perfect together.
Soooo I’m pretty sure I’m obsessed with Lauren Rowe. This is the second book I have read by her and I am in love. I loved everything about this book. It blows any other book I’ve read with a college setting out of the water. This book does not follow any of the cliches that come with a story set at a college, stars a football player, and a virgin. I loved Tyler so much. He was not the typical bad boy jock. While yes he was trying to get in Zooey’s pants when they first met, their whole first meeting is awkward, sexy, and absolutely hilarious. It was definitely one of my favorite scenes in the book.
As Tyler and Zooey try to keep their relationship just as friends as Tyler teachers her the art of sex, lines blur, and they find themselves wanting to spend all their time with each other. The sex is ohhh so hot and mindblowing. I loved the playlist’s that Tyler and Zooey created for all their special moments together. Even though yes, there is tons of hot sex in this book, Tyler and Zooey’s relationship was very cute and at times emotional. It was hard for Tyler to open up to Zooey and let her know what he was feeling, but it was clear that he was completely in love with her. There are tons of funny moments, like when Tyler invites Zooey to breakfast with his roommates/teammates, and reading about Tyler in action on the field. This book has it all.
I really loved this book and it is my second favorite of the misadventures books. Night Shift is still first obviously. Which is also written by this amazing woman. She does a killer job on the audio version as well. And hell yes! Lauren is a UCLA fan. I much appreciated all the team spirit and hating on USC. GO BRUINS!!!!!
A brilliantly funny, sexy and enthralling MUST READ sports romance…
I really loved this book. It was super easy for me to read, to the point that I had to double check that I was really done when I got to the end. This is a perfect addition to the Misadventures series and unlike some of the other books that are co-authored with Meredith Wild, Misadventures of a College Girl is solely written by Lauren Rowe. I’ve only read two other books from this author— Ball Peen Hammer and Misadventures on the Night Shift, again solely written by Ms. Rowe. Honestly? She wasn’t an author that was really on my radar until this series, but I’ve now found myself constantly checking when she has a new release coming. I don’t know, there’s something so light and fun about her writing but at the same time it has this beautiful emotional pull that lends really well to the light angst that her plots so cunningly possess.
Plot wise I found this book wildly entertaining. The story itself was vibrant and it had this spark that kept me absolutely glued to it. It has this really cheeky humour to it that had me real belly laughing. I liked that this was a sports romance, and I loved the dynamic that the popular guy falls for the nerdy girl gave it. It really reminded me of Sara Ney’s How To Date A Douchebag series. If you like those, you are guaranteed to LOVE this book. It is on the shorter side of things. Some would call it a short novel, I feel that it is more of a longer novella. Again, this just made it that more appealing for me. I didn’t feel like it was rushed or like parts were skipped over and were missing. It reads like a full length brilliantly written novel even though I finished it in under four hours!
The characters I felt were really likeable, if not loveable. There were times that I wanted to bang their heads together like cymbals, but I liked that. It made them age apropriate. I never felt like Tyler or Zooey were too grown up for the stage of their life they were at. I found them very real characters. I loved Tyler’s happy go lucky attitude and the way in which he was caring and kind without being suffocating. I even liked that his ego gave him this delectable arrogance that only served to make him sexier. If that even makes sense? For me, he was just sports romance hero perfection! Likewise, Zooey has that sass that should make her a bit awkward to get to know, but there’s this light and bubbliness about her that makes her so approachable and endearing. There’s something so brilliant about these two because they are so different on the surface, yet when you strip them of all the perceptions and expectations of their roles they are so similar. It’s really just incredible how Lauren Rowe has created these characters that represent the complete social oposites, yet when it comes to their feelings and emotions it really does feel like they are two halves of the same heart and soul.
All in all, I really hope there’s more to come from this author within the Misadventures series. Even if I didn’t enjoy any of the other authors, her boos would make me want to read the rest of the series. This was just one of those perfectly hot and humorous reads that you can’t sop thinking about. I loved it. Loved it. Loved. It. Period!
Misadventures of a College Girl
5 stars read!!!!!
