This is my first read by Jack Davenport and was a recommendation. I’m so glad I took the plunge. I absolutely loved this book. One of the things I really enjoyed was the set up of the story and how we were introduced to Minus and Christina or Cricket, as she’s known. There was tons of action, a great storyline and steaminess between the couple–everything you’d expect from an MC novel. One of the things that really struck me was the dialogue. It was so fluently written, to the point were I could imagine it playing out on the big screen. I can’t wait to read more from Jack.
All it took was one page and I was hooked on Jack Davenport’s writing. Minus is a stellar addition to his library!
Absolutely Loved It!! I came across this book while looking for a book to hold my attention. This book certainly held my attention. From beginning to end this book did not disappoint.
OK, I have to be honest, the main reason I started Minus was simply because of baby elephants. I’d see on Facebook posts featuring baby elephants and mentioning Minus. For the life of me, I couldn’t figure out what a baby elephant had to do with a MC romance. So cracked open the pages, and I’m so glad I did.
Minus was not quite what I was expecting. Minus returns to Portland to find that Cutter wants Minus to take over as president of the Burning Saints MC and clean the club up with the help of Cricket, his old sweetheart. But there are obstacles and another gang that won’t make that very easy. There are points in this book that will have you on the edge of your seat wondering how something will work out or what will happen next.
Do I recommend Minus? Absolutely. Will you love it? I certainly hope so. Will I give you a hint what the baby elephant has to do with anything? Nope, you will have to read it for yourself.
Second Chances
Who doesn’t like a second chance romance? Throw in a MC with a hot biker and a mouthy heroine that is just FABULOUS in more ways than one. I wasn’t disappointed in any way, shape, or form with this new MC book.
Very good book
Bring Her Back is like a Jack Ketchum novel packed with dark humor.
Minus and Cricket are on the road again and it’s full of action, adventure, and sensuality. Cricket was shattered when Jace Vincent disappeared from her life. She loved him wholeheartedly and when he left she was crushed. Since then no man has ever been able to fill his boots and she has a lot unresolved feelings for him should he ever darken her doorstep again. Minus was exiled when his involvement with Cricket Wallace was discovered. Without his woman or his brotherhood he felt empty and angry. The very last thing he expects when he is finally pulled from exile is not only see Cricket again but crazy Crow wants them to be his successors. Seeing Cricket and bring back with the club feels like coming home, but convincing his fiery girl to give this crazy train a ride won’t be easy.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.
Damn! That was hot! Light me up with a bad boy! Ride me on his Harley! I’m coming with him until the sun goes down and rises into morning glory! Our bad boy, Minus, has nothing missing that I can see. He gets the girl and is always on top. There’s a few bumps along the way, but that only makes for an exciting ride. Come roll with the Burning Saints and find one for your very own!
Minus was exiled and sent away from his MC because of a woman. Now he has been summoned by his MC and it will bring him back into the presence of the woman he was exiled for. Cricket is living her life on her own terms but when she connects with Minus their lives will change once again. Will this union lead them down the path of a happily ever after finally?
Love all of Jack Davenport’s books can’t get enough
Believable plot with characters realistically portrayed, all told in a writing style that flows perfectly. All of this and with a heat that will melt your kindle
This is my first time reading a book by Jack Davenport, and I have to say I was not disappointed. I am definitely a fan now. This was an exciting, and lovely twist on a second chance romance. There was the perfect amount of suspense, intrigue, and of course steaminess. I enjoyed this book.
Love all of this series (even though I didn’t read them in order). Each story has been unique and stand alone.
SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE
So, after being exiled to their Georgia chapter by his president, Jase “Minus” Vincent, a member of the Burning Saints MC has no idea why Cutter, the same president who not only had him exiled, years ago, but also forced him to stay away from the only girl he had ever loved…..Why has Cutter asked Minus to meet with him??
Christina “Cricket” Wallace has grown up around the MC life, and and her brother is in an a different MC member….So, Cricket doesn’t know why her estranged uncle Cutter asked her to meet with him…
Minus and Cricket fell in love when they were younger and we’re together for a year, but him walking away from her without looking back was a non-negotiable part of him being exiled… Minus and Cricket show up at Cutter’s at the same time and after all these years, when they see each other, all the feelings are still there, and when Cutter suggests Minus take over the presidency of the club and Cricket help run the club by his side….they have to at least consider it…
This is a second chance romance between Minus and Cricket. If you have read the Dogs of Fire series by Piper Davenport then you have already met Cricket. There are a few crossovers between these two series. It has been six years since Cricket and Minus have seen each other when they are brought into close proximity again by the President of the Burning Saints. Cricket is very pissed as Minus just disappeared one day without another word. Minus is also confused by this new turn of events after what transpired with Cutter (his club’s Pres) 6 years ago. There is some intrigue with the club and some issues with Cricket’s family throughout. Will these two be able to get over the hurts of the past to begin a future together? I really enjoyed this book and will be reading the others in this series.
Wow, this is the start of a series with a couple of familiar figures from Dogs of Fire MC, this is about Minus and how he becomes the Prez of The Burning Saints and his love for Cricket Wallace, exciting and thrilling i could not put this book down
I love MC books and Minus is the first in the Burning Saints series by Jack Davenport and I am a new fan! I loved the characters, the writing and the storyline.
Cricket and Minus have a history. He disappeared but now is back. They easily rekindle the flame that they had before and set off in a direction together that they never thought they would ever have.
I am looking forward to what the rest of this series has to offer.
Well, this solo debut novel impressed the hell out of me. Minus was filled with sharp banter and clever internal monologue for Minus AND Cricket. A dual POV done right! It was too fast of a read, though, and I was done in a flash. I’m very much looking forward to continuing the series as soon as I am able. I submitted a few errors but overall was very pleased with the writing and editing. Oh, and the cover is YUM!
Loved it. Great characters and storyline.
