Who could ever fall in love with a cold-blooded killer like me?The answer is no one. That’s why I’m giving up trying to find a woman who wants me for more than one rowdy night. I’m determined to find a wife instead. If I buy a mail order bride, then she’ll have no choice but to stick around. Besides, I have plenty of money to spend thanks to all the successful Savage Kings MC legal and outlaw … Savage Kings MC legal and outlaw enterprises.
Kira’s the perfect woman, and she’s just as eager as I am to tie the knot. I didn’t ask why she needed half a million dollars; and honestly, I didn’t really care.
Maybe I should have.
A few weeks after Kira becomes my wife, I find myself in the middle of her family’s fallout with the Russian mafia.
When I shoot first and ask questions later, I unknowingly drag the entire MC into the crossfire.
Now the Russians are pissed and are out for blood. But they’ve screwed with the wrong man this time.
The Kings will do whatever it takes to protect their own, no matter the consequences.
And now that Kira is mine, I’ll gladly kill anyone who tries to hurt her.
Miles can be read as a standalone but the preferred reading order for this series is:
King’s Road
Chase
Abe
Torin
War
Maddox
Dalton
Reece

This was a good quick read that I enjoyed from the start. Miles’s story was not what I was expecting for what it was but it worked for him. His story, told from dual POV can be read as a standalone story. His and Kira’s story was well written with chemistry. The pair learn early in their marriage that communication is key in their relationship all before the action breaks out. Their story moved along well as the couple work through their issues. I enjoyed the return of some of the characters from the previous books and I was sorry when this book ended.
ENJOYABLE & SMOOTH READ
What’s not to love from LANE. Could NOT put this book down, wanted more. This was absolutely amazing. A guy thinking he is not worth anything cause of his past & a girl looking for her future. They help each other out more then they know. She breaks through his black heart which he never thought could happen.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I loved this whole series. This one brought a smile to my face. Miles is a loner in his MC. He wants a wife and he doesn’t care if he has to pay for her. Kyra’s parents owe the Russian mob money. The only way for her to help them is to sell herself to be married. Miles answers Kyra’s add and he is happy she does. Their marriage starts off rocky because they assume what the other is thinking without saying what exactly they are really saying.
This book was amazing from the start, it was full of passion and action and I couldn’t put it down. It was good to catch up with other characters from the series.

