A suspenseful mind trip
Grace just needed a job to pull her up out of the mess a failed marriage left her finances in. She didn’t bargain for a psycho mind hacker with designs on her reproductive abilities. Luckily, Grace intrigues the one man meant for her. She wasn’t meant to be the mission but soon she becomes all, including the mission for David.
A gripping thriller with vibrant characters that pull you into their world. This kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way. I can’t wait to find out what is next for David & Grace and company.
Wow! What a listen – painful yet beautiful storyline and incredible narration! Our main characters are Grace and David. Both of these main characters have experienced past hurts that have effected them deeply. Grace at times comes across as more vulnerable and David can be somewhat controlling, but all in all I was completely captivated by this unique storyline and the combination of characters that interwove throughout. I love the close knit family ties found with in and the HEA I was wondering how it would ever come to be…
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

This is a Spinetingling remote viewer Mystery Novel. The MCs are so very interesting to observe through this story. There is several families that this genetic Gene’s seem to come up in and they are considered vital to various government safety. Narrator does a Excellent job on the characters and storylines. I highly recommend this book
Amazing, thrilling, spine-tingling futuristic story
If I could have called out of work with a good conscience to keep reading this book, I would have! I LOVED it. In MIND WAVES we find out about an unknown bureau in the government, the CMU or Cognitive Mind Unit where its members can control people with their minds. In this way, they can detect the bad guys and what their intentions to be, or infiltrate minds to gain information, cooperation or implanting thoughts. David Jenkins is one of these people and in his realm, he is way above average. These abilities are carried on the genes of select families so in his extended family there are many people like him, most working for the CMU or retired from it.
Our story is about David and a woman we find out he has admired from afar, Grace Woznisky. Thing is, Grace has been divorced from a cheater and goes very slowly in new relationships. David wants more and faster. But at the same time as she meets David, she has been texting with a man who calls himself “Brain” to her “Gigi.” What we soon find out is that not all is what it seems to be and BAM, just like that, the story takes off. I’m happy that most of the reviewers saw David for the man he was: totally enamored of Grace but still a mind hacker so found it hard to turn off his abilities. This is well-written futuristic fiction, with emphasis on fiction. Some lesser-star reviews tended to see it differently. To each his own, but for me this was a sensational read and I’m looking forward to the book about Geneva and Rolf. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through BookSirens.
This psychological thriller is a real roller coaster ride of emotions. Mind reading and mind control are real, and for the most part the government has a lock on the folks who can do it, but when a rogue hacker decides to settle a long standing grudge, things get dicey, particular for the innocent artist who becomes a pawn in a deadly game.
Great reading, a little spice in the romance sub-plot and characters who are both engaging and believable make this one a great read you won’t want to leave… which is probably OK because you’ll likely be a bit nervous about going to sleep anyway after you discover the story line.
Not my usual go to book but I wanted to try something different and I am pleased I did, I found it a bit strange at first but it didn’t take long to get into the story. I really enjoyed this well written storyline, good characters that you will find easy to imagine and full of twists and turns.
I received this book for free from #booksirens and wanted to give an honest review.
MIND WAVES is the first book in the Mind Hackers series, and we learn of a unit in the US government that has people who can enter other people’s minds and retrieve information.
Our main female, Grace, is the most passive female character I’ve read in a long time. Everything just happens to her, she doesn’t initiate anything. She goes along with the flow, with an internal monologue accompanying most events. Our main male, David, is supposed to be a good guy, but I think the years of delving into people’s mind have left this a grey area (pardon the pun). The big bad is left as a mystery for most of the book, but it is pretty clear that he and Brains are connected.
I enjoyed this book, I did. There are parts I didn’t like, and I have loads of questions that remain unanswered about situations, people’s behaviour, etc., but I’m afraid my curiosity is not piqued enough for me to continue with this series.
If you are looking for a Science Fiction (ish) Mystery (ish) Romantic Suspense type book, then maybe this is the one for you.

Archaeolibrarian – I Dig Good Books!
Excellent fast paced and action packed read. Your brain and mind can do miraculous things. Received ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
A strangely compelling read.
I was drawn into this story and kept waiting to see what would happen next.
It surprised me with it’s sudden twists enough that I found it hard to put down.
The strength of it’s characters was amazing considering where most of the story was set.
I am curious to see what the next book brings as the ending to this one was nothing like I expected at all.
This author definitely held my attention enough to look for more.

