Devin “Bone” Wallace is fresh out of prison and under orders from his parole office to find employment or be re-incarcerated. Devin’s not exactly a “people person” and he’s got zero computer skills, but that doesn’t stop him from applying at one of the most prestigious real estate firms on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
High-end real estate broker Teddi Mack’s life is selling eight-figure beachfront … beachfront mansions to elite clients. In desperate need of an office receptionist, Teddi’s right-hand woman interviews a stunningly handsome tattooed biker who doesn’t mince his words. Despite his unconventional appearance for such a role, she hires him on the spot.
Devin ends up using his connections to help Teddi with a listing she’s on the verge of losing, and the two fall fast for each other in the process. But Teddi would be risking her social and professional status being with a guy like Devin, and Devin’s had other plans all along. Will these two opposites attract strongly enough to ride off into the sunset together?
Misadventures is a romantic series of spicy standalone novels, each written or co-written by some of the best names in romance. The stories are scandalous, refreshing, and, of course, incredibly sexy. They’re the perfect bedside read, a ‘quick blush’ for the reader who loves a page-turning romance.

Scott Hilderth is a new to me author, but after reading this book I knew that I’ll be checking out more of his books. Misadventures of a Biker is a steamy, quick read.
Devin has just been released from prison after eight years. He needs a job, so he applies to be a receptionist for a real estate firm. What he doesn’t expect is Teddi, the woman who is now his new boss. I loved their story so much. It was scorching and these two are have chemistry that just explodes off the pages.
Devin is an alpha male; he is dominant and confident. The man knows what he loves and he isn’t afraid to say it. Teddi has been burned in the past and she has some walls up to protect herself. However, it doesn’t take long for Devin to break through them all.
If tattooed, dominant bikers are your jam and you love books with explosive chemistry this one is a MUST READ!
Another amazing Misadventure. This is my first time reading Scott’s books, but thoroughly enjoyed this one. Devin has done some things in his past he’s not proud of but being a biker was never one of them. He was proud of his MC and loved his bike more than anything. Teddi was a realtor and had done very well for herself, and having a man in her life was not a priority. She had been through enough in her life and didn’t want any more drama. Then Devin begins to work in her office and she can’t ignore the attraction she feels for him. Devin can’t ignore the pull he feels for Teddi either. They both have to decide if they are going follow through with their attraction or if they are going to be stubborn and ignore it.
This adventure takes you through so many twists and turns you will think you are on a bike with the wind blowing through your hair.
A fun, quick read that is everything you would expect if you’re familiar with this author. The character relationships are as real as they come, Devin and Herb (and Vinnie), Kate and Teddi, Devin and Kate, Teddi and Devin, we can all imagine the relationships that mirror them in our real lives. The conversations between them all are honest, hard and laugh out loud funny (“You keep jack-off juice in your purse?”) all while setting the scene for a decision that could make or break the future as they know it.
This is my very first book by this author. I have been wanting to read his work for ages and have quite a few on my kindle but all I can say is I am an idiot because after reading this story, wow! they will definitely be moved up the list as I loved the writing style so much.
Devin Wallace was one heck of a character and he had such fantastic expressions like, “..hornier than a three dic*ed rabbit” He was one very real, life-like character and I liked him immediately. His honesty was refreshing but was often interpreted as brashness which got him into trouble at times, understandably.
Teddy I found annoying at times in the beginning but she was described that way on purpose. As her character was developed I really liked her and could connect with her so much better. She certainly had a great sense of humour and a huge capacity to love, just hadn’t had the right opportunity.
Together, their chemistry was amazing and the intimacy was red hot and extremely sexy. It went a lot further than the physical but the story didn’t spend forever analysing the depth of their relationship, it was subtle and executed well.
There were fantastic descriptions in this story where you really could see the sun setting over the ocean, the dark interior of the Italian styled mansion and the old Harley with Devin riding, freeing his mind of worries as well as feel the emotions too.
This is a fast paced story and very easy to read, I was hooked by the first page and continued to be absorbed until the last one. I totally recommend it to everyone.
Devin is right out of prison and needs a job or his parole officer says it will be back to jail for him. Teddi is a high end realtor needing a receptionist. Devin applies for the job and Kate, Teddi’s second in command, hirers him on the spot. Their chemistry is combustible but can Teddi trust a tatted up biker with her heart?
