Weird twisted bad guy in this one, but a good story. Very original. Great characters.
This was a very enjoyable book to read. It was different than others in that the male figure knows he did something wrong and is trying to do the best he can to make up for it. Don’t ya hate when men make a mistake, big or small, and they act like it was nothing and won’t be accountable for it? Not his male. He knows he did wrong and has been trying to make it right. Great characters, dual prospective and great story line.
Miguel is a lion shifter from a pack that is not good, to say the least. The only good thing about the pack is Daisy. They have been friends since they were kids. When he leaves the pack the only thing he misses is Daisy, but it is for the best. He lives on the street until a man gives him a job. He now makes money so he isn’t starving and living on the street in rags. As things get better financially with him, he starts to wonder what it is the man does with what he brings him. When he realizes what is being done, he breaks out all the captives that he can. One of the captives is Daisy. He spends one night with her and then he leaves because he knows he isn’t good enough for her. He moves on and joins a Hockey teem of fellow shifters.
Daisy has always loved Miguel even when they were kids. She missed him when he left the pack, but understood why he did it. When they see each other later in the city, he turns her over to his boss. Then he starts wondering what his boss is doing with these women. He breaks them out, spend the night with Daisy and leaves. Five years later when she sees him playing hockey, she knows that she needs to tell him the truth about his son, and would like a chance to be with him again.
Someone is out to kidnap their son. They have got to figure out who it is and try to stop them.

Second Chance if they can overcome the dark forces working against them
Miguel’s Secret Cub is an well written short story about lion shifters that also includes witches, one very evil wizard and of course potions. The story of Daisy and Miguel is interesting and the characters are written with some nice depth and backstory to them. They grew up together until Miguel ran away with them crossing paths again only for Miguel to run once again. Now it is four years later and Daisy finds Miguel who is a hockey player now. Will they have a second chance to be together as they are fated to be? Or will darker forces be successful in working against them?
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Miguel is a lion shifter and plays hockey in a shifter league. He has done things in his past that he can’t forgive. One of them was done to Daisy the girl he loves, his mate. Daisy finds Miguel to let him know he has a son. He knows he’s found his ever after but his past comes to take it away from him. I really enjoyed this book.
