** #1 New Release in Classic Humor Fiction **Abigail Apple is running late to meet her blind date when she’s pulled over for speeding. Unfortunately, the follow-the-rules cop doesn’t care that she’s late, let alone that she’s heartbroken because her favorite dog rescue is in danger of being closed. Now she has to meet her date with mud drying on her heels, dog hair covering her dress, and the … and the smell of a barn perfuming her hair. When she arrives, however, Abigail learns her handsome blind date is none other than the cop who pulled her over.
Abigail has no intention of staying until she learns Cooper Hill is heading a committee for the city that will award a six-figure donation to a charity of their choice. So, what’s a girl to do? Abigail decides a second date is the perfect way to convince Cooper to vote for the dog rescue. Soon, however, Abigail is less interested in Cooper’s vote than she is in his deep voice, kind heart, and tender touch.
Will this follow-the-rules cop and this follows-her-heart animal lover learn that despite poor first impressions, second chances can lead to love?

Puppies, PowerPoint, and Pumps!
After reading this story I need to rest. Whew! Abigail has so much energy it’s almost over the top. Just following her stream of consciousness is like a Rorschach Test. But, along with her tiny rescue dog named Banana, she has an enormous heart of gold that makes me want her to be my friend because I know she will go above and beyond for me.
Abigail’s love interest, Officer Cooper, first flirted together online then met for dinner (after he stopped and gave her a speeding ticket but they didn’t know it was going they were going to be each other’s dinner date). They are definitely an opposites attract type couple who even though they want to do right by puppies who need homes, they disagree on funding. This sets up some righteously funny Abigail PowerPoint scenes.
This book is just another example of the Romcom prowess of author, Susan Hatler so by all means I’m recommending this book for your reading giggles and enjoyment. Peace.

Balance
It seems balance is sorely lacking in the lives of our hero and heroine. He’s a no-nonsense by-the-book cop and she’s an over-emotional do-gooder dynamo. But both are essentially good, caring, and loving people and charmingly overwrought. A nice, sweet, funny little love story!
It’s a little Keystone Cops, or maybe it’s just Murphy’s Law, and a whole lot Hallmark. I adored Cooper. I’m sure a large part of that is simply because he’s a man in uniform, but he’s also got a lock on all the traits I love in the best book boyfriends: noble, honorable, caring, funny. Abigail drove me crazy most of the time. For someone who had been on such a staid, “straight and narrow” life path, she sure turned out to be awfully flighty. All of my misgivings about the heroine aside, this pair of opposites are a perfect match. They’ve seen the world from each other’s point of view and are able to relate. And when all’s said and done, being able to see eye to eye is all that truly matters.

Abigail and Cooper were so much fun to read about. The characters were funny and unique and the story was interesting and so much fun. I loved that the story added important humanitarian issues that were brought to the attention of the reader. Fun and cute story

After the worst afternoon ever, Abigail shows up for her blind date. The day goes from bad to worse – it’s the cop who just gave her a ticket. She’s a free spirit – he follows rules to the letter. And he wants to see her again. She needs him to vote for her friend’s dog rescue to receive $100k in charity donations so they can stay open. She realizes that she likes him, too, even though they’re complete opposites. As they spend time together, they realize just how much they have in common. Love this cute story. It was hilarious, as is laugh out loud funny. The story was quirky, the characters were fun, who doesn’t love a hot cop with a cute dog?!! First read from this author – looking forward to the next book in the series.

Can you fall for the cop that ticketed you?
Million Dollar Date is another witty and laugh out loud story by Susan Hatler.
I am not sure if there is anything else that needs to be said without giving away the story but just know that this is a hilarious book so if you don’t want people looking at you funny when you do your ugly laugh then you better make sure you read this one in private, as you will definitely be laughing so hard it will be ugly!
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Great story!
OMG! I laughed. I cried. I fell in love with Abigail and Cooper. Two more opposite people that are made for each other. This was my first read by Susan and definitely won’t be the last.
What do you get when you mix a stern, by-the-book cop and a footloose dog lover? A wonderfully perfect story… especially because dogs and puppies are involved. Cooper and Abigail have a real rocky beginning and unfortunately seems to be the theme of their relationship. Yet it’s that very push and pull of their time getting acquainted that leads to some funny and awkward moments. Warning. When you finish reading, you may have a strong urge to adopt a dog.

This is the first book in the Do-Over Date series. I thought this was a sweet and delightful read. I truly enjoyed this story and the characters Abigail and Cooper. This was an easy to read, well written and clean and funny read. It kept my interest through out the story and it has a good story line. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

Once again Ms Hatler has woven a delightful tale of grief, perceived betrayal, Love and humour that tugs at ones heartstrings. Everything flows together to the hoped for ending and meets my expectations of why I read!

A lovably emotional heroine and a terrific tale (tail!?)
What a darling story, with a quirky, enthusiastic heroine who just cannot stop pushing her favorite cause and a handsome cop who turns from nemesis to ….? I loved every page, which included heaps of humor and some touching reminiscing, with lots of licks of love from some lucky rescue dogs! I need to find me some more Susan Hatler romances, stat!

