Can the way you view your body change, when all you see are scars? Nathan Bridges is an exhibitionist who loves his life as a Dom. Then one fateful day, that all changed and Nathan has spent the last ten years hiding from what happened. That is until Lenny shows him what true bravery is. The feelings he has for Lenny give him back what has been missing from his life and allows Nathan to truly … allows Nathan to truly embrace the present and let go of the past to see that beauty is more than just a body.
But life is never that simple, as forces beyond their control work against them.
This is the second part of the Mine, Body and Soul trilogy in The Playroom series. It is an MM age gap gay romance with aspects of BDSM, and a sexual awakening that has the power to free both men from the chains of their past and drive the true Dom inside Nathan to reappear.
This is the second book in the trilogy and the author advises that these books should be read in order to better understand the storyline. This book ends on a cliffhanger with the HEA coming in the third and final book.
Warning
This book contains some violence and touches briefly on past traumas and childhood issues.

Cliffhanger alert! Yes, I want to get that out there first as it is very important to note this ends with a cliffhanger, and what a cliffhanger it is! Wow! I love, love a good cliffhanger and this one is one of the best I’ve read in a while. So, that being said, and as this is an ongoing storyline with Nathan and Lenny, you might want to wait until part 3 has been released before diving in. Another thing I love about this story is that things just don’t fall into place for Nathan and Lenny very quickly. Lenny does his darndest to test Nathan’s patience, and we get to see just how much or how little patience Nathan has. There is also just a touch of darkness that I didn’t see coming, which was a plus for me. After recovering from my mouth-hanging open moment at the end, I was left wanting more and cannot wait to read part 3 with Nathan and Lenny!
JP Sayles is a very talented writer and her books have a way of drawing you in, falling in love with her boys and hanging around to read just how each of their tales will evolve to their happy ever after. I just love these boys, these two beautifully broken men deserve each other because they each have know great pain and survived. Nathan and Lenny have so much to give to someone they care for, but it is going to take time to figure out the best way to do it. The biggest gift they have going is being able to talk to each other, with time, lots of effort and patience they will have to decide if they are worth all the effort it takes to build a long lasting relationship, I can’t wait to find out how this story ends!
Nathan battles with his self-esteem when it comes to showing his scars. Lenny is trying to figure out himself along with how he feels or is starting to feel for Nathan. There is so much in this story that will bring out all your feelings and you will be on edge wanting to know what happens next.
You have to read the first book before reading this one and you will definitely look forward to the next.
Nathan and Lenny become even closer in their second installment. They open up more about their individual pasts, their demons, and they talk more about the lifestyle. Lenny obviously isn’t entrenched in the lifestyle, so he doesn’t know all the ins and the outs. But he’s slowly but surely coming around to Nathan’s way of conducting a relationship. And they come to some serious realizations about their feelings for each other.
And then that dang cliffhanger, and now I’m on the edge of my seat, waiting impatiently until the next part comes out so I can find out what happens!!
uuurrrgghhh i love this series so much, i was so excited to read this, and man, it did not disappoint. Once i started i couldnt put it down
I loved Lenny and Nathan before but after reading this I just love them so much more., seeing Lenny grow and mature in to his own. which just so beautiful to see, and to see Nathan deal and heal with his truma and old wounds, which was just so well done
It does end on a cliffhanger, but that just makes me even more keen and excited for the next part, I cant wait to see what happens with Lenny and Nathan
In this second part we witnessed how the D/s relationship changed and we now have a Lenny trying to understand his role while struggling with his own doubts and his growing feelings for Nathan. We also got some backstory that helped us to understand the issues Nathan had that avoided him to get a sub before and how they were affecting his relationship with Lenny. But in this part two we also got a danger lurking underneath until an unexpected cliffhanger end. More amazing characters, plot being more intense as the story advances and a a D/s relationship in the making… these are the elements for a wonderful reading. Book three is going to be a blast!!!
I received this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.
Mine, Body and Soul: Part Two is the second book in The Playroom series by JP Sayle. It is a contemporary m/m romance with kink, an age gap and love. Nathan and Lenny are fascinating characters who have experience great trauma and have scars both physically and emotionally from their pasts. Together they find so much and they are beautiful and strong and I am enjoying their journey together. This story has drama, humor, sweetness and heat… and that cliffhanger has me anxious for book three.
Mine, Body, and Soul is a multipart series with each part ending in a cliffhanger. Read the first part first before starting Part 2. Part 2 picks up immediately from where Part 1 ended. This book has just as much drama and action as Part 1. There are a lot of sweet and sexy moments between Nathan and Lenny that are wonderful. I became invested in their relationship and was rooting for them through the highs and lows.
