A breathtaking near-future thriller. From the NY Times bestselling author whose books have been downloaded over a million times. When Nick Hall wakes up in a dumpster–bloodied, without a memory, and hearing voices in his head–he knows things are bad. But they’re about to get far worse. Because he’s being hunted by a team of assassins. Soon Hall discovers that advanced electronics have been … electronics have been implanted in his brain, and he now has two astonishing abilities. He can surf the web using thoughts alone. And he can read minds. But who inserted the implants? And why? And why is someone so desperate to kill him?
As Hall races to find answers, he comes to learn that far more is at stake than just his life. Because his actions can either catapult civilization to new heights–or bring about its total collapse.
Based on actual research on thought-controlled web surfing, Mind’s Eye is a smart, roller-coaster ride of a thriller. One that raises a number of intriguing, and sometimes chilling, possibilities about a future that is just around the corner.

This is a fun read. It’s the first of three books in the Nick Hall series by Douglas Richards. Imagine waking up in a trash dumpster with no memory of who you are. And then you discover that you can read people’s minds. And then you realize people are trying to kill you. Full of action and surprising twists.
Definitely a good read, twists and turns throughout. there was a point where I too was thrown into the waiting arms of absolute, jaw-dropping, bewilderment when whooooa…I didn’t see THAT coming!
Diabolical. This plot is diabolical, making it one of the best, most intense books I’ve read in a long time. Nick Hall comes to in a dumpster, bleeding, unaware of his own name or past. But he can use ESP to read others’ minds and soon realizes that he can access the internet just by using his mind. Oh, and that lots of people are trying to kill …
Great start, likeable main character, lots of plot twists and an interesting premise. There are a couple clunky writing places but for the most part I was cruising right along enjoying the ride until the author makes the whole thing be an Arab/Muslim terrorist plot with no real support for that being the case and it was just so pathetically done …
I got off to a slow start on this book and it took a few chapters before I fell in love with it. Very plausible realistic science based action fiction. The book is a non-stop roller-coaster of fun and action.
Despite the enhancements made to Hall, he is still susceptible to all the sames things the rest of us are. He may be incredible bright …
Sci-fi but not really. This book is a fascinating story of technology to come and the unintended conscience. As you read this you come to the realization that as crazy as it may seem, this is going to happen, and is not that far away. Characters are great and the book realistically takes the reader on a wild ride. Loved it!
I really liked this book; very adventurous & thought-provoking; great storyline. I didn’t appreciate the F-words sprinkled here & there, tho.
This book had so many twists and turns I couldn’t put it down
Loved the premise, could actually happen in future. Good entertainment, thought provoking.
Very, very good read. Caution: Once you start, you may find yourself trapped into reading it all in one sitting.
I enjoyed this book and the concept.
This is a page turner, hard to put down. The characters are wonderful Smart and witty Suspenseful Never know what will happen next Loved it
Loved this book. Great characters, unique premise, well paced and very exciting.
Interesting concept. Would be scary if it were possible. Story kept moving quickly with a few twists. Well worth reading.
I liked it but it was a little confusing at times.
I think I might have liked this book as a teenager, but as an adult I find the speculation about the consequences for humanity of telepathy, etc., to be poorly thought through and unimaginative. I also think the romantically-paired characters relate to each other like middle schoolers. Finally, I have a pet peeve: authors who want to show …
Really good read. I’ll read the rest of the series.
This was a well imagined future with strong characters and a solid plot. Gritty action and lots of tension. Good work! Had the story achieved a more satisfactory and final conclusion, it would have rated a five stars instead of four.
As always, Doug Richards gives us a great ride with well researched science prediction story. Always want more of his stories when it’s finished. Haven’t read a book of his yet that didn’t leave me wanting to have his next one in front of me
Excellent story line.