Mind Waves
By: Amanda Uhl
Narrated by: Amanda Uhl
Amanda Uhl is a new to me author, and this book is amazing. If you like romantic suspense, this is for you. David is part of a governmental agency that is able to infiltrate minds. When he is with Grace, their connection is so strong, and their love growing. Now she is the target of a madman, and David needs to do whatever it takes to protect her. Even if it means erasing him from her mind. Is he strong enough to ward off the attacker and take the mind hacker down? How interesting and scary this book is all at the same time! Grace is amazing. I love her strength and trust. When things are not as they seem, and she has no memory of David, she still puts her trust in him. David is like superman. He knows exactly what he needs to do, and is there when he is has to be. And the craziness of a madman, all for power is just insane. It’s that thrilling suspense feel, wondering what is going to happen, will they catch him, the intricacy of the chase and the power of love. It’s a fantastic listen.
Amanda Uhl narrates her own book with a powerful performance. She is talented, with an array of voices and her acting ability is spot on. Able to tell the story as intended, I think the book truly comes alive.

A complicated plot. Mind reading craziness. Action. Romance. Danger. Secrecy. Family dynamics. Very entertaining. The Audible version is narrated by the author. She knows her book and performed it well.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from Story Origin.
I loved this book, right from the beginning I was sucked into the story and was on the the edge of my seat, this was action packed, full of suspense and romance. I loved the romance between Grace and David, and the stalking mind hacker was super creepy, I was kept guessing all the way through as to who else was involved, would it be someone close to them both betraying them. This was a gripping, addictive book and as soon as I’d finished I was checking to see if there was a sequel, I’m extremely disappointed that there isn’t, maybe later on? This book was also narrated by the author Amanda Uhl it was professional an expressive, a pleasant surprise.
This had a fantastic “high concept” element to it, with the way the mind waves worked, and how the conflict played out. I don’t want to give spoilers, but those aspects were spot on. The reason I gave this three stars instead of higher was because the female lead didn’t have a lot to do in the story. There are many very positive reviews of this book elsewhere, so it may have just been my interpretation. I would still recommend this book, just for the sci-fi/high-tech aspects, and would definitely read more from this author.
Grace Woznicky, once married to Greg Tilko, pitched her design to the CEO of a billion dollar corporation, Brice Gallant. Greg was an old friend of Brice, and got her the interview. Grace’s pitch fell flat thanks to another man, David Jenkins. Grace dubbed him Job Crusher.
Grace had been talking online to a guy, which they set up a meeting at a cafe. When Grace entered the establishment, she noted that the Job Crusher, was also there. She took a table to wait for Brains, when David, Job Crusher, approached her to offer her a job.
David Jenkins, works for the government in a secret group of the FBI. He and his family have been members of this group for a long time, and are referred to as Mind Hackers. David is drawn to her, and senses she has an ability. David and Grace are soon an item, except danger is close at hand.
There is a powerful unknown rogue hacker, that is after David, who once took someone very dear to him. David is in danger, and it is soon discovered that so is Grace. In order to protect Grace, David erases all her memories of them together.
They may have only one shot at nailing the rogue hacker, and it is learned that Grace may be the key to doing so. It might put her and David’s life on the line if things don’t go as planned.
I, absolutely loved the story! If you enjoy psychic, fast paced books, this is the book for you’ll want to pick up and read. Enjoyable read!
At first I was intrigued by the idea of mind readers working for the government to ensure its safety. It’s not that easy to understand how everything works with mind waves and energy waves, or that it’s possible to erase memories and add new ones, but it’s not necessary to understand every part of the process.
I continue to be fascinated by this, but David’s stalker-ish tendencies made me feel uncomfortable.
“If he couldn’t have Grace, he was damned if he would let anyone else have her either.”
The fact that he always reads her mind, although Grace begs him not to, is NOT okay. I also don’t really “feel” the connection between them, despite the author’s best efforts to provide romantic feelings. Maybe I can blame that on my own mind, since I pictured David as the android from the movie Prometheus as soon as David Jenkins was introduced! (My own fault, entirely!)
I appriciated the short chapters, it was very easy to continue to read. I was also invested in finding out how it would go with the rogue mind hacker. Had it not been for David’s rather uncomfortable (and not very romantic) behaviour this would have been a VERY good book in my opinion. But I can’t really get past his controlling tendencies.

David and Grace: a love and “mental” match!!! by Happy-Girl
I loved, loved, loved it!!!!
I like to read romances only with HEA and no cliffhangers to destress life, but my first love in life was science-fiction and fantasy…
In this book, I found a sweet love story and a science fiction theme and intrigue! The perfect book for me!
David is an out-of-chart mind reader that works with the US government CMU (Cognitive Mind Unit), and Grace is a wonderful girl with a divorce in her past and a career as an artist.
David’s also handsome and charming, and Grace has the right beauty and “mind-waves” to attract him!
In this story, there is also an evil character and mental fights! And we will discover some “mental strengths” Gracie has …
I won’t reveal the plot, but if you like these genres, both romances, and science-fiction, you can’t miss it!!
And now, I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series!