This was my first book by Susan Hatler and it’s an amazing book! Her plot, character and word building are off the charts! It’s a fast funny hysterical read that you won’t be able to put down. It will have people asking you what your laughing at, I did in the middle of a doctor’s office. I won’t give out spoilers but Abigaill is running late for a blind date and is already upset when pulled over by a cop. She try’s flirting with him but to no avail. Does she make her date on time? Who is Abigail’s date? You need to grab your copy to find out these questions and if Abigail gets her HEA!!! I highly recommend this book!!! I LOVED it!!!

Worst blind date for Abigail. Running late after hearing the sad news about the dog rescue closing, Abigail winds up with a speeding ticket. Naturally, her blind date was the officer who wrote the ticket.
Everyone should be so lucky that the hot cop turns out to be a philanthropist and a dog lover at heart – if Abigail can get past the getting a ticket en route to prepping for their date.
For me worst blind date is a toss up between the guy watching the hot gay waiter and flirting turning out to be my blind date – I was missing several attributes the waiter had – and the guy who stood me and his mom up so the two most important women in his life could meet. Such an awkward third date when you end up dining with his mom solo.
Sigh. Not enough dog lovers out there- but great fun reading about these two!

This book was a really fun read with great character and storyline development that captivated me right from the start! The interaction and chemistry between Abigail and Cooper, who were two completely opposite characters was very entertaining and kept me totally enthralled until the very end!
Oh my I laughed from page one! A hot cop, an exuberant and passionate ex lawyer and of course Banana!
Thoroughly enjoyable read. Loved the characters.
A delightful romantic comedy
Laughter, tears, misunderstandings, and puppies!
Susan Hatler packed all the above into Million Dollar Date, the first book of her new series, Do-Over Date, that promises to delight her readers. I just might have a thing for this author’s rom-com/chick-lit stories. So perhaps I’m biased. Then again, as I write this review, it is still twelve days away from the release and this title is #87 in the Classic Humor Fiction category. So I must not be alone in this.
I like books that make me laugh. And smile. And give me the invincible feeling I get when I’ve finished reading a novel because everything about it was just right.
I appreciated Abigail’s passion and the way she leads with her heart and not her head. As you can imagine, this created some interesting circumstances!
The humorous blind date where Abigail finds out the amazing guy she has been e-mailing with about puppies is the same robocop who gave her a ticket earlier in the day made me laugh. I could just see them glaring at each other as they rushed through the meal.
This witty novella is filled with snappy repartee. And puppies. If you enjoy romantic comedy, you won’t want to miss Million Dollar Date.

I was given a copy of this book. I was not required to give a favorable review nor was any money received for this review. All comments and opinions are my own.
I loved this book. This is the first book I have read by this author, and I have definitely become a fan.
The story centers around Abigail Apple and Cooper Hill.
She is a gal out to safe the world , colors outside the box, and this time, wants to save the animal rescue facility where she volunteers. Cooper is the “by the book” cop that not only gives her a speeding ticket but later discovers is the guy she was going to meet face to face for the first time after “chatting” online.
The dialogue was clever. At times you’ll laugh out loud, at others your heart will go out for these two seemingly opposites. Both with a big heart. While one displays that heart to the world, the other one keeps it well protect in their heart.
This sweet, clean romance is one not to be missed.
Did I mention I loved it ???
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
How bad can a blind date go? Abigail is about to find out. Abigail and Cooper’s first meeting is pretty funny but their second was well – you gotta read to find out. She thinks with her heart but thinks he doesn’t. I loved Cooper and the ending is so sweet. Plus there are puppies!!!! Who doesn’t love puppies!!!!
I thought that this romance was simply wonderful. The story is highly entertaining and the characters are perfection. With a great blend of humor and heart, Abigail and Cooper’s romance will have you smiling so hard your face will hurt and laughing until your sides ache. Heartmelting, zany and the best kind of crazy, if you need your mood lifted or just want a book that will make your day, this is just what you are looking for.
-‘“Sometimes opposites attract.”’-
What do you get when you cross a lives-by-the-rules cop and a flies-by-the-seat-of-her-pants and wears-her-heart-on-her-sleeve slightly ditzy woman? Loads of laughs and tonnes of fun!
-‘“No way,” I said, shaking my head. “That can’t be my date.”
“Why not?” she asked, stepping closer to me. “He’s good looking and he was really sweet when he came in.”
“He’s a robot,” I said, stating the sad fact.’-
Abigail Apple is bound and determined to save her friend’s dog rescue and she can’t understand why people aren’t trying to save it with her. She will do everything in her power to make it happen. What she doesn’t realize is that being herself and having friends in the right places is sometimes all you need.
I had so much fun reading this book! It was light and fast-paced and the characters were endearing. I’m looking forward to reading more in this series. I recommend this book for a fun escape from reality and a great read.
