Welcome to Midnight Fae Academy.Home of the Dark Arts.Vampires.And cruelly handsome fae.A forbidden bite led to my capture and recruitment. There are no flowers here.No life.Only death.I’m an Earth Fae who doesn’t belong here. They can play their little mind games all they want, but I’m going to find a way back to my elemental world. Even if it kills me.Except Headmaster Zephyrus is one step ahead … Even if it kills me.
Except Headmaster Zephyrus is one step ahead of my every move.
Prince Kolstov won’t stop cornering me.
And Shadow–the reason I’m in this damn mess to begin with–haunts my dreams.
My affinity for the earth is dying and being replaced by something more sinister. Something powerful. Something deadly.
The Midnight Fae believe this is my fate.
They claim that I was “recruited” for a purpose.
To battle a rising presence.
Or to die trying.
I don’t owe them a damn thing. But if I have to pass their trials to find my way home, then so be it. I survived a plague and far worse in the Elemental Fae realm. An ominous energy? Please. What a joke.
Give it your best shot.
I’m waiting.
And don’t you dare bite me.
Or I’ll make you regret it.
Author Note: This is a dark paranormal why choose trilogy with bully romance (enemies-to-lovers) elements. Despite Aflora’s opinions on the matter, there will definitely be biting. Shadow, aka Shade, guarantees it. This book ends on a cliffhanger.

Wow. This story was amazing. I could not put it down! I wasn’t sure what I was getting myself into and I am new to Lexi’s writing but now I am hooked. Aflora is just breaching the surface to finding out what she really is and now being bonded with 3 Fae! I’m dying to know what happens next. I loved this story and going to jump right into book 2. 1 click this bad boy you will not regret it!
This is a great series, I picked it up one day to pass time and couldn’t put it down. Highly recommend if you like academy and multiple twists
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the first book in the brand-new Midnight Fae Academy series and this was just a fantastic way to start off a new series. Oh my gosh this book was just so good. I just couldn’t put it down. It just drew my in and I just couldn’t stop until I turned the last page. I look forward to seeing what’s next from this author.
Dark and devious. A fast paced why choose story. I really enjoyed the interesting world of the midnight Fae and can’t wait to learn more about them. The story really picked up in the end and I look forward to seeing how things play out.
This book is awesome. I loved how characters from Fortune Fae Academy does intercross between both stories. I did want to know more about Aflora and this book answered some of my questions, however it did add some new ones LOL Aflora is a perfect character. You can only love her. And those midnight feas are so intense. Kol and Zeph did grow on me, kind of. However Shade, well.. I’m not completely fan of. It was great story, amazing plot and read that keep interested through every page.
What’s a girl to do? Aflora was waiting in a coffee shop in the Human Realm for her quasi boyfriend to show up. The LAST thing she expected upon leaving once realizing he wasn’t coming, was to be bitten and mated against her will by a Midnight Fae. She’s the only remaining Earth Fae royal, and their kind can’t mate Midnight Fae. What the heck would become of her, and WHY is this happening? Watch as this generous, kind, woman who is also a fighter at her core…desperately tries to come into her mysterious powers under very trying circumstances. Who to trust, secrets to unravel, and a few hot guys along the way. A very exciting read to be sure..Can they help save each other, and possibly fae kind at the same time?
Midnight Fae Academy was everything I hoped for and more! Lexi C. Foss performed magic on this story and I was soooo there for it! Her world building and flawless writing hooks you from the start and then lures you into a dark yet beautifully imagined world where you never want to leave! I easily fell for Shade, Kols, and Zeph just as the heroine did. I’m dying for more! – Five WHY CHOOSE stars!
When I read Lexi C. Foss’s Elemental Fae Academy, I got a brief glimpse of the heroine from this story, Aflora, and I wasn’t all that impressed with her. However, now that this book has shown me more of her, she has become one of my favorite characters of all time. Her naivety, shown by her adorably tame curse words when she is frustrated, is covering up a strength that even she doesn’t know exists yet. And watching her grow is a wonderfully fun ride for the reader. Kols, Shade, and Zeph are amazing additions to any reader’s book boyfriend collection, each with their own quirks and endearing qualities, and the world of the Midnight Fae is enticing and intoxicating. Read this one today, and you won’t be sorry. (Although I need to put in the standard warning that it ends with a bit of a cliffie, so if you don’t like those then you may want to wait to read until closer to June, when book two comes out.)
