This is the first Tactical Crime Division book that I have read and the first book by this author. I liked the TCD part of the book, although I must say the whole team was not very involved in solving the case. This was more a solo act by Agent Ana Ramirez who is called to help Benning Reeves find his kidnapped children. The children were adorable and very precocious, seeming to me to be too far advanced for six year olds. Benning and Ana have a romantic history and when she is not going into action with guns, knives and whatever other weapon you can think of, she and Benning are engaged in what can only be termed as foreplay. In addition, there was a lot of blood and gore and violence so this book would not be for anyone who want a clean read. The action was non-stop but not at all believable since I was supposed to believe that Ana could take on all of the bad guys single handedly, be wounded seriously and repeatedly and keep coming back for more. The ending seemed rushed, with a fast beginning a fast middle and a rush to the finish. I liked the premise of the story, but the entire story was too much make-believe and too little realism for me. Also, I hesitate to say this, but I was put off by the author’s dedication of the book to herself at the beginning. Arrogance is never a way to impress me!

An Absolutely Amazing and Action packed Suspense .
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Midnight Abduction .
This story took off from the start and didnot slow down till the end . It’s So full of pulse pounding action and suspense . I was entirely captivated . Tactical Crime Division Agent Ana Sofia Ramirez is in charge of Abduction of a six year old boy . She is shocked to find his father specially requested only her. She found out he was the only man she ever loved and had walked out on him seven years ago after a case she worked on went terribly wrong . She soon finds herself dealing with a whole lot more than her buried feelings . She and Benning Reeves will be fighting for their lives and his twins also . This story is well written. The characters are fabulous . I didnot and could not put this story down . It’s definitely a five Star read . I highly recommend taking the time to read .
Midnight Abduction was an enjoyable read from beginning to end but be prepared to step out of reality a bit for the action/fight scenes. Severn definitely pulls no punches with the main characters in this story as they are repeatedly abused (punched, stabbed, shot, multiple head knocks)…you name it and these two suffered it while trying to solve the case.
Ana and Benning were both intriguing characters and they had a passionate past with a rocky breakup and an uncomfortable reunion simmering with past memories as they work together to find Benning’s kidnapped children. These two characters were great together and I really enjoyed their interactions throughout the story.
This is the first book of the Tactical Crime Division series I have read and with it being book three in the series, I did feel like I was coming into the middle of something with Ana and Benning with how the book started, but that feeling was not strong enough to deter me from reading and once I got into the story I had no problem keeping up. I do not know if these characters and their situations were mentioned in previous books in the series or if that was just the impression I got when I started reading? However, either way, it was an engaging, exciting read loaded with action, suspense, danger, and romance. I will definitely be looking into the first two books to see what all I have missed.
This is Benning and Ana’s story they met when she was working a case and leaves after the case doesn’t end well. Now their back together when Benning’s twins are taken. Benning and Ana are strong characters Ana has gone through a lot blaming herself for things that happened in the past. This story is full of action,,, suspense twists an turns and it’s a quick read. Nichole gets you so involved in the book that you won’t want to put it down till your done. Well written
Midnight Abduction is the 3rd book in the Tactical Crime Division series. Once again Nicole Severn does an excellent job of pulling the reader into the book. It is very well written, and action packed and I always enjoy reading a HEA ending.
I received an Advanced Readers Copy of the book from NetGalley and Harqeluin Intrigue in exchange for my fair and honest review.
Midnight Abduction was a great intrigue from Nichole Severn. I really enjoyed this one from page one when you’re thrown into the chaos that is Ana and Benning. When Benning’s six-year-old twins are kidnapped, he only knows one person to call, Agent Ana, his old fling, and the best FBI agent around.
I will say you will have to suspend reality with this book, especially if you’re in the medical field, when it comes to the massive amount of fight scenes, shootings, stabbings, and hits on the head these two characters take in an attempt to save his son. I didn’t deduct a star from it because the scenes generally moved the story forward, but I don’t know a human on earth who can withstand the beatings these two took.
Moving on.
It is hard to review this one because of spoilers, but I will say, holy action Batman! It never stops from start to finish and you can’t help but root for these two former lovers, not only to find his son but to find their way back to each other. Nichole can write an intrigue that keeps you turning the pages and never gives you a moment where you aren’t wondering where this is going, who is behind it, and what’s going to happen next. The HEA at the end definitely made up for all the pain and anguish you go through to get there!
If you’re looking for a page-turning intrigue that will keep you up way too late into the night, definitely pick up Midnight Abduction!
