I was granted, via B00|{$P®0UT, an ARC of Susan Hatler’s “Million Dollar Date (Do-Over Date Series: Second Chance Clean Romances Book 1).” I recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time… Happy Reading!
This is a light easy to read tale with a very motivated Abigail doing all she can to save a dog rescue. Cooper, the cop caught her speeding, is on the committee for a grant which would keep the rescue afloat. So they date & she’s hoping he’ll put in a good word for the dogs.
However as all tales go all is not as it seems. So will Cooper save the day & be a knight in shining armour?

I loved this book, and intend to read all of Susan Hatler’s books! Totally laughing out loud over and over, the writing was excellent, characters wonderful. So happy to find this author and her delightful sense of humor.
Abigail is stopped for speeding while on her way to a blind date, by the blind date himself, Cooper, the officer. Loved the characters, the dogs, the banter and sass, and the romance that brings them together. Abigail is trying to help save the dog rescue and the town is about to give their yearly donation to just one group. Cooper is on the decision committee. The romance hits some pretty rocky bumps, but once all the secrets are told, some amazing things happen. Loved the ending at the rescue open house.

The story involves puppies, a dog rescue and an over the top love story. I liked reading this story, it follows in the style of the other stories in the series… short, sweet and over the top romantic. I liked Abigail and Cooper and the fact that they were two soft hearts for their causes. All in all it was a pleasurable and feel-good story that I enjoyed reading.

I LOVED this opposites attract romance. The only thing better than a well written romance is one with dogs!! Abigail is a free spirit and Cooper is a by the books cop. There first date is an epic and hilarious disaster. The only thing they have in common is their stubbornness. I really enjoyed reading their story. They make such a great couple even in their differences.
Silly Rom-Com With a Dog Rescue Center
This is a short and sweet romantic comedy. This story takes place in Sacramento, CA. At the heart of the story is a dog rescue center that rehomes homeless dogs, among other things. Our main couple meets over a shared love of dogs, but it is not all smooth sailing. The story is not very long, but not a word is wasted. As in all of these books, the reader knows how it will end, but the journey is all of the fun. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprout and this is my honest review.
First impressions are often extremely far off reality. What you see is often not all the truth. Sometimes you have to follow your heart.
Good characters, fun and quick read.

Laugh out loud, sexy, exciting and action packed adventure filled with witty and engaging charters, heart racing twists, emotional turns and thrilling passion. Was a highly entertaining and heartwarming journey.
I loved this story. It is the kind that you can identify with the characters and immerse yourself in the story. Very well written and characters to win the heart make this book a must read.
This is Abigail and Cooper’s story. Abigail had some bad news dumped on her, she was running late for a blind date and was pulled over for speeding. Officer Cooper did not care about these things. Abigail makes it her date rendezvous only to find it is with Office Cooper. Abigail finds out that Office Cooper is the committee for a donation to a charity. So does she get close to him for the donation to the refuge or because of who he is? I found humor at times and the quirkiness of Abigail added to the story. It is a good story with good characters and well written. I would recommend this book.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This was a laugh out loud romance that was hard to put down. Some couples get second chances, but a do over for a blind date was new. Their first impressions of each other before the date were horrible. They are both two very different people. Their attraction to each other might be strong enough despite the differences. When they start to get to know each other, things fit better than they ever expected. I thought the storyline was well written. The characters were great together. They pulled you in smiling and kept you there to the end. I look forward to the next book in the Do Over series

I loved this story. It was new and different but at the same time cute and traditional. I have read so many books by Susan and she never fails to succeed. All her romances are clean, with a full story no strings left untied. They are funny and have character building. What I mean by that is that both characters learn from their situations and really are developed throughout the novel. I love how there are a lot of characters but it’s not overwhelming. This story had certain points that are really exceptional and make you really feel for the character. It was easy to connect and understand the characters.
This story follows Abigail. She had a really bad day learning that her friend’s pet rescue would close if she doesn’t get a donation of some sort. All the dos would go to the pound and not have that sunny, happy lifestyle any longer. She also has a date to get to. On the way there, she’s crying and speeding. That attracts the attention of a cop. That cop doesn’t give her a warning instead of giving her a ticket and taking some of her valuable time which he could have used in getting dressed. Now she doesn’t have time, and she goes to her date with messy clothes, red-rimmed eyes, and a lot of dog hair. Turns out her date is that cop AND he is the person who decides where the city funds for charity could go to. Abigail has a plan, to get him to give money to the rescue.

A Sweet rom-com to entertain you! She manages a pet store but her male social life is a disaster and she’s a bit flaky. She is going all out to help her friend keep her dog rescue open. To do that, she gets tangled up with a by the rules cop involved in fundraising. They both share their emotional baggage with each other. Will the dogs and puppies get to stay put in their loving environment or will they have to leave? Cute and entertaining!

This author writes the best fun and crazy books ever! Abigail Apple was a sweetheart of a character who is full of love and compassion and wants only to save her friend’s dog rescue. Her initial meeting with Cooper when he gives her a ticket for speeding is memorable, to say the least! Now she is late for her blind date – except that when she gets there, her handsome blind date is the very cop who pulled her over! She would have dumped him immediately, but she discovers Cooper Hill is heading a committee for the city that will award a six-figure donation to a charity of their choice. So a second date might give her a shot at saving the dog rescue!
This book was very entertaining and lots of fun. The dialog was well-written, the characters likable even when grumpy! Abigail is a sweetie totally focused on her dog rescue project; Cooper is a straight-laced rigid stickler who follows rules to the letter. Can such completely opposite types fall for each other?
You will love this author’s books. They are always so genuine and capture the characters’ feelings perfectly, pulling the reader right in for a big group hug! Don’t miss this one – it will have you laughing and happy for the rest of the day!
This is a great read with an awesome storyline that has well developed and engaging characters that have lots of chemistry. The smooth flow of the storyline makes for a good reading time.

Sweet and funny love story. Abigail was such a sweetheart. I loved how messed up she always was. Covered in dog hair, challenging Cooper, leading with her heart. Imagine running late for a date with someone you met online. Someone you think is fun and just like you, but then when you get to the restaurant it is the by the book, robotic, good-looking cop who just gave you a ticket and made you late for your date. WITH HIM!!! Their first date was so funny. I loved it. But then Abigail finds out Cooper might be able to grant her friend money to keep a dog rescue open. She agrees to another date, but finds out she really likes him. Now she’s in trouble. What if he doesn’t vote for the dog park, and gives the money to another charity?