4*
Miles is surrounded by his brothers in mc but with them all settling down he wants the same thing.
He’s not sure he will ever get it due to his past so comes up with an idea but will he get what he wants?
Kira is desperate to save her parents home & business after the fire so she makes an offer to save her family but will it be in time & enough to work?
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Book 8 in the Savage Kings MC series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone, told in dual POV with HEA. Each book is about a different brother of the Savage Kings MC. Secondary characters are the same throughout the series. I really enjoyed this one! Miles is a killer and he doesn’t believe he has a heart or anything someone could love. He is lonely and seeing his married brothers happy he decides to buy a mail order bride. Kira signs up to be a mail order bride to get cash fast to help her parents out of a bad situation. Once lack of communication and jumping to conclusions about what each other wants is out of the way their relationship heats up!! I highly recommend!
Well, Miles certainly took me by surprise! As the killer of the group, he’s got some baggage he’s been carrying around…at least when it comes to sharing his past with Kira. Despite his “job” he’s a bit naïve at times, a little clueless, but I actually liked him all the more for it. He also appeared lonely and my heart kinda hurt for him because he didn’t think he’d ever have what his brothers had found.
This couple have some communicating to do but then again, they didn’t even know each other when they got married. But once they begin to stumble through their first attempts to talk, things began to smooth out for them both. Unfortunately, that’s when the real trouble starts.
I loved watching Miles fall in love, even though he didn’t have a clue that’s what he felt. He just wanted to make Kira smile and that made me like him all the more. Like the other Kings before him, his protective instincts rise up when needed and the little spin at the end regarding his killer status was a nice little addition to the story.
This has some MC action and we get to see the brothers as well as their wives which was nice. The steam level was high during the smexy times but this one isn’t filled with nothing but bedroom (or elsewhere) scenes. There is a great build to their relationship and I enjoyed watching them get to know each other and fall in love.
3.75 stars–MILES is the eight instalment in the contemporary, adult SAVAGE KINGS MC erotic, MC romance series co-authored by Lane Hart and DB West. This is thirty-four year old, former US Marine sniper and MC member Miles Taylor, and twenty-three year old Kira’ story line. MILES can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary. There is a slight cross-over with the author’s OUT OF THE CAGE series.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Kira and Miles) MILES follows the ‘mail-order bride’ in exchange for money between thirty-four year old, former US Marine sniper and MC member Miles Taylor, and twenty-three year old Kira. Miles is lonely, and his desperation for a wife or significant other grows with each new relationship in the Savage Kings MC. Finding an available bride on line brings Miles up close and personal with a twenty three year old woman named Kira, a woman who is desperate to pay down her father’s debt to the Russian Mob. What ensues is the building but fractured relationship between Miles and Kira, and the potential fall-out as the mob targets Miles and the Savage Kings MC.
Miles Taylor battles with sins of the past, and believes no woman will accept the darkness within. Completely oblivious as to the how and what of a long-term relationship, but fiercely protective, Miles struggles as a husband and partner to the woman with whom he will fall in love. Kira only wants to help her struggling parents but a debt owed to the Russian Mob finds our heroine caught between her head and her heart. Never expecting to fall in love, Kira is suddenly thrown into the world of the Savage Kings MC when the mob demands more than her father can afford.
The relationship between Kira and Miles is one of immediate attraction but a relationship based upon desperation and lust. Miles has no idea how to be a husband or provider; Kira struggles with the possibility of a loveless marriage to a man she doesn’t know. Their lack of communication and misunderstanding is inevitable and heart breaking. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful secondary and supporting characters including many of the previous storyline couples. We are introduced to Kira’s parents: and Ivan (Out of the Cage #2), head of the East Coast Irish and Italian mafia.
MILES is a story of family and blood; of desperation and vengeance; of loneliness and longing. The premise is energetic; the characters are dynamic ; the romance is spicy and spirited. MILES is dramatic and passionate story in the Savage Kings MC series.
Miles by Lane Hart and D.B. West a five-star read that you would go miles for. This is number eight in the Savage Kings MC series but they can be read as stand-alone as each one covers a different brother, they do pop up in each other’s story but they so encompassing that they will encapsulate your emotions as you read that the other brothers just fade into the background, like each brother holds his own individual church, they each speak with their own compelling voice. Miles has always been the quiet brooding dark soul that would stand in the corner observing, the one you would avoid if you were alone as he mad he heckles on the back of your neck raise, he makes your Goosebumps rise, at least that’s they way he is until you know him more. Kira brings out a different side of him, and I am so glad we got to see that side, his story is compelling and brings Ivan back into my life, so for that Miles will stay as one of my fave Kings. Thank you to the pair of you for bringing the Kings to life and giving us your great words.
I loved this book. Miles was a man looking for the woman that would become his “old lady” in every sense of the word. He was not prepared when he met Kira. He had never had a girlfriend or relationship so jumping into this one was a cultural shock. Kira was trying to help her family out of a sticky situation when Miles gave her an offer she couldn’t refuse. This book was great. The characters were well developed and the story line flowed effortlessly.

He’s ready to settle down and she needs to help her parents. A perfect match right that would be true if the mafia was not on their tails. This action packed MC will have you so caught up you will be sorry when the last page comes. Miles and Kira really burns up the pages as their passion and drama ignites all over this story.

