The Midnight Magic Festival is upon Coventry, and Kinley Skeenbauer is excited to participate for the first time. Since her shop, Summoned Goods & Sundries, is the newest thing in Coventry, she’s been invited to provide swag bags and decorations for the festivities. With Meri at her side, Kinsley is ready to pull out all the stops and make this year’s Midnight Magic Festival the best her … best her hometown has ever seen.
There’s just one problem…
A new witch, Astra Argent, has moved to Coventry and opened a competing shop across the street from Kinsley’s store. When Kinsley comes to work one morning only to find her windows smashed, decorations destroyed, swag bags missing, and Astra’s wallet in the glass, she’s furious. A confrontation the whole town witnesses goes down in front of Astra’s shop, The Summoning Scroll.
Thirteen hours later, Astra is found dead on Kinsley’s front porch. Her body is sitting in a rocking chair with a cocktail in her hand. The macabre staged scene sends a shockwave through Coventry.
Someone wanted Astra dead, and they wanted Kinsley to go down for the crime. Can Kinsley and her friends solve the murder, or will she end up caught in a killer’s wicked snare?
Come along as Kinsley and friends solve the crime one spell at a time.

I loved this book. A solid mystery, great witchy characters, and Meri the kitten is adorable and feisty. Well worth a binge of the entire series, and they’re only short, so you can enjoy a book a day if you love to read.
I love Midnight Magic. This book is fun and interesting. The mystery has many twists to keep you guessing. The book is well written with detailed characters. My attention was captured right from the beginning. I love the characters. This is a wonderful cozy mystery.
Fun and Crazy Witch Cozy Mystery
The second installment in the Familiar Kitten Mysteries is a fun, chaotic journey no reader should miss. There are two witches with a rival shop, a love triangle involving a vampire, confusing emotions, necromancy, and a murder like no other. And to make things more intriguing, can evil be good and good be evil?

Midnight Magic continues the series with Kinsely as the main character. I do miss the aunties and her parents. Hopefully the next book will have more interactions with them. Kinsely’s journey is one of true self discovery, but she has a long ways to go. This book has kept the pages turning as I once again lost myself in a book written by Sara Bourgeois.

It’s almost time for the Midnight Magic Festival in Coventry, and Kinsley Skeenbauer is excited to be participating. She’s providing swag bags and decorations for the event. However, problems arise when Astra Argent, a new witch in town, opens a competing store in town. When Kinsley’s store is vandalized and the stuff for the festival is stolen, it seems that Astra’s the culprit but there may be more to the picture. And when Astra’s body is found on Kinsley’s front porch, things really take a turn for the worse.
This is the second book in a new series and it’s great. It’s well-written with well-rounded characters, some of whom you’ll like and others you won’t. I was caught up from the beginning and kept hooked until the end. Full of intrigue and mystery, this book is definitely an enjoyable read. I’m really looking forward to the next book. I highly recommend this book although I do suggest that you read the first book in the series before reading this one.
Wonderful series!!! Kinsley is such a great character. She is strong and powerful; and hopefully Thorn and Kinsley will become closer. Love the characters in this series and the world building is wonderful. You will enjoy this story, try it you will love it.
Azriel has a strange connection with Kinsey. A favor called in to help his dog has bizarre and tangled ripple effects
The new witch in town, Astra, seems determined to be a problem for Kinsey.
Relations with Thorn seem a bit strained
Can Kinsey trust herself after using darker powers? Is any one of her beaux really trustworthy? Super powered vampire, cheating ex husband, para sensitive cop who is quick to rush to judgment. Maybe she might want to consider a new species?
There seems to be some fae magic afoot in Coventry – and as usual, that’s not always a good or safe thing.
Exciting adventures!