So adored this first instalment in the midnight fae academy it was bloody fantastic and I read it in one sitting.
So if you have read the Elemental fae academy trilogy you will remember Aflora the earth fae heir, if not no matter as it doesn’t need to be read as this is a standalone series just occupying the same world.
So Aflora while in the human world is bitten by Shade a midnight death fae initiating an illegal mating bond.
she is transported to the midnight fae academy for judgement and observation.
As she is the Earth Fae heir they cant terminate her so they decide to educate her at the academy while keeping an eye on her and temporarily binding her powers.
Shes handed over to her begrudging babysitters Prince Kolstov (Kols) an elite fae and the future king and Zephyrus a guardian fae and a headmaster (professor) at the academy.
Shade for me is the man or fae as the term may be, he really is quite the comedian and has the added bonus of being sexy as all hell and protective to boot, he really doesn’t give a monkey what others think of him a quality I liked a lot and at the moment he has my first place marker and is way out front in terms of brownie points.
Kols is growing on me slightly (even though I did want to slap him so many times in this).
He can be rather arrogant and self-important but I do think he is evolving add in Zeph who as well as being all hard edges, cool logic and heat also has a tongue that can cut deep and a stone-cold outer persona that Aflora is melting one drip at a time.
I also loved the chemistry between Kol’s and Zeph those two are smokin and that was the icing here with this for me those two are way intense.
This is slow-burn reverse-harem but still with plenty of chemistry and red hot heat.
There’s a lot of fighting the initial attraction here especially with Zeph,
Kols is also trying but isn’t quite as successful as his fellow babysitter.
Shade doesn’t give a hoot and embraces the whole mate thing.
Loved where this went and also that finale was fantastic.
Really looking forward to the next instalment with this it was excellent from start to finish.
A fantastic start to this series.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Midnight Fae Academy: Book One (Midnight Fae Academy #1).

I love Aflora’s snarkiness at the beginning!!! Another amazing first in the new Midnight Fae Trilogy by Lexi Foss!!! Lexi is such a talented author!!! If you haven’t read her books what are you waiting for? I look forward to the next book in this amazing new series!!! Read and enjoy!!!
Welcome to Lexi C. Foss’ Midnight Fae Academy, where all the sexy Midnight Fae come out to play.
Trayton Nacht? Book boyfriend material. Check
Kolstov Nacht? Book boyfriend material. Check
Headmaster Zephyrus? I’m not kicking him out of my bunk for cracker crumbs. Check, check.
Shade? 92% into Midnight Fae Academy, I fall completely and totally in love with Shadow. Team Shade 2020.
I’m unchecking boxes; I’m kicking Zeph out of my bunk for crumbs. I’m carving ‘Ali loves Shade 4eva’ in the drywall of my reading room (Don’t tell my husband. He just built me the reading room for Valentine’s Day).
Shadow doesn’t get a POV throughout, so it’s one of only a few peeks into his head. I honestly love the rogue. And he is a rogue. God, I do love rogues.
But wait, What is the Midnight Fae Academy, and who cares?
Midnight Fae Academy is where the Blood Fae go to learn to use their powers. At the same age that humans go to college, Midnight Fae start attending the academy. The Blood Lines, all Midnight Fae, King Nacht, and the Elite Blood, and the Council all live within the kingdom.
Aflora is the last heir to the Earth Fae Monarchy. She maintains the source of Earth magic; she’s royalty, and essential to the realm. She’s not a Blood Fae in any way.
Not only is it forbidden for Shadow to mate Aflora without the sanction of the Council, but it’s also a violation to bite someone against their will, and its a death sentence to mate with another fae species.
After Shade breaks all these rules, the only thing keeping her alive is her royal blood. And she is stuck in the Midnight Fae realm mainly because his bite is changing her magic, and she isn’t weilding only elemental magic anymore.
Much of the same magical tenants of Ella’s Masquerade follow over here. Tray and Ella play cameos. BUT there are some hard passes here that need resolves in the next book.
