Sam Santino lives day by day. Abandoned as a child, he doesn’t think he has it in him to be a family man or create roots with anyone or anywhere. Macie Marks knows the beauty of love and the destruction a broken heart can leave. She saw it firsthand after her mother passed away and she lost her father to indifference. Each one is living minute by minute in their own way. Until their paths cross … their paths cross in the most unlikely of places, twice.
Now stuck on a road trip across the country, they soon start to realize the pull toward the other is more than sexual. Can great things happen when you least expect them? Or will they let the opportunity for more pass them by?

4 Sam Filled Stars!!!
This is the second book in Mayra Statham’s Timeless Series . As much as I liked Nina and Brandon there was something about Sam that I wanted more of.
Sam was thrown away at birth. Left at the firehouse. Since then he’s gone from home to home until he joined the military and met Brandon.
Now Sam is retired and doesn’t know what’s next for him. He’s never really set roots but for now he’ll try it.
Macie wants to graduate and move away as far away as possible. After her mother passed away her father distance himself from her. When she met Nina and her family she had a family again.
Macie decided to move back with Nina and get a job. There was something about Sam that Macie wanted to know more about him.
Macie and Sam get stuck carpooling across country since their best friends have reconnected and want to spend more time together.
The chemistry Sam and Macie have is strong and they can’t keep their hands to themselves and they give into temptation.
They agree that while they’re on the road they’ll enjoy each other. But, they fall for each other quicker and harder then they thought and were afraid to say their feelings out loud incase the other one didn’t feel the same way.
I read this in one afternoon. My heart hurt for Sam for the life he had led but I sure do love him more so then Brandon.
I do wish it was a full length book. But, I say that every time lol. I’m waiting for Mayra’s next release.
I absolutely love Mayra Statham! Her writing is one that I can’t wait to read. She hooks you from the first page and you can’t put it down.
Minute by Minute follows two people who had a spark when they first met and by chance they are going across the country with each other. We watch as these two fall in love.
Highly recommended.
A very sweet and enjoyable quick read. The characters were very likeable and well written. The storyline itself was very interesting and engaging. Although it is a short story I didn’t feel like anything was missing from the story. I really enjoyed reading this book.
I loved Sam and Macie’s story.
Macie is ready to set out on a new chapter in her life. Leaving behind her father who couldn’t be bothered to be at her college graduation.
Sam is about to put down roots for the first time ever in his life. He has no clue what he is going to do but is going to do it near his buddy Brandon.
When Sam and Macie are thrown together traveling across the country, you can’t help but see the sparks. As the sparks fly will it ignite into something more??
“Great f@#&ing things happen without you planning on them, honey.” Love this quote from the book!!
Great read can’t wait for Leti’s book.
This was such a sweet read that I couldn’t put it down. Sam and Macie meet at her college graduation. They have somewhat of a meet cute moment when Sam asked her for the time. Before either of them could say more Macie is swept away by Nina’s (her BFF) family, leaving her to think she’ll never see Mr. Blue Eyes again. Well its a small world cause he turns out to be Brandons (Nina’s fiancé)BFF and the guy that will be traveling with them to California. Of course they have an intense yet very hot attraction towards each other that turns into a lot more. But nothing can ever be easy and we find out they both have pasts that have clogged their perspective on Love. Little by little they break down each others walls and eventually listen to their hearts to find the HEA they both desperately need.
Minute by Minute is the 2nd book in the Timeless Series and is so far my favorite. I love the characters and how the H was so confused about his feelings towards the h that he struggles with his inner self. He knows that he’s saying/doing the wrong things but can’t seem to stop. The whole situation felt real in a way. Now I did notice something in this story that was different in the first book but it didn’t effect the flow of the story and if anything it made the storyline a lot better. So if your looking for a sweet story with a some heat than this is the book for you.
Happy Reading Everyone
*I received this ARC for my honest review*
What happens when a woman who’s determined not to love and a man who doesn’t know how to love are thrown together? It would appear that sparks fly, miscommunications happen, and then they both learn how to grow beyond their fears.
Sam and Macie are on a road trip together with their respective best friends, who happen to be a couple. And when so much love is all around and attraction is in the air, they’re unable to stay away from each other. Their hookup manages to turn into so much more, and it made for a sweet, quick read about how love can be found just about anywhere. I especially loved the epilogue because Sam helps to put Macie and someone very important back on the path to reconciliation.
Sam and Macie’s story was a great read. I met them in 5 more minutes and enjoyed how their story continued. This was an emotional read and I loved everything about it. Looking forward to last minute. Well done Mayra!
