Really enjoyed this one. All of the characters are great. Loved their different personalities. Well written. Trying to teach someone to believe in magic is hard work. Can’t wait for Rafe and Cecily’s story next.
Ever practical
These dragons are sure to make you believe in love. Especially after you read this book. The author did a great job of taking her created world and expanding on it. She brings magic to nonbelievers and love to those who dream. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.
Back to the Smokey Mountains for a truly magical romance story! I loved the two strong main characters butting heads with each other and the sparks between them were undeniable. Doubts and fears makes Monique flee, but Chance’s tenacity and heart made him pursue his queen and try to capture her! Monique learns some secrets about herself and makes huge changes in her life path. I look forward to the next romance story in the fall. Sweet series!
great read
Midsummer Spell by Kristen Strassel is such an awesome story to read. This is book number two in this awesome series and I loved reading this from the very begining. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about dragon shifters and paranormal romances in their stories.

Monique is a rational and practical Doctor who doesn’t believe in the magic her grandma Nora and sister Sofia know that life is full of magic and Dragons. The Dragons of Chance’s thunder have been unable to shift for the past 50 years and might never be able to brake their curse of Chance can’t convince Monique to believe in the magic in her. Believe in the magic of and beauty of being Chance’s mate. But what happens when time runs out and the thunder is attacked before the curse has been lifted? This is a great story with no cheating and great supporting characters that I can’t wait to read their stories as this series continues.

This is the second book in this series and is just as good as the first in fact there are a lot of cross overs from book 1 to book 2
This is the story of Chance and Monique she is the sister of Sophie from book one and of course he is Tyson’s brother In fact Chance is a little jealous that Tyson found his mate first. Now for some reason he is starting to feel his dragon again and all that it has to say is that he needs to claim Monique as his mate. Only problem she is only in town for awhile she will be returning to her paediatric practice soon Can he convince her to stay and what is the secret that she has that no one knows
I wish this story focused more on Monique’s backstory later in the book, like what was her life like. Other than that it was perfect.

A little magic never hurt anyone except for Monique. She doesnt believe in magic shes as practical is it comes. Chance has been stuck in his human form for too long. He will do anything for Monique to believe in real magic. They both get more then they bargained for.

Midsummer Spell by Kristen Strassel is the second book in the Smoky Mountain Dragons series. This book is all about a pediatrician named Monique Whynot who visit her Grandmother in a small mountain town called Summerland. While she is there Monique and a dragon named Chance Drake make some beautiful magic together. This story is a sweet story that involves magical keys and goddesses and some hot dragon love. This dragon story makes for a fun read but not a very in depth one. Midsummer Spell is a sweet read.
