** #1 New Release in Classic Humor Fiction **Abigail Apple is running late to meet her blind date when she’s pulled over for speeding. Unfortunately, the follow-the-rules cop doesn’t care that she’s late, let alone that she’s heartbroken because her favorite dog rescue is in danger of being closed. Now she has to meet her date with mud drying on her heels, dog hair covering her dress, and the … and the smell of a barn perfuming her hair. When she arrives, however, Abigail learns her handsome blind date is none other than the cop who pulled her over.
Abigail has no intention of staying until she learns Cooper Hill is heading a committee for the city that will award a six-figure donation to a charity of their choice. So, what’s a girl to do? Abigail decides a second date is the perfect way to convince Cooper to vote for the dog rescue. Soon, however, Abigail is less interested in Cooper’s vote than she is in his deep voice, kind heart, and tender touch.
Will this follow-the-rules cop and this follows-her-heart animal lover learn that despite poor first impressions, second chances can lead to love?

Million Dollar Date the first book in the Do-Over Date Series by Susan Hatler is a hilarious quick read book. This is a book that will have you laughing out loud. Million Dollar Date is a fun romance. I did not want to stop reading it was such a cute feel good romance. I was hooked from the first page. The book was well written and the characters believable. If you want a quick, funny and clean romance novel this is the book for you. I enjoyed it immensely.
OMG, this story was hilarious! There’s Abigail Apple…she may ‘seem’ flighty and scattered however she has a core of iron and knows what the world is about. She just sorta hides it under a bubbly exterior. And Cooper Hill. He is gorgeous, of course, and a definite rule follower. Not sure he knows how to bend because he is as rigid as they come. I don’t want to give too many details as the author tells it much better than I could ever do, but the first meeting between Abigail and Cooper? Laughed out loud. And then laughed some more. Both of these characters aren’t what they seem and they have their own backgrounds to work thru before they can get together. However, their connection is immediate, even if they ignore it at first. And the animals? Geez, they are adorable. Quick read, very touching and funny, and I recommend.
I really enjoyed this book.
It’s a feel good, & fun romance.
Abigail, has a blind date planned.
But her day’s not going as planned.
Cooper, is looking for a dog. After
exchanging emails with the pet store manager, he asked Abigail, for a date.
But Cooper’s evening did go as planned, either. I loved reading it from beginning
to end!!
Sweet and lovely story of kind hearted!
Abigail was way to crazy to end realistic.
Fun and romantic
Super cute and clean!
This is a short Novella by an author I like very much. 10 relatively short chapters.
I liked the basis of the story. I liked the end of the story
I had several credibility issues with the story
It had some amusing twists and deep thoughts.
This is a clean .. no sex .. story. No need to skip any pages.
I’ve been looking forward to this book because the premise seems fun but Abigail isn’t likeable. She’s immature and arrogant. The humor fell so flat because Abigail thinks she’s a quirky Elle Woods-type, but she’s completely shallow and self-absorbed. First she’s shocked when she can’t charm her way out of a speeding ticket, then she’s furious when they meet again and he has no regrets.
Cooper is sweet, fun and vulnerable but Abigail just gets worse, demanding on a second date only because she’s determined to spend that time manipulating him to award her favorite charity a huge cash prize. She’s disgusted that he supports a different charity over her fave and will do anything to get her way because she has no concept that she could ever be wrong about anything. I’m a huge dog lover but can’t relate to Abigail’s insistence that a dog shelter is more important than the homeless shelter for victims of domestic violence.
The relationship never really develops, it’s just Abigail whining and stomping her feet then suddenly he loves her. I was very disappointed.
Fun, cute and emotional read that will make you feel good.
What delightful story. During these days of covid and all precautions this is a happy story easy to lose yourself in the story. Yes i would recommend this book

I thoroughly enjoyed Abigail Apple and policeman Coopers’ story. It is well written and captivating and I loved the dogs and the happy ending
I haven’t laughed so hard in a book before. This one was hilarious. My stomach hurt, I had tears in my eyes, and I made weird squeaking noises every time I was trying to hold in the laugh. I don’t recommend reading this in a place where you need to be quiet or where people will be judging you for grinning like an idiot the whole time. I can’t recommend this book enough, it was amazing.
I will say…some people might find the main character a little annoying. I didn’t have much of a problem with her, but I know other people might find her too perky or ditzy. I think her personality added to the humor of the story. You will either love her or hate her. I choose to love her.
I liked that dogs were the main focus of the story. I just love them so much and since rescues are near and dear to my heart, I was able to relate to the main character. I wanted the same thing she did – for the rescue to be saved.
I would recommend this book to almost anyone who likes romance. The story was short, I was able to read it in one sitting.
A wonderful very well written entertaining story. This engaging opposites attract blind date romance is entertaining with humor, and misunderstandings in an intriguing romance. The characters are interesting, well developed, and have amazing chemistry. I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC.
This is a fun installment to the the do over date series and I really enjoyed reading this story. Abigal is going to meet a blind date and gets pulled over for speeding but finds out her blind date is someone she has met. I loved the way this story unfolds and the way the characters interact in this story makes this a very worthwhile read. This can be read as a stand alone and it is a clean read.

Cooper Hill is a cop who says what the money goes to that has been donated to the city. He likes Abigail and would do anything for her however will he help her cause or give the money elsewhere?

I really liked how Abigail was so passionate about Rescue at the Barn and saving it and oh boy did I laugh when she met her date for the first time. Abigail has passion and drive but sometimes she needs to slow her roll and think of others and well communicate, in saying that this wouldn’t have been as a fun of a read if she did that! lol She is the perfect match for Cooper who has a lot more depth to him than the by the rules cop that Abigail thinks he is at first. This is a fun read that leaves you with a smile and happy heart at the end.

I love the personalities of these characters and the humor in the story. There are definitely serious parts and life lessons to be learned, but Hatler always wraps them up in the most enjoyable and easy to read storylines.