Wands. I hate Harry Potter. There I said it. Harry Potter reproduction is so overdone it makes me want to puke. People almost don’t realize they are pulling from the cannon when they do it, and it makes me.
…WANDS!!!
I hope we are going somewhere with these wands.
And I’m not at all a fan of the Zeph moping. He calls Kols Prince Crybaby, but my goodness is he salty and pouty.
That said, I am on tenterhooks for book two.
Team Shade 2020
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary advance copy of this book.
This is the first episode in the trilogy and it starts by dumping the reader right into the chaos.
No slow introduction –
Just reading along flipping the pages then
BAM!
All he ‘ll breaks loose
This is a slow build romance, the attraction is there from the opening scene.
The untapped desire alone is enough to ignite the local fauna (So not telling you will need to read that) but the taboo that lies on the other side?
No one is touching that.
It was a while before I connected with the guys at a personal level, other than the need to stomp on their manly bits that is. As the foundation for the series is laid and we are taken deeper into the darkness that is Midnight Academy things begin to unravel.
A lot is going on behind the scenes and as I expected not everything is black and white. (*throat clears* Zeph)
My feelings towards some of the cast changed drastically – I used to like Kol.
Shade… I may have been a bit harsh when I first wanted to stomp his manly bits. Sorry about that Shade.
The world-building is a bit creepy Not in a bad way Midnight fae prefer the darker delights and the images that are presented?
A bit like Dracula’s castle and Dante’s 7 levels combined.
The factions or bloodlines – we get a bit of everything here which only drove my curiosity
This ends on a bit of a cliffy that left me mad as he ll and feeling a bit betrayed
Aflora our sweet little earth fae – watch your back boys you crossed the wrong little queen
Kol – I used to find his character endearing now I hope he trips on a vine and …
Shade I think I like him he grows on you
Zeph is an uptight arse
“Are you laughing at me? Do you find humor in him essentially raping me with his fangs and turning my world upside down?”
Fan-fucking-tastic! I didn’t want this book to end! Argh!!!! I’m so sad that I finished it in just a few hours. I was completely engrossed. Fascinated from start to finish. An inferno between these characters. My fingers felt the sizzle while turning the pages. Hot!
“Explore every inch of her.
Degrade her.
Claim her.
Fucking mark her.”
So if you read The Elemental Fae Series, you will know who Alfora is, the female main character in this series. If you haven’t, it’s perfectly fine to start this series without reading the other. I absolutely love the world that was built, different fae realms to get lost in. I was already intrigued with the darkness when I was reading The Elementals, and the start to this series did not disappoint. This book had my heart pounding, I could not turn the pages fast enough. Exhilarating and mesmerizing! I loved it so much. And the banter was hilarious at times. Enemies to lovers is a favorite of mine, I was soaking it up. I’d call this a slow burn, I couldn’t wait to be devoured. Slade had me at first bite. Kols is growing on me. But Zeph, gods almighty, that’s going to be one helluva ride. Hard and brutal for sure. And the M/M in this was the icing on fucking delicious tasting cake.
“Zeph enjoyed harsh sex. Anger was his aphrodisiac. Fighting served as foreplay. And we’d fought a lot these last few months, both mentally and physically.”
I simply cannot wait until the next, this is going to be torturous. I’ll just be over here with my collar like the eager submissive awaiting the next book.
If love/hate, reverse harem, fantasy is your thing. You better snatch this up! I highly recommend.
Midnight Fae Academy book 1 by Lexi C Foss is a 4 star read.
This is the first book in a new series although we’ve met Aflora before.
Aflora is an Earth Fae stick in the Midnight Fae realm after being bitten by Shade. Kols and Zephyrus are there to make sure she stays where she is. This is a RH book and does end on a cliffhanger that will leave you needing more.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
My heart is still pounding from this highly addictive and emotional read! We met Aflora in Elemental Fae Academy. She came off as sweet and innocent. She’s anything but! After being swept away against her will to the Midnight Fae Academy we learn so much about her. While she is sweet, she can also be lethal. She has a strong backbone and refuses to go down without a fight!