This was my first Scott Hildreth book but I had no doubt it would be great since it is part of the Misadventures series. Loved Devin and the fact that he jumped into a job he knew nothing about and gave it his all. Teddi is a tough as nails woman and knows she can take care of herself. This was a fun, steamy read and a great addition to the Misadventures Series. Looking forward to reading more of this author’s work.
This was the first book I have read by this author but will definitely be checking his books out!
Devin is free out of prison and needing a job bad. Teddi has no idea why Kate hired the biker boy but she doesn’t like it at all.
The sparks between these two definitely fly. What starts as banter turns to much more. I loved Herb! He was a great addition to the book.
I enjoyed this book. Look forward to the next Misadventures book.
A biker story with a twist! Debra @janise’s Jivin’ Book Blog
You can’t always judge a book by its cover! I love the dynamic with Teddi and Devin! I also truly enjoyed their friends! Without just one of the characters the story would not have worked quite as well!
Friendship, family, good times and unsure moments fill this book! But in the end we get clarity and happiness! In this case even when there is love it doesn’t mean you are completely positive on how life will work!
So put on your helmet and get ready for the ride of a lifetime!
Born to be Wild…
Devin Wallace is every woman’s bad boy wet dream and every father’s worst nightmare. He is a biker, built like a brickhouse and is covered in tattoos. It also does not help he has just been released from Federal Prison after an 8 year stint. No brainer, it makes it impossible to be taken seriously and definitely in trying to even get an interview for a job. And he needs to get a job, his parole officer is biting his ankles with a deadline to get one.
He applies for a receptionist’s job at a Real Estate Broker’s office, yes you heard right, but he was desperate. He was not in a position to be choosy. Teddi Mack was to conduct the interview but she was “indisposed” and so her second in command filled in and made an executive decision to hire him. When Devin and Teddi meet, they are like 2 angry rottweilers fighting over a bone. The sexual chemistry between these two however could not be denied.
I got a kick out of the secondary characters in this book. Devin’s ornery elder friend Herb was a man who did not have a filter and said exactly how he felt. Also, Teddi’s gal pal Kate is a piece of work. She wore Devin down to become her BFF so they could discuss the in and outs of men/women relationships. Pun intended. This was a sexy, steamy and delicious story from Scott Hildreth, my first from him, but definitely not my last.
Oh I could not put it down, I absolutely loved it Davin is like the perfect guy, seriously and him and Teddi make an awesome couple.
This was a new author for me and I just loved his writing, loved that it dual POV, it was just an awesome read, I seriously could not put it down!!
This was such a down-to-earth, realistic, dominant, masculine book!
Devin, who was recently released from prison is in desperate need of a job, applies within Teddi’s company. Things do not start off well for Teddi and Devin but eventually things take a heated approach to their relationship.
I honestly think this book fits so well in the Misadventures series. I loved it so much. I wish it was possible to give more than 5 Stars. It really deserves at least 20 stars. I hope and pray that there are more misadventures added from Scott! I have never read anything else from this author. However after this story, I’ll definitely be purchasing more of his books.
4.75 stars
This is another wonderful addition to the Misadventure Series with Devin and Teddi’s story. After eight long years, Devin is out of jail and looking to restart his life. First on the agenda is getting a job which is not looking too promising until he walks into a real estate office that is seeking a receptionist. Being the only male in the office has some challenges, especially when Teddi shows up with her bias against men due to her past relationship. Not one to be disrespected, Devin has no qualms about going toe to toe with Teddi when necessary but luckily Teddi’s best friend Kate is able to mitigate the waters between them. Can Devin and Teddi get along to make a relationship work? This is one well written storyline with characters that readers just fall for and want to see it all work out. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
Absolutely loved how this new to me author. Shows that even ex convict motorcycle bad dude D should get a second chance in society thanks to Kate.
When Devin gets released from jail he needs to find a job. With not many places willing to hire a convict he ends up taking a receptionist job at a real estate office. Totally out of his element but doing a great job leads him to a connection with one of the agents Tedi who might be a petite woman on the outside but a ball of fire on the inside. Can two very different people make a relationship work? Can the biker finally find his future? As with the other stories in the series this is another great read. The reader instantly falls in love with the characters and wants them to get their HEA.
