I really liked this installment in the Mythos Academy Series. As much as I love the main school setting it was fun to take a road trip of sorts and visit another of the Mythos Academies. All the gang were along for the ride and I really love the friendships Gwen has made along the way. The series is almost over at this point and while I’ll be sad I can’t wait for the Reapers to get their due!
Oh, we get to go on an adventure in this one and it’s pretty cool. Gwen really shines in this book – I love how much she’s come into her character and her strength, determination, and resilience in this one is pretty amazing. This book takes Gwen and her crew to another academy, then another mission to save one of their own. She has to find a mysterious flower hidden in some ancient, haunted ruins that only blooms at a specific time and get it back to Metis for an antidote and there’s a serious time crunch on delivery. Also, from the initial poisoning – the way it came about, they know they’ll be walking into a Reaper trap. The stakes are so high in this one and it’s minus a key player…or is it? A lot of mysterious texting and shadowy figure creeping around in the distance – a special someone just might make an appearance. Problem is, it will still be up to Gwen to save him…and them all. Again, we get to meet some new characters who end up having an important connection to Gwen that shocks them all; and we get a bit more interesting info about her family. And we also get Gryphons! So cool!! They also have an important role. Love the field trip and all the new info in this one. This series is building to an epic finale!
A quest of friendship, discovery, and fortitude.
Gwen and her friends, both old and new, must find a rare plant to save the life of one of their own. Knowing they are not only heading into a trap, but they must also race against time and mystical creatures. But nothing will stop the intrepid band from completing their task. If they get to kill a few reapers along the way, so much the better.
Great worldbuilding, outstanding narration, and engaging characters. I highly recommend this book and series. But strongly suggest you read/listen to the books for the most optimal experience.
A frosty read!

From the beginning, it was an action-filled read that will keep you hooked throughout the novel, holding your breath, waiting to see the outcome.
And, wow, the surprises in this book. Some good and bad surprises for the heroine. All in all, a lovely strong book with even stronger and incredible characters.
Full of gods, goddesses, champions, family, Gypsies, visions, magic, truths, secrets, creatures and romance.
Perfect for readers of paranormal romances/urban fantasy romances/mythology reads.
