The sea didn’t have her long enough to ravage her broken body. Her beauty is still intact, her pale lips slightly parted in the memory of her last breath, her dark hair clinging to her face in long, wavy strands. Every inch of her skin bears testimony of her terrifying fate at the hands of the man who never expected her to be found. “I know I am reading a Leslie Wolfe thriller when I feel chills … thriller when I feel chills run up and down my spine. She sets the scene, develops her characters and teases the reader’s senses enough that hers are the only thrillers you want to read. Pick this one up today.” – Cheryl Pompilii, five stars review on Amazon.

A Highly Recommended Read!!
Read in one night.
This is book # 7 in the Tess Winnett series.
It can be read as a stand alone.
I volunteered to read Mile High Death.
Thanks to the author for the opportunity.
My opinion is voluntary and my own.
Mile High Death (Special Agent Tess Winnett #6) was a great read by Leslie Wolfe. The body of a brutally murdered woman is recovered from the Gulf of Mexico. FBI Special Agent Tess Winnett is asked to assist with profiling the murderer. Tess is looking into the fact that this could be the work of a serial killer. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.
This case is up in the air!
A young woman’s body washes up on the beach and the coroner’s report leads agent Tess Winnett to suspect her death is only the tip of a very large iceberg. What better place to dump bodies than in the Gulf where sea life will make quick work of any evidence.
This is an intriguing crime thriller with some good plot twists. Any armchair detective is going to love this story.
Leslie Wolfe has crafted another Tess Wynette novelette that has as much or more impact as a number of full-length novels I have read. This action-packed rollercoaster ride follows Tess hunting a serial killer in a series of events that held me spellbound until the final sentence.
The master of suspense is back with another great read. I really love Leslie Wolfe’s books especially the Tess Winnett series, she is such a strong character that doesn’t take an prisoners. I was a little bit disappointed with this book only because it didn’t seem very long or I read it to quickly. Either way the story didn’t lose any of its impact and moves along very quickly and skilfully and I loved it. The story is told by the killer as he hunts his next victim and by Tess as she tries to stop him, I think this works well as it gives you an insight into what the killer is thinking and why he does what he does. For anyone familiar with this series Ferdella, Donovan and even Cat are sadly missing from this book, so no banter between agents but Tess’s skill more than makes up for it. I can’t wait for the next book but please can it be a bit longer.
When the body of a woman is found floating in the sea, FBI agent Tess Winnett is called in because there is no way this is the killers first victim. With very little evidence to go on and only the idea that there must be other bodies Tess must retrace her footsteps and hope that leads to finding out who the other victims are. First she will have to work out how she died. Will questioning her work colleagues lead them to a lead? With her boss acting shifty and the hotel she stayed at while on a business trip bing less than helpful Tess feels time is running out for another girl.
Ms Wolfe has me on the edge of my seat, hardly breathing until we get to the conclusion.
A woman found floating in the gulf. The medical examiner found that she had fallen from a distance into the water. Tess Winnett, FBI, is assigned the case. It turns into more than one. They have a serial killer. This is a fast moving story line with a thrilling conclusion.
MILE HIGH DEATH…Leslie Wolfe
She had always been brave, determined, unyielding. A presentation for a client, then he wooed her before she went back to Miami. He was married, she could barely think around him, then the nightmare began.
A body floating in the Gulf of Mexico, the bones all broken.
Tess was a FBI agent, along with Michowski to figure out what happened.
He asks her to profile the killer, a man with unresolved anger, asserting power over his victim, which he doesn’t have in his everyday life.
The force of some type of vehicle caused this.
With the author’s books she gives us plots, that are unusual and how devastating the victim died. The characters of the two agent was good, they worked well together, giving feedback on their thoughts
Another winner for the author.
