I really liked this fiercely independent heroine who stuck up for herself at all costs. Sam, the hero, is a bit set in his ways and striving to duplicate the perfect ranch life his parents had. I enjoyed the dance between them as they tried to turn their separate steps into a synchronized tandem, as well as the updates on the lives of the main characters in the first two romances in the series. This would be fine as a standalone though. Sweet romance, short, with a lovely and loving end.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the story; this is my voluntary and honest review.
I really enjoyed reading this book. Sam and Lisa have to do some give and take with some honest communication instead of assuming things. Can Sam let go of his vision of the future based on what worked for his parents? Is Lisa willing to trust again? Will they get their HEA? Pick up Milan Watson’s latest to find out.
I received a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Milan Watson knows just how to keep her readers interest.
This book was so good.
I loved the plot where she shows how to overcome obstacles for love.
The characters are so likeable and realistic.
A great clean romance.
This is a continuation of the other stories in this town. She tells this story so that I feel like i am in this town with them. The characters are wonderfully written and very believable. A must read. This book was an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
The third book in the Colorado Crazy series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Lisa Stokes has a lot to over come from her past before she can give Sam Preston a chance. But Sam has to learn that her business means a lot to her. I liked how these two finally got together, and I liked the ‘Get Out of Jail Card’ and what it meant. I received an Arc of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing.
Sam and Lisa have grown up in the same town but never been friends as such. For many years Lisa was in a steady relationship but for the last five has been single. Sam, who had a crush on Lisa when they were at school had planned to ask her out when her relationship broke down but the death of his father and a need to run the family ranch, meant time got away from him. Therefore it is not until Lisa rents a cabin from him that they are thrown into close proximity. The attraction is there from the outset but Sam’s old fashioned view of what a relationship should be, looks likely to doom any future they may have together. An enjoyable and realistic romance that deals with how you go about segueing two disparate lives together.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a book that was a joy to read. I loved staying in contact with the characters from the first two books in this series. Lisa hasn’t dated anyone since her ex-boyfriend left their small town. She has kept herself busy with her business the Wash N Whirl, a hair salon. She lives with her mother but the re-appearance of her father (her mother and father separated 10 years ago) has led Lisa to come to the conclusion that she needs to move out. Her friend Jasmine tells her that a rancher is building cabins on his ranch to help supplement the ranch’s income in lean years. It is a former school-mate, Sam. Sam has had a thing for Lisa since high-school. Those feelings have never been returned since she was dating Burke (the now ex-boyfriend). Sam has been busy building up the ranch that had hit on hard times when his father had taken ill and passed away. Neither Lisa nor Sam have been on a date in 5 years.
Lisa is a free thinker and totally independent. Sam is living in the past with his out-dated way of thinking marriages should be based on his parent’s wonderful marriage. Now don’t get me wrong as there is nothing wrong with taking care of his wife (who he wants to be a housewife and the care-giver to their children) but Lisa has worked too hard to build up her business for that. She wants a marriage that is on equal grounds.
In my opinion, I felt Lisa was a little rash in her anger at times and trying Sam to see her side but never trying to see his side. Sam is a expecting Lisa to give up her way of life for his without consulting her several times. These two have such a road to travel to get to their HEA. Fortunately for the reader, the book is written in a dual POV format. Even if you don’t agree with the characters, it is easy to understand their opinions on different subjects. I was able to relate to them as such in their element. I may not have the same ideals as the characters but that didn’t stop me from enjoying their journey.
There are several characters that I hope the author develops into more stories for this series. I do recommend this story. While it isn’t necessary to read the prior two books, I would recommend it as the other characters make multiple appearances here and besides they were great books.
This was a little slow reading in places but you could at least finish reading. Sam has his own idea of how he thought a relationship should be based on how his parents raised him. In steps Lisa who has been heartbroken before in a relationship so she has things to work through when her and Sam don’t see eye to eye. A series that are all standalone reads but a series to pull you in.
I enjoyed returning to White Horse Creek in this third book in the series. The character of Lisa Stokes is so refreshing. She has a distinct personality to go with her red hair and she has her own quirky sense of style that is so refreshing.
I also liked the quiet, laidback cowboy, Sam that she falls in love with when she was not looking. Sam has such outdated ideas of the perfect marriage based on his parent’s marriage that it was fun to watch him get into trouble with Lisa but not know what happened. It is interesting to see if these two, independent characters can work around their ideas and differences and still be a couple.
I also enjoyed catching up with the characters from the two previous books in the series and I am so glad there is another book to come! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Lisa Stokes has lived her whole life in White Horse Creek, Colorado had her heart broken and saw the end of her parents marriage but its not all bad she owns The Wash and Whirl Salon life is good but when after 10 years her parents decide to get back together there romance is making things uncomfortable for her she’s happy for her mother but there acting like a newlywed couple ugh. So when her best friend Jasmine tells her about some new cabin rentals on the White River Ranch she jumps at the chance.
Sam Preston owns The White River Ranch and he remembers Lisa he’s done nothing but think about her he was in love with her when they were in school together. But she was with Burke Birkowitz when he left town Sam wanted to ask her out but then he had allot on his plate his father passed there was a mountain of debt and he could have lost his family ranch.
Lisa is drawn to Sam instantly hes quiet and attractive but she doesn’t want to ruin there new friendship and he’s her landlord and what if he’s not interested in her. Sam decides to make the first move there getting to know each other until Sam makes a mistake. They both love each other but there ideas about there relationship are different Sam wants a marriage like his parents had. But Lisa is her own person and wants Sam but she wants to have her own job and be able to pay her own bills. Sam is stubborn and doesn’t understand. Lisa doesn’t want to lose herself again in a relationship can they find love together or are they too different. I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
