I love stories of this era. This was entertaining. Witty. Good characters. Spell-binding. I laughed. I cried. Unable too put down until completed.
An enjoyable read.
Have now read entire series
Outstanding!
I couldn’t finish it.
Only half through the book and I’m enjoying very much
I enjoyed the book, light reading with a bit of mystery.
The beginning of the book kept me interested. All the characters had their reasons for how they conducted themselves. My disappointment was the who the Duke was protecting and waiting to come forward and solve the predicament he was in.
That was the only part of the story that did not ring true for me.
I enjoyed this book. Great to read on the beach
Anything by Lucinda Bryant is a good read. She tells a compelling story and her characters come alive
Look forward to reading more books in the series.
I Love it! Could not hardly stop reading it to get my stuff done it was so Good!!’
I love the story line of this book.
I like the plot also.
Liked it enough to get the rest of the stories
Very angst-ridden characters but a good story well told with a satisfying ending.
loved this book!
This was a book I am glad I did read. In some ways typical of Historical Romance, yet it did have some twists. I found it really wordy the deeper I got into the book. I found myself toward the end reading just enough on each page to see what happened. It has a good ending.
Lucinda Bryant is at her best with romance with complex plots and mysteries. This is less complex and therefore, more predictable. However, it’s still a good, well written read with good period detail.
predictable
This story (loosely based on a real event) was original and fresh. A young girl drugged and married to a troubled young man who immediately left the country. She thought it had been a dream. He returns years later to woo his wife.
Loved this great book. Unpredictable
