It’s a fine line between feuding and flirting… Ever since Megan Miller arrived in stunning Lost Harbor, Alaska, she’s been at odds with boat captain Lucas Holt. They’re opposites in every way. She’s a city girl, he’s from an Alaska homestead. She runs nature tours, he’s all about big-money charters. He’s also arrogant, annoying and oh yeah, wildly attractive. Lost Harbor would be the perfect … perfect escape from the tragedy that sent her running–except for her feud with the hottie captain.
Lucas Holt came home for one thing—settle his father’s affairs then hightail it back to Colorado. So why is he still here? Is it because there’s something fishy about his father’s death? Is it the endearingly eccentric locals and enchanting scenery? Or could it be Lost Harbor’s newest resident, a sassy scientist who’s as sexy as she is stubborn? Arguing with Megan is the best foreplay he’s had in years.
Until one of Lost Harbor’s dangerous storms tosses everything up in the air, and a feud turns to a passionate affair–with stakes higher than Megan ever imagined.

Mine Until Moonrise is the first book in Jennifer Bernard’s Lost Harbor, Alaska series. Another fabulous read from Ms. Bernard. Lucas Holt and Megan Miller are like oil and water at first. It was fun watching them as they let their guard down and find their happily ever after. Megan’s daughter Ruby is sweet. She added a lot to the overall book.
I’m excited to see where Ms. Bernard takes the reader as she develops this series. She has built a town with everything you can imagine along with a cast of characters that I’m sure will all find their way into the series. What I love about Ms. Bernard’s books is she draws the reader in from page one and by the time the book is over you can’t wait to see what the next adventure is in the series.
Ms. Bernard is one of my favorite authors. I’ve read all of her book and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend Mine Until Moonrise, and I can’t wait for the next book in the series. I’d like to disclose that I received and advance copy of this book which I chose to read and review. This is my true and honest opinion.
Aww what a cute enemies to lovers romance set in the wilds of Alaska. Really loved Megan’s and Lucas’ “verbal foreplay” as I read how their relationship developed. Fun and beautiful setting, good verbal foreplay, and some hot sexy moments to keep them warm in Alaska? Definitely an all around fun story to read.
This is my first book by this author. I was very excited to find a book set in Alaska and written by an author that lives there. After I lived there for 26 years, I have often found myself disappointed with books set in Alaska as they do not often get some basic aspects of living there correct. That was not the case with this novel. The author completely understands what living in a small harbor town feels like. I also appreciated her knowledge of boating and survival on the water in Alaska. The whole book left me more than a little homesick to revisit some of my favorite Alaskan haunts and remembering many good times of the life we had there while raising our family.
Lucas is the perfect kind of grumpy fisherman hero. But there is more to him than meets the eye. I love that he has good character, a streak of protectiveness, and innate leadership authority with other locals. I also appreciated that he is struggling with the aftermath of his father’s death. I liked that the author let him walk through the difficult emotions that are present when grieving a parent when the parent child relationship was difficult at best. His belief in Megan and his willingness to banter with her was fun to read.
Megan and her adorable prodigy daughter, Ruby, have started over in Alaska to run a nature/birding charter. I love that Megan is a loving mom who wants her child to experience a full, well-rounded life and not just a good education based on books alone. I have witnessed many kids in Alaska having some of the experiences that Ruby has in the story and found it heartwarming (though they may be foreign to parents in a lot of other places.)
I appreciate that Lucas helps Megan find her self-confidence and that he sees her as tough from the beginning. Their sparring and verbal banter is delightful and the chemistry between them is off the charts. This book contains moments of humor, a little drama, and some heat. It is written in third person from dual POV. I look forward to reading more in this series and more by this author who took me on a very enjoyable journey back to Alaska.
Love the story & characters
Megan moved to Lost Harbor, Alaska with her daughter Ruby from California after an office shooting she has nightmares about. Lucus was born and raised in Lost Harbor but left and had a very successful business in Colorado but was back in Lost Harbor to take care of things after his dad’s accidental drowning! Lucus is running his dad’s fishing charters and Megan is running a wildlife sightseeing charter and rents space from Lucus for her office. They have been at odds since Megan arrived in Lost Harbor. All they do is fight until Megan gets stranded at sea and Lucus helps her. A great standalone with an HEA!!
I really liked the hate to love relationship, toss in a kid, and cool dog; great book
Great reading about life and Alaska
Great read!
Great writing loved the story. Very exciting funny informative. Thank you
There are very few constants in life. Jennifer Bernard’s talent for writing, however, falls into that category. She is a born storyteller who never disappoints. And now she’s back with a stellar series set in her home state of Alaska. Run, DON’T WALK, to grab this book. And read it immediately!
If you’re looking for fun, heart-warming and steamy romance, don’t miss this 🙂
Engaging story about a mother with her child moving to Alaska to start a new life and the men who get in the way. Sexual situations. Light on foul language. Happily ever after. Strong characters. Worth adding to your reading list.
12/02/2020 “Mine Until Moonrise” (nook) is a sexy, romantic and emotional story. I chuckled throughout the book as Megan and Lucas sparred. Of course, there was plenty of tension and angst as they wound their way to a HEA.
Loved this Alaskan romance, characters took a while to realize their connection.
Megan is fiercely independent and almost out of her depth having taken over the ownership and operation of an Alaska nature tour boat when she signed on as the naturalist. Her daughter is scary smart, and Megan’s ex wants to focus on that, while Megan wants Ruby to be well-rounded. With Ruby’s help, Megan comes to realize Lucas is not the enemy.
Cute. Not the best, not the worst, but entertaining enough.

This book is slow and just an okay read.
I didn’tfinish this book. I don’t understand why it is necessary to use language like this author did. I would not recommend this book to anyone
good read
A delightful Alaskan Romance. I really like this author’s style. I like the town she has created along the Alaskan coast. The issues the 2 main characters have are interesting and developed in a way to keep them interesting. The romance is fun. The sex is well written and doesn’t take over the whole story once it starts. Great innuendos. The daughter and people in the town are awesome. The villian is well written. Looking forward to Zoe’s story.
