In a Drought, It’s the Darkest Cloud

This debut novel is splendid. The story is genuine and heartfelt, with just a touch of the Divine. A story of forgiveness and reckoning, and realizing love does cover a multitude of sins. Thomas will be a go-to author after you read Miracle in a Dry Season.

I enjoyed this book, it was an easy read with Christian ideals and a story that made you think about judging people.
A woman was shunned because of a child out of wedlock. All have sinned but some think their sin is not as bad. People learn to help, love and forgive and face some truths during a hard time in a rural area in which they live in the fifties. I highly recommend this book.
I absolutely loved this book. Great characters and it took place in West Virginia where I was born. I’m now reading the second book of the series and I can’t put it down either! Great reading.
Such a wonderful book with amazing true-to-life characters that struggle with the issues of faith that we all deal with. Loved the quiet theology developed throughout the story. Would highly recommend.
This was so well-written especially in character development. The spiritual insights were soft and realistic. I would like to have a regular book copy for my library.