“Please at least tell me you’re eighteen. If you’re jail bait, I swear to God I’m going to sob into my pillow tonight”
Oh My Gosh this book is a MUST read!!!! I was introduced to author Lauren Rowe last year when she wrote Misadventures of a Night Shift. And she is an AMAZING author I have every book she has written in my TBR list right now. Her characters are memorable and relatable. The feelings in this story are amazing and you can’t help but fall in love with the characters and with Lauren herself. I couldn’t put this book down and read it in about 3 ½ hours. Tyler has become my favorite book boyfriend and Zooey will always be in my heart as I feel she represents too many. And I probably laughed way to hard at the fact Tyler kept pulling her curly hair down to see it bounce up, but I understand as I have natural curly hair and my husband does this to me. I highly recommend you read this book!
LADIES! LADIES! LADIES! Listen to me please. This book, the characters, the feels, the banter, the heat, the laughs, the love, the heartbreak…the list goes on and on. You will get everything you didn’t realize you needed with Zooey and Tyler in this sexy romance.
Zooey is heading off to college and can’t wait to “start her life.” I truly adored her zest for life and sassy personality. She was naïve in many ways, but yet adventurous in a fun and flirty way. I remember what it felt like to be away from home for the first time, to have no adult supervision and finally be on your own. You felt ready to conquer the world. It’s an exciting new journey and Lauren captures the thrill of it all beautifully. I don’t know how she does it, but Lauren transports you into the story and you feel like you’re being reunited with your long-lost friends. And in this case, you’re back at college.
Tyler is just…WOW! This man-child is hot, sexy, swoony and funny as all get out. He’s the quintessential football player in the sense that he is a player, big time. However, he doesn’t make excuses for being a lady’s man and is honest about what he wants out of a relationship. What he wants out of a relationship is to NOT to have one! Sure, maybe that makes him cocky, but his drive and determination to do something big in his life is a real turn-on. Since we’re talking about turn-ons, rest assured his swoony, sexy talk will make you combust in the most delicious way. He’s smart and while he takes life seriously, he still manages to have fun.
Needless to say, when Zooey and Tyler get together there are fireworks, lots of chemistry and goofy smiles. It’s virtually impossible not to fall in the love with them both. They’re young and have so much life to live, so it goes without saying that some very adult-like decisions need to be made where their future is concerned. As much as my heart broke for them as they struggled to do the right thing, I admired how they always tried to put each other’s ambitions first.
Bottom line, this was a great read. Lauren’s writing is clever and witty, smart and fresh. She does not disappoint at all in this fun, hot and sexy romance. You will swoon, laugh and maybe shed a few tears. Despite that, I can guarantee you will be smiling like a fool by the time to get done with Zooey and Tyler’s journey!
Five incredible-sporting stars! Tyler is going to melt your heart and also he will ruin you for your next book boyfriends. The best Sports Romance I have read.
Dear Lord, please have mercy of this bookworm because Lauren Rowe has done it again! She delivered the most intense and heart-warming Sports Romance I have the pleasure to read. It was a sinful and thrilling experience. Misadventures of a College Girl is a must read with capital letters. This time Lauren gifted us a stunning story where two young souls will discover a deep feeling in college time. They will give a new meaning (and a new fate) to Romeo and Juliet’s love story.
I was captivated by the first pages of this masterpiece. This book made me feel a lot. I laughed and cried. It’s been a long time since I read a good sports romance like this. The plot is unique and well developed. The pace is fast and when you least expect it, you’ve finished the book. I was deeply immersed in the story. There is not cliché. This is not the typical story where the good girl fell for the douchebag of college. This is something more deep and intimate.
Who can resist a cocky football player who has the looks of Loki? (Brownie points for the reference of my antihero crush) Tyler Caldwell will break the stereotype of a football player. He is cocky and sexy as hell but he has a big and genuine heart. If perfect boys exits, they all be like Tyler Caldwell.
On the other hand we have a sassy and innocent heroine: Zooey. She is the good and pure girl who thanks to her efforts has managed to enter the university to fulfil her dreams. She is young and wants to experience everything that life has to offer to her. And she will do it. Tyler will make sure of it.
The attraction between Zooey and Tyler will strong and heavy. Just the thought of them together cause me goosebumps over my skin. Their fate is written in the stars. I will never see with the same eyes Romeo and Juliet’s love story because it will always remind me of Zooey and Tyler. Lauren Rowe is the only writer who could turn a douchebag into a Charming Prince. Her elegant and addictive writing is poetic and pure just as her wonderful characters.
