California golden girl, Sage Wentworth’s life looks perfect from the outside looking in. She’s got money, friends, and all the social status a girl could want. But underneath the glitz and glamour, Sage’s perfect existence holds many dark secrets—secrets even she herself doesn’t know. When she is unceremoniously sent to live with her biological father’s family in North Carolina for the summer, … summer, Sage finds herself swimming in very unfamiliar waters with seemingly friendly sharks poised to eat her alive on every side. Can Sage navigate these treacherous waters long enough to get back home, or has life for this golden girl changed forever?
Luke Baker has always considered himself a slacker of the first order. He’s not particularly athletic, musical, talented or intelligent. In fact, his “talents” such as they are run more in the vein of helping people when they most need it, and right now, that talent is much-needed by his best friend, Jaycee Lawrence who is facing the arrival of the stepsister she had gladly forgotten ever existed. A whole summer trying to talk Jaycee down off the ledge while simultaneously fighting like mad not to fall for her gorgeous, unattainable older sister? Yeah, this should be fun…

wonderful start to a great series
Another great work by this author!
Love love love Staci Stallings!
At times, it seemed a bit long. But overall good book with praying to get everyone on the same page and a good outcome.
I’ve read quite a few of Ms. Stallings books. They are all excellent, can’t put down, not what I expected would happen clean Christan novels of hope and inspiration. I highly recommend the Faith Series. Books I wish I hadn’t discovered yet, so I could experience the intense involvement and looking forward to reading feeling again! Excellent writer!
Enjoyed reading this book. I caught a glimpse maybe of how messy some people’s lives can be and how it can influence how they might think. I came away with a small nugget of insight
It was a romance novel with a fresh outlook. God was in the forefront of the relationshipeople. Refreshing!!
In an unusual twist the bad girl turns out to be good and the good girl is tainted by her anger and envy. Human emotion, raw and realistic and the result of one man’s decision to be unfaithful. So much pain…
Gives a person more to think about while reading this book. Things that we probably don’t think twice about and are not aware of what another person feels about themselves and their worth to others.
I like that her stories are always tackling real problems and her characters are very believable. She seriously needs to find a better editor though! Grammar mistakes all throughout.
Sisters, so different when they were younger, but more alike after years apart. This story addresses personal issues that each sister has to address individually, as a group, and with other family members. The Lord in their lives makes the difference! Being able to forgive and live in harmony is a great factor in a Christian’s life.
Wow, Staci Stallings has outdone herself, this is an excellent read, couldn’t lay it down.
I LOVED this book. I loved the characters, and how they all grew and became better people as they dealt with a very difficult situation. The author did a great job of letting you see and understand the emotions of each character, and how that shaped their behavior. This is a long book (approx. 3 times as long as what I usually read). However, I still did not want it to end. I will definitely be reading book two in the series.
A good read.
Enjoyed very much
This is the first book I’ve read by this author, but it will definitely not be the last. I must say this is a well-written book, with characters fleshed out so well, you feel you might meet them on the street. I read reviews complaining that this book was too long, and could have been shortened. I absolutely disagree. First of all, this book is depicted as an epic, even though it unfolds over one summer. Secondly, and most important, it takes time for an author to so totally bring to life all the characters that played important roles in the story. The impact and weight of the story would have never been the same had it been shortened. I loved this book and will soon be reading the next book in the series.
One of my favorite reads. I recommended it to my book club.
Hmmm…as a fan of Staci Stallings, I am not a fan of this one. Perhaps it’s written more for high school readers. Main characters were high school. Jaycee is very upset when her half-sister comes to visit for the summer. The two girls are total opposites. Jaycee is very jealous and downright rude and hateful to both her half-sister, Sage, as well as to her mother. Jaycee claims to be a Christian, but you see nothing in her behavior to support this when her sister arrives. Just a let down read for me.
The min i finished reading Mirror Mirror i ordered the next 2 books Loved this book.
Too long in developing the story
