Really liked the theme that if you set out to accomplish making a bad situation better, you can with the right outlook.
An absolute must read a real page turner, couldn’t put it down once I finished it I grabbed another one by the same author!
Loved this book. Impressive writing by an author I hadn’t read before.
I really enjoyed Minus… he is definitely someone I would be drawn too. Strong, breathtaking… my fantacy lol.
Love this series.
I enjoyed this book
Not to be missed passion-filled hook up in a barn. Love having a strong female protagonist in Cricket.
This was the first book I have read from this author and I really enjoyed it. Will definitely be checking out his other work. If you like alpha MC men then you should read Minus’s story. This is told in dual POV; Minus was sent away from his MC for six years but now he is back and no longer the boy that left. Cricket was just a teenager when her first love was sent away. She has grown up but is extremely bitter so when Minus walks back into town six years after leaving she doesn’t know how to act. Both from two different MC families…both still have feelings for one another….but will the distance between them make them come together or hate each other even more?
This is the first time reading this author’s work and I was so very pleased that this book was such a knock out that I can’t wait to read more from Mr. Davenport. This book is extremely well written with a storyline that will grab you, throw you on the back of the Harley for a ride that will thrill you, excite you, scare you and leave your body in a puddle of heat induced lethargy, but it is so well worth the ride! From being young lovers, to being forced apart by family, both blood and by brotherhood, Cricket and Minus re-meeting is anything but a joyous event. Confusion and anger cloud both of their minds as the President of the Burning Saints, Cutter, informs them of his intentions. And his intentions involves both of them working together!
There is another club in town trying to muscle in on the Saint’s territory. There is apparently a “rat” in the midst of the Saint’s club. There is Cricket and Minus’s issue with each other and with the proposition made to them by Cutter, and then there is Cricket’s brothers MC as well as her brother Hatch himself. Those are the few little wrenches that are thrown into the mix of what would be Cricket and Minus’ getting back to where they were before he left all those years ago. Sounds fun….right???
The characters in this book are so very well written and incredibly well defined, and that includes the supporting characters, who I hope we get to see more of and get to know better in books to come. For now, Minus is hot, smart and is given a task that he didn’t see coming and certainly didn’t think for one moment that running into Cricket was even an option is this meeting with Cutter, but there she is. Beautiful, smart, successful and still holding onto his heart, she stands in the middle of the room, waiting to see what Cutter, her uncle, has to say. Not expecting to see the man who left her and took her heart right along with him. Cutter has plans for these two, if he can just get them to sit down and hear him out.
I was instantly engrossed in this story and didn’t want to put the book down for even a moment (real life does tend to get in the way sometimes). But when I had it in my hands, I read as fast as I could so that I could see what was going to happen. And believe me, I was not let down at all. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next one in the series. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!
3.5 Stars
Minus was banished years ago from his MC chapter…He was strictly told to stay away from the love of his life, cricket. Now years later he is called back by the very man who destroyed his life…with an offer that simply can’t be refused!
Alright, let’s start off by saying I really enjoyed Minus and the storyline that developed throughout this novel. I loved the action and how it kept me on the edge of my seat. I found this novel Sexy and Minus is very irresistible…
However, I had one small issue and this honestly is probably an issue with me but I had a really hard time feeling the connection between the main characters outside of the bedroom.
With that being said, I will definitely be reading more from this series in the future!
Minus is exactly what I crave in an MC read. Raw and gritty, with a hot romance and a storyline that keeps you hooked. These are no sweet, gentle bikers. These are the real rough bad boys that give their all to everything they do. It. Is. Glorious. I stayed up late into the night reading this because I couldn’t put it down. Between the hot (and I mean HOT) romance of Minus and Cricket and the suspense of everything happening with the club I had to know what would happen next!
Minus isn’t a big softy. He’s a true, Take no s**t, alpha bad#$. He loves Cricket fiercely and beautifully but there’s so sugary sweetness here. There’s lots, and lots, and LOTS of heat. The perfect match to Minus, Cricket herself is no doormat. She’s strong and tough in her own right, making these two a powerhouse of a couple that you can’t help but love.
This book… it is awesome! I am a huge fan of Piper Davenports Dogs of Fire series and could not wait for Crickets story. This book does not disappoint! Cricket and Minus were young loves separated by circumstances out of their control. Flash forward and watch the sparks fly! Cricket is feisty and independent. Her brother Hatch is from the Dogs of Fire MC and she knows how to deal with an alpha males. Minus is all MC Alpha but with layers and depth once he sets his sights on Cricket again he plans on getting her back. Add in HAWT love scenes and MC intrigue and you have your self a page turner! Jack does a great job created a new world that has ties to the Dogs of Fire series. I can’t wait to read the next book!
This book is connected to, but not part of, the Dogs of Fire series by Piper Davenport. It is not necessary to read this series to understand and appreciate Minus (but really, the Dogs of Fire are so amazing, why would you not?!?)
Cricket and Minus were together, but then they weren’t. And now, Cricket’s uncle want her and Minus to work together, to accomplish a goal. Hurt feelings, miscommunication, and half truths could keep that from happening.
Cricket and Minus have to find their way to working together, putting those old hurts behind them, to keep the bad guys from taking away something important to both of them.
This story is full of love, family, action, and adventure. I enjoyed the glimpses that we caught of a few of the Dogs of Fire characters, and loved “meeting” the new characters from the Burning Saints MC. This book is a great start to a new MC, but fits right in with the characters we are already so fond of. If you loved the Dogs of Fire, by Piper Davenport, then you will definitely love Minus and Cricket!
it was to slow
THIs book was entertaining and easy to read but I never understood why they were together. One minute Cricket is all full of anger about how he left her and then she is screwing his brains out and processing her love. Just seemed hard to believe it would happen this way
Just couldn’t get into this book
Couldn’t get interested
Boring- I wasn’t able to finish this book
Great characters and a great read! Loved everything about it! Can’t wsit to read more from the Saints!

Minus wasn’t my first time reading Jack Davenport’s work, but his previous works were in collaboration with his wife Piper Davenport, and I wasn’t disappointed.
Minus is the first title in the Burning Saints MC series, and features the characters of Minus and Cricket. Those familiar with Piper’s series The Dogs of Fire MC may recognise Cricket’s name as she is Hatch’s younger sister.
Young lovers separated by loyalty to family and club, they maintained their distance due to heartache fueled by miscommunications, until they are once again thrust back into each others paths.
This title is completely captivating, I didn’t want to put it down. There’s action, intrigue, suspense and drama galore. The chemistry between this pair is intense and undeniable, and when they come together it’s incredibly hot and steamy. Minus is gritty and raw with violence that has a depth that is sometimes missing from female authors of this genre.
I will be eagerly awaiting more of The Burning Saints MC, and look forward to seeing who’s story will be next!
