Hank Paige.
As a former rock star,
I once had it all. Fame. Fortune. Females.
Except for the one thing I wanted most.
Then I lost everything.
I fix cars now and restore other people’s dreams.
I just want to be somebody’s someone.
And there’s a certain woman with captivating eyes
who might be the more I’m looking for.
For the love of all things, please let it be her…
In the midst of questioning everything,
could love be the resolution to a midlife crisis?

I can’t tell you how much I love this series by LB Dunbar!! I need more! I “more” MidLife Crisis! I’m turning 50 next month and more authors need to write romance for us middle-aged women. Hank is a huge sexy teddy bear and Midge is his petite little package…
When Hank bumps into Midge in a dark bathroom at a party sparks fly. Midge is divorced and puts her kids first. Hank decides to pursue Midge, but is somewhat cautious. They have amazing chemistry. Will Midge let herself enjoy a man? And will Hank trust Midge enough to fall in love?
Fabulous writing by LB Dunbar. I have to say this is one of my all-time favorite series! Dunbar is the queen of after 40 love stories!
5 stars!
When I heard that L.B. Dunbar was writing another over 40 book, I couldn’t get my hands on it quick enough!! Absolutely love this story-line with having couples who are over the age of 40. Real life happenings that for us over 40’s have experienced.
Midge is raising 3 boys after recently being divorced. Concentrating on her job, making sure the kids are at the 42,000 after-school obligations and needing a girl’s night out.
But since moving to California with her ex, she really hasn’t had time to make friends, ones she could feel comfortable with going out. Unable to say No, like most of us, she finds herself volunteering for a program at her son’s school. Where she meets Ivy and Edie.
Heading to a Meet the Wife party at Edie’s, it’s her first attempt to mix and mingle with her new friends.
Hank Paige is a man with many demons in his closet. A man who carries so much around in his heart for a woman who he thought he loved. Never moving past her, he has remained single.
When he is invited to a band members house to meet the new wife, he never thought he could want more…but seeking the bathroom to escape, his life changed that night.
What a fantastic story!!! Love meeting the men of Chrome Teardrops! I want a bracelet of Hank’s to wear too <3

I love Midge & Hank! Their attraction is instant, but their relationship has some bumps & bruises to get through. Their banter is great, and I love the interactions between each character in their family units.
The only downside for me in this story was the level of miscommunication that kept happening. They would clear something up, only for it to rear its head again a couple times before they finally laid it to rest. That annoyed me for a portion!
What I liked a lot a lot – Inside Hank’s rough exterior beats the heart of a sweet man, and although his heart was bruised, he does his best to let his Middy heal it. Midge doesn’t recognize her strength, but it’s there & it was great watching it shine through. Overall I enjoyed the whole of the story & I especially loved the way Hank found his sense of belonging, and true love. (Also, we get to see a bit of Tommy, Edie, Ivy & Gage & OMH there are some great scenes there!!) : )