All the men she unwittingly drawls to her are so very different from each other. Shade is the mysterious one. He knows things and refuses to reveal what they are. He’s also sweet in his taunting ways. Kols will take a bit to like, at least for me. At first I liked him, then I hated him, now I love him. He invokes so many different emotional responses from yourself and Aflora. Zeph is someone I instantly liked. He’s hard and protective. He has to push Aflora away so much, but you understand why. I’m excited to see where these four go. They have a long and bloody journey ahead of them, and I can’t wait for it!
Book Hangover Active…
Such a delicious read. An FMC trying to find her way in a place she doesn’t want to be, 3 attractive males that she shouldn’t want anything to do with but is drawn to each. Definitely three guys to vie for the title of next book boyfriend. The banter between the characters and the tension that builds kept me turning the pages and left me wanting more. This story ends on a cliffhanger, but as it is the first book of a trilogy the cliffhanger makes sense. I can’t wait to see what happens next…
Faetastic
Aflora is one of the last remaining Earth Royal Fae and is bitten by Shade, which is apparently highly illegal Now she finds herself forced to live and study at the Midnight Fae Academy, where everything is not as it seems and trust is precarious at best.
Kols and Zeph are instructed to help Aflora learn everything she needs to while at the Academy and to observe her powers However, none of them could have ever predicted their attraction to Aflora and her sweet disposition or the resulting bonds
This story was absolutely faetastic and I can’t wait to find out what happens next with these characters. The story and mystery is all there and heaps of secrets just waiting to be unraveled Thank you Lexi for my advanced copy which I voluntarily leave my honest review
Wow, this book will grab you by the throat, push you up against the wall and seriously f**c with your mind. And you’ll enjoy every moment of it.
This felt almost like a bully romance at first, poor Aflora was treated so badly by both Shade and Kols. I totally and utterly wanted to throat punch them both. But then we start seeing another side to each guy and they rather grew on me and along with Zeph they make great partners for Aflora.
There are so many mysteries swirled together and just as one strand unravels, and we learn something new, another puzzle pops up to take its place. I was utterly captivated and completed the story in one sitting. Just couldn’t put it down, desperate to read the next page and find out what would befall our beleaguered heroine next.
Aflora is a very gentle and kind soul, but that isn’t to be mistaken for weakness. She’s thrown totally into the deep end of life at the Midnight Fae Academy without even a kiddy arm band to stop her drowning. This is a culture that clearly believes in being cruel to be kind, or perhaps they’re just arrogant, thoughtless dicks. I’m still not sure if I like Shade, if I bumped into him in the street I might just poke him in the eye on Aflora’s behalf. Kols and Zeph grew on me, sometimes like a bad spot that you wanted to lance, but grow they did.
I only hope that Lexi C Foss is busy writing because I really, really need to read book 2. Like read-it-yesterday need to read it.
Come on over and explore the dark side with the gorgeous men of the Midnight Fae realm. Aflora, who we initially met as a side character in the Elemental Fae series, has no idea what she’s getting into after she gets stood up by her date. There is plenty of mystery woven into this new sexy RH tale. Who would have thought that sweet Aflora could be so sassy! I thoroughly enjoyed every page of this book and I can’t wait to see what’s next.
In retrospect, I really shouldn’t have read this book. Not because I hated it, but because I am so freaking desperate for the next instalment that had I the option to find a way to sneak inside this author’s head, I absolutely would. I wouldn’t think twice about doing whatever it took either.
Alas, I have to wait, [insert reluctant and gritting teeth face] PATIENTLY. Patience and me, not a term I find myself associating with. However, I begrudgingly will. For I have no doubt that the next instalment with again blow my mind, just as this book did.
How does a person’s mind create such brilliance? This is the question I’m left pondering. I awe at every page turned. At every chapter I read and at every scene that is built in my head. I fell, no i bloody dived into each page willingly.
The characters; Aflora, Shade, Kols and Zeph. Chemistry overload. This author did not hold back. Her reverse harem genre is amazing. Believable.
All these characters played off of one another. It was exciting to watch it unfold.
I’ll leave with this.
I can tell you exactly how reading this book left me feeling.
Hungry!
Hungry for more Midnight Fae!