Misadventures of a College Girl is a mind-blowing read you must not miss. I urge you to read it. You won’t be disappointed. Lauren never disappoints her readers. Believe it or not but she is a goodness-gifted writer. She is able to take you deep into the story from the first pages. Caution: this book is amazingly extraordinary. Be prepared for an insta-panty-melting. Tyler will ruin you in a sweet and devilish way. This book deserves more than five stars. I highly recommend you this book. Ce livre fera battre votre cœur rapidement. Les scènes de sexe sont chaudes et élégamment écrites. Je vous recommande fortement ce livre. Tout à propos de ce livre crie la perfection.
I can’t with this book! It was funny and witty, the dialogue between Zooey and Tyler was epic. I am seriously loving this author’s writing style. From start to finish this book was engaging and had me on the edge of my seat with what happens next. Honestly, the only issue I had with this book was the nickname that Tyler had for Zooey, it irked me, but at the same time it was unique to them and that over-rode my irkness. The story line was good and moved at a decent pace, I didn’t feel like anything was missing. I really loved this book!

STORY:
I found this cute and amusing, sprinkled with a little cheesy as it was just ok for me in the beginning. The scene where they first met at the college party and had that whole conversation in the bedroom was cute but produced an eye roll. However, I don’t know what happen along the way, but I found myself loving this story. It was ridiculous, cute, adorable, sweet, so funny and sexy (in a college way) all together. For me, it wasn’t so much Zooey, as much as I love her, but, Tyler. Seeing the way he starts falling for Zooey without trying to not look like he is falling for Zooey did it for me. Secretly, I think a lot of things where a first for Tyler as well haha.
CHEMISTRY:
As much as this book was funny, it’s still appealing sexually. Zooey’s reaction and eagerness to learn was extremely entertaining.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS
I love Zooey’s roommate and Dimitry. They actually brought appeal to story even though their roles aren’t that big.
Overall, I fell in love with both Zooey’s and Tyler’s relationship and story. I still think it’s a little cheesy but I can’t help liking this story.
***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful.

Misadventures of a College Girl by Lauren Rowe was the eighth book in the Misadventures series by various popular best selling romance authors. Although within the series, they each can be read as a stand-alone. This was my first book by Rowe.
Tyler Caldwell was a junior football star that was going Pro after this season. He was highly sought after by girls but he made it clear that he was too focused on football and that he would gladly give a night, but nothing beyond that.
Zooey Cartwright was a freshman at UCLA. Her mother died when she was two and she was raised in a small town by her single father. Although they were close, he was strict and she didn’t have many opportunities to date in high school. She was focused on school and wanted to lose her virginity before school started but wanted it without the entanglements of a boyfriend. Tyler was the perfect choice.
I enjoyed the beginning. It drew me in from the first page and kept me interested until the end. It was told from a singular POV, Zooey’s, and the plot progressed as expected. Additionally, I really liked both characters, they were humorous and Rowe created a fun plot. All in all, it was a quick and entertaining read.
Read from cover to cover in one day. Loved it!
I adored this. I’m chipping away at one of my favourite authors backlist and I just love she writes banter between her characters. This friends to “buddies” to forever story made me cry and made me laugh and made me wanna listen to George Michael. It was so cute. Tyler was such a loyal, smart, funny hero with a massive heart and Zooey was sassy and perfect for Tyler. Together they made me smile. I don’t foresee a time when this author let’s me down.
I can not express to you how much I loved this book. I have been in a slight book slump and gave this a try and OMG this is the sweetest, funniest book I have listened to in a while. The characters are amazing. I wished this was my life so much. Tyler has made my BBF list with no doubts. This is a very low angst listen which I appreciate from time to time but has so many emotions. Highly recommend and Lauren you did outstanding on this, writing and narration.
Misadventures of a College Girl was a great read by Lauren Rowe. Zooey is a freshman at UCLA who has always been straightlaced. She was hoping to have more fun in college than she had in high school. Before Zooey starts her classes she is hoping to lose her V card. She goes to a party and meets Tyler, a football player that she believes ust wants to have a good time. Neither one are looking for a commiment or a relationship. Neither one can deny the chemistry and pull they have to each ohter. This was another great read by Lauren Rowe. I can’t wait to read more by Lauren Rowe.
