Being on the run is complicated…but so is the mob.
My life could be every episode of Cops. Kicked out of the trailer by my stripper mother with an angry drug dealer hot on my trail. I’m outta gas and outta money and stuck in a crap-hole bar too close to the Mexican border.
Yeah, nothing could go wrong with this picture.
But I’ve gotta plan–hustle money out of the losers at the pool tables or five-finger discount some fat wallets, and then back on the road before anything else in my life implodes.
Too late.
Meet Jack. Soooo my type, which means totally wrong for me. Silent. Brooding. Involved with the mob. Oh, didn’t I mention that first?
Yep. I’m in so much trouble, and it’s going to be so hard to leave.
Praise for Mi Familia

Frankie and Jack seemed liked such an odd couple from the beginning but I couldn’t help but root for them from the moment she put herself out there for him. She is just as complex as she is scared. Jack is full of mystery and there is so much more to him that we are seeing in Part 1. I know as the story evolves so will both their characters. I’m so along for this ride and waiting for the floor to drop. Justice needs to be served and I hope all those evil monsters involved get theirs. Anxiously awaiting part 2
This was my first KC Klein’s book, and won’t be my last. This is the first of three parts in the Mi Familia Series, a Dark Mafia Romance. The story is told from Franki’s POV. Jack and Franki’s story is well written, and captivating. I like their unique relationship, and their humor. Franki is a beautiful and strong young woman. Jack is secretive, dark, handsome, and protective. The world building is well done. The storyline is original and intricate, filled with intrigue and mystery. Debbie Soelter has a beautiful voice, and she is perfect as Franki. She did a good job with the narration, and the audio quality is great. I enjoyed it, and I can’t wait to listen to the part 2, to know what happens next.
Loved the book, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. Once I started I could not get enough, from the start till the end I was engrossed I was even on the edge of my seat with twists and turns, lust and passion, strength. This book is a three part series all to do with the mob. Do yourself a favor and buy the book you want be disappointed.

This story is enthralling and drew me in from the get-go. It’s book one in a series and it promises to be an awesome series. The characters and the plot are interesting and it’s a page-turner so be prepared to read it cover to cover once you start.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Well written characters that pique your interest right away, keeping you on the edge of your seat and have you invested in their fate. Fiery heroine with just the right soft spots, a flawed hero with rakish charm and a world of trouble. Highly recommend!

This is the first book in a three part series in the Married to the Mob series. Absolutely speechless when I finished this book. Meet Franki, the world she comes from, her only luck being bad luck and of course being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The solution to pick pockets and steal when she hits rock bottom seems like a solution but it is only her introduction to the mob. Meet Jack, the bad boy type that Franki knows she should run the other way from. But does she? What has she gotten herself into? I cannot wait for part two and to see what happens next. A great read, guaranteed to hook you in, captivate you and not spit you out until the last word is read. Enjoy!

Such a good start to the 3-part series. The story starts out with Franki who lives in the trailer park with her mom and boyfriend. After a tragic (but probably deserved) accident, she’s forced to run away from home, only to find herself in even more trouble. Jack steps in to assist, but he’s also part of the dangerous situation. The story does get off to a slow start, but provides detailed information and sets the plot up nicely. Can’t wait to begin Part II tonight!

I liked the story. It’s well written and pulls you in immediately. Franki is what most would call poor white trash or trailer trash and finds herself on the run after killing a bad guy in self defense. Franki is an adorable character that you can’t help but to love. There’s an innocence about her but she’s not naive. While trying to run a con she stumbles upon Jack. Under the protection of Jack she ends up entangle in some cartel dealings.
For a book called Mi Familia, described as a Mafia Romance and being part of a series called Married to the Mob, this is not what I expected. In the name alone there is just too much Mafioso for this book. The title does not fit at all. It’s barely a Romance and fits more of the Suspense/Thriller genre. But like I said, I totally like the story, just think it should be described differently.
Ah, Debbie Soelter, the narrator, at first I thought this was her first narration but then I looked her up and seen she’s done others. There were times where I was irked by the narration and I couldn’t tell if it was because of the way it seemed like she was reading and pausing after ever word in an odd way and then there were times that I thought Debbie is the perfect Franki. Her low whispery voice was perfect but drove me crazy at the same time. I never loved a narrator and at the same times hated it as I did with this series.
Look, TL;DR, I loved the story, I loved the narrator, but I also was confused by it all like i expected different but just loved it anyway.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
