Mick (CAOS MC #1) by K.B. Winters – This was a freebie series starter. So I’ve read a few motorcycle club books now, and while you are never going to get me on one of these two wheeled death machines I can see the appeal. This is a romantic suspense mystery with a very interesting panel of characters! I’ll be on the lookout for the rest of the series! Happy Reading!
Mick and Talon will warm your hearts with their story. Talon is an emotional mess. She just found out that her father is dead when she thought that he was gone long ago according to her mother. To top it all off, she comes home to her boyfriend being intimate with her best friend. She makes the decision to move to the town where her father left her a home and a diner. She meets Mick and the sparks ignite quickly. She finds out about her father through Mick and his MC but all is not as it appears and her father may have been killed. Mick is determined to find the truth but will his endeavors put Talon in danger?
ARC review For honest review. talon mother and father are both died and she never meets her father till she is in formed that he died and was looking for her .she goes to bed Brentley to get what he left her. Nick rides with her father with chaos MC but things don’t add up about his death they go looking .awesome story
Talon inherits property from a father that she never knew she had. Circumstances have her leaving her life behind and heading across country to her new home. Mick and the boys are part of the CAOS MC Club where her dad was member. Action, drama, romance and more flow through this easy to read book. From someone who doesn’t seek out MC books, I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Mick has KB Winters’ trademark sexiness, plus some gritty (but not too OTT) MC dealings. Talon has just learned that the father she had thought died before she was born, has died and left her an inheritance. Couple that surprise with the fact that Talon came home and found her boyfriend banging her (former) best friend, and Talon has about had it with her life. So, she kicks the two cheaters out of her apartment, sells everything and heads out across the country to go see what her father has left her.
It’s in Brently, a small town near the Mexican border, that Talon will find her home, and her love. Mick is a big, sexy beast of a redheaded former SEAL who meets her at her father’s home, the home that is now hers. Sparks fly when they meet, and the attraction is instantaneous. Mick is Magnus’ (Talon’s father) fellow brother in the CAOS MC. Magnus was like a father to him, and he’s thrilled to be meeting the daughter Magnus had been searching for for so many years. As the two fall into a steamy relationship, things seem to be going well, as Talon’s settling into her new home. But, Mick is dealing with some crazy club business. He’s trying to find out who in his club is dealing on the side, and who killed Magnus. Thank God he’s got Talon to go home to, and Cash by his side to help sniff out the rats.
Mick is a great start to a new series! Talon is feisty and sweet and Mick is sexy and protective, with a soft heart underneath his mountain of muscles. The MC action in Mick isn’t as gritty in some MC romances, and I like that. It’s still sexy, and has its share of action, but nothing too graphic or brutal. Can’t wait for Cash’s story next!
I received an advanced copy of this book for a voluntary & honest review. This was a quick read, that’s a little bit cheesy, a little bit predictable, but in the end enjoyable for a mindless afternoon read. Sometimes, those mindless easy reads are needed. Mick & Talon are likable characters. The flow was pretty good, & the world building was pretty good- for a quick story anyway. Would have been great if it had been expanded a bit longer with a few more explanations of things thrown in about how or why certain things happened in the story (trying not to give out spoilers). Overall, it was mild for a motorcycle club book.
Mick was a member of Talon’s dads MC. He was murdered, but by who. She has finally found out who her dad is and he wasn’t dead as her mom made her believe and he had been looking for her for 20 years. Now he’s dead and u can’t make up for lost time. Mick meets her at her dad’s home he left to her. The only part I didn’t like is talking about Magnus and not knowing his story and life before hand.
I LOVED this story and I am so excited for this author to write more about this world. The story started out a bit heartbreakingly but then fast delved into the sweet hotness that would remain throughout the rest of the story.
I loved Mick and felt that he was an amazing character. He was sweet when he was with his woman and hard with his MC. He was loyal, determined and trustworthy. Talon (fantastic name!) was a strong woman determined to make a better life for her. She trusted who she is and what she wanted in life and would not let anything break her path. I loved that she was willing to trust Mick and give him what he asked for without risking her own life. Talon is dealing with a lot in this story and she does it with grace and humor.
The secondary characters were great and really added to the development of the plot and the details that this story included. I cannot wait for Cash’s story. This must be a series and I cannot wait for more.
This book was written by an amazing writer and author. KB did such a great job with bringing together two people that had one person in common without even knowing each other in the beginning.
When Talon gets word that her father Magnus has past away and left her a house and diner in California she is totally blown away because her mother had told her that her father had past away when she was a kid.. She rushes home to talk to her boyfriend about what she should do. Talon walks in her place and not only gets one but two more surprises when she finds her boyfriend and her best friend having sex. She kicks them both out and moves to California.
When Magnus was murdered Mick decided to carry on the investigation of finding Magnus’s daughter. Magnus had been searching for his daughter for years but never found her. Mick has finally located Talon 9 months after Magnus’s death. Mick always felt like Magnus was a father to him ever since he took him into the CAOS MC. The CAOS MC was built up by 5 Vietnam Vets who try keeping drugs out of their town but they do run bikes, guns and girls. Magnus was an Ex Navy Seal and Mick is Ex Navy.
Talon and Mick have a great chemistry and together they are combustible. Talon is gorgeous, sassy and sexy female and Mick is a big gorgeous hunk and biker bad boy . When they finally get together things start to change and they are not sure who they can trust. Will they be able to trust each other and will they survive what will become the fight of their lives?