Disclaimer…I did not actually read this book, I listened to it. Misadventures of a College Girl was the 8th book in the Misadventures series and I love that Lauren herself narrated it!! This was my first time reading anything from the series but not from reading Lauren. In true Lauren fashion this book lots of laughs and tears and of course, all the love!!
Now that Zoey was in college, she was ready to cross off another first – her virginity. A party thrown by a bunch of football players seemed like the perfect place to start. What started out hot and heavy, left her wanting and needing more, but at what costs.
Tyler was only looking for a good time, he was too busy with football and school to add the pressure of a relationship. Taking Zoey to his room seemed like it would end in the perfect night but when he learned what she was giving up, he couldn’t. But why can’t he stop thinking about her?
After finding her again on campus, he proposed a solution. A pact, of sorts, but when their time ran out, would they be able to walk away?
Gah!! Such a fun time following their journey!! Tyler was such an amazing guy!! Another great book from Lauren!!
BREAKING NEWS … If you know me, you know I love Lauren Rowe’s series The Club. You would also know that Jonas Faraday is my all time #1 favorite book boyfriend OF ALL TIME. His insanely hot, fun, crazy brother Josh is #2 … or well, he was #2, he is now #3 cause our boy Tyler Caldwell from Misadventures of a College Girl has dethroned Josh Faraday. I KNOW! IT’S MADNESS BUT OH MY GOD WAIT TIL YOU MEET TYLER!!!
Misadventures of a College Girl is part of this wonderful collection of books, none of which are related, but are written by some of the most amazing authors on this planet – including my girl Lauren Rowe.
We meet curly-haired, girl-next-door Zooey Cartwright in her freshman year at UCLA. Zooey not only wants to experience college to it’s fullest class wise, she does with the partying, fun scene too, oh, and she wants to get rid of her virginity ASAP. After deciding to go to a football party with her roomie, Zooey sees this sex on two legs, wearing a sarcastic shirt, hotter than hell Tyler Caldwell. He can’t keep his eyes off Miss. Zooey and soon enough they’re burning it up on the dance floor, dry humping like it’s their minor in college. Zooey thinks her v-card will peace out that night after Tyler invites her to his bedroom, but once Tyler finds out about Zooey’s little secret things come to a screeching halt!
Tyler being the confident cocky but good-hearted boy comes up with a plan for him and Zooey …
And well, that’s that … you’ll have to read the book to find out what happens!
In true classic Lauren Rowe form – Tyler and Zooey are f*cking phenomenal as a characters – both on their own and together. Their chemistry practically pops off the pages. As always, Lauren gives us some aaahhhmazing secondary characters too that really glue this story together so well!
This book really hit a personal note with me … I too was the virgin at college and I remember meeting a hot good looking guy, who too, was wearing a cocky shirt with words that both made me laugh and roll my eyes, wanting him to be my first. In my story, that guy became my best guy friend that I have to this day, my v-card taker, well that’s another story, not quite as amazing as Tyler and Zooey …
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this book! I couldn’t put it down! Lauren’s books are like drugs for your eyeballs, lady bits, and mind – you will read til your eyes are watering – they send you into marathon reading mode, where it’s like your eyes and mind can’t read the words fast enough cause the story is just SO GOOD that you want to know more.
Misadventures of a College Girl gave me the WORST book hangover EVER. Like holy dear God – maybe the worst hangover of my life – and I’ve had some excessive party nights in my day but yeah, this hangover was the worst – which means this book is the absolute best!
So this was hilarious from Lauren Rowe. I was absolutely smitten with Zoey and Tyler. They were so cute and hilarous with each other. OMG I laughed so much with them. The best part for me was that its backdrop was Football and being a super fan of the sport, I absolutely loved it. Definitely worth 5*****
Adorably cute, and entertaining story. I enjoyed it.
Wow! Such a great coming of age story!
I wasn’t sure I was going to like yet another virginity book. Then Lauren introduced the two best characters I’ve met in a long time. The jock who’s so much more and the strong woman who is his perfect match.
I can’t say this is the greatest book of all time but it is the best of this series that I’ve read so far!
