Although the premise enticed me to try this book, I quit half way through. My mistake was to not review it as a stinker and AGAIN downloaded it. It was equally bad the second time. Word to the wise: review all books no mater how bad they are. Same yourself some time!
It was unexpected. I loved this book & will probably read it again, something I never do. It was that good
One of the better historical romances I have read in a while. Great plot – inventive, and not too drawn out or sappy, with interesting characters. A good ‘weekend escape’ book – full of historical references, and tidbits.
Well written story full of misunderstandings , lies , Rumors and danger to overcome . Be sure to read this to discover the fate of the hero and heroine .
Great story about a young girl and young duke. Their lives as they grow up and find romance. And their struggles . Must read.
I enjoyed the book, the characters and the plot and I didn’t miss the typical steamy scenes you can find in all romance books at all.
A nicely woven tale.
I remember reading this book awhile ago and often thought about it. However, I couldn’t remember where I read it and where I could find it again. I’m glad I found it here! This is an unforgettable story. It’s so romantic thinking about a couple falling in love with each other at first sight even though they were married to …
Excellent historical detail and just a good story. A HEA romance novel based on a real couple.
I read this book initially as a stand alone, then to my delight, the entire Roxton Saga was available under Kindle Unlimited.
This story is about Julian and Deborah – their midnight marriage when they were young arranged by Julian’s Father (the Duke of Roxton) and Deborah’s guardian.
The book is witty and very compelling in terms of the …
What a great story! Thoroughly enjoyed it. The characters were wonderful, as were the action and romance.
Zero steam! Super modest.
One of the loveliest stories I have ever read!
This book was hard to follow, and I didn’t find the characters particularly likeable.
This is a beautifully written romantic story with a happy ending. What could be better?
I loved the story
I love all the characters in this series.
Good story, great characters. Story takes a while to develop and you wonder how it will end as there are several plot twists and a number of characters to make things interesting.
People forget how intermingled the French and English are. The differences between the Royals and rest of society. This book does a great job at putting these conflicts into a great love story.
Great read!