A great read! It seems Miles is the big, tough, bad biker who isn’t getting as much action with the ladies as his married brother’s so he’s decided to buy a wife of his own. His chosen bride Kira, is a sweet young woman who needs the large payment of money to help her family out of a tricky situation they are in.
Miles was a crazy read, lots of laughs, some suspense with action, plenty of “he’s so sweet” moments, steamy action and love. I loved this story and Miles filled my heart to burst. He was a bit of a plonker really…what a crazy idea…but I couldn’t help but love him.
Another epically GREAT romance from the SAVAGE KINGS MC!
Once again, the writing team of Hart and West have claimed my heart and my admiration with “MILES,” their newest MC offering. While this may be book eight in the SAVAGE KINGS MC series, it is a total standalone with lots of the grit, STEAM, and surprises that the readers of this prodigious writing team have come to expect. “MILES” is everything an MC romance should offer and so much more . . . The book blurb does a fine job of outlining the basic story, so I will focus on what the book blurb cannot say. First and foremost, Hart and West have a wonderfully descriptive prose that is easily read and makes the reader feel like that proverbial fly on the wall. Characterization is a slow burn to the realization as to why Miles sees himself as nothing more than a worthless killer with no heart and assumes his new bride sees him as such. Kira, whose inner beauty has an outer glow, is by far one of the strongest book heroines ever. Completely misjudged, she uses her strength to help those she loves in the most fundamental way, and I am sure that anyone who reads this phenomenal tale will feel the same admiration for Kira. Finally, Hart and West have that amazing ability to reveal just enough information to their readers to keep them on the edge of their seats and reading pages as quickly as possible. Tensions of all kinds are kept at such a high level that real life issues tend to fade as readers focus to find out what happens to the characters they have taken to heart! And if other readers are anything like me, they come to end of the novel with the ambivalence of realizing that the end also means that one must wait until the next SAVAGE KINGS MC novel is released. I voluntarily read an advanced copy of “MILES” and this is my voluntary and HONEST review. I STRONGLY suggest that you get your copy of “MILES” by Lane Hart and D.B. West today! Happy pages!
*Spoiler alert* Miles feels that nobody could ever love a killer like him….WRONG! He decides to try a mail order bride and gets more than he was hoping for..Kira is warm and loving and a good woman..They have some communication issues in the beginning, but once those are resolved, things go a bit smoother for the couple. This book is a very quick read. I read it in one setting. Hart & West are a great combination once again…Can’t wait for SAX now.
How to be a husband, Miles style.
Miles is the least likely candifor husband material. He’s MC through a d through, tatted, not the brightest, not the baddest, funny and more than rough around the edges. He’s looking for an arranged mail order bride, because he’s kind of a beast.
Kira is young and loves her parents and to save her father from Zeno and the Russian mob, she enters into a contact marriage with Miles to pay her father’s debt.
Miles needs to learn to be a husband, a partner and definitely needs to work on his communication skills. But he’s funny, foxy and he’ll do anything to protect his new wife. He even gets her a puppy!
Sigh.
Highly recommend.

Oh yes! Miles was everything and more than what I expected! He is our 8th Savage King and he truly wears that Savage King title! He is ruthless when it comes to protecting what he deems his to protect. Miles also has a side to him that is sweet and caring, but you won’t see it unless he shows you. Oh man does he ever show it with Kira! The woman he finds to fill a hole in his life. Kira is so much more than just a place holder though, and Miles wasn’t quite prepared for that. This story brought out evvery side of Miles and showed us that everyone has a dark side to go with the light, no matter how overpowering either side is. I loved Miles for his rough and protective side and Kira for her fierce devotion to those she chooses! I can’t wait for the next Savage King to steal mu heart!
Miles is finally here! After getting to know him in Reece(Savage Kings #7) I was really curious what made him such an angry man. This book answered all of my questions and shined a new light onto the darkness within this man. Miles isn’t going to be for everyone. He’s not a sweet talker and he’s not a joker but he is looking for someone that he can commit to and that will commit to him. Enter Kira. She’s in a bad place because the Russian mob is after her family and she will do anything to protect them even entering herself as a mail order bride. Miles excels as one thing, protection. He will protect Kira at any cost. This was a fun book even with all the dark undercurrents. It’s told from dual POV and it’s got angst, steam and a few laughs. I recommend reading the series in order due to the interconnected characters and ongoing stories. Enjoy!
Lane has done it again…. we’ve been given a book that you just can’t put down because the storyline is intriguing and captivating! Miles is the ex-marine bad boy that that wants a wife but feels he doesn’t deserve love because of his darkness. Kira is the sweet young woman who wants nothing more than to help her parents out of bad situation they are in with the Russian Mafia. Kira’s solution…. sell herself and marry whomever answers her ad. If you’re looking for a read that will have you on the edge of your seat with suspense, laughing the next moment, hoping for love and an HEA then you MUST read this book!
Miles, a cold hearted killer with no emotion, wants to get married and have a family, he thinks no woman will want him so he decides to buy a wife. Kira is having problems with the Russian mafia so to save her family she decides to marry for money and the intrigue begins. This book was so good I was sad it ended!
