Fate is definitely speaking to me.I’m a free spirit, letting the universe guide me. After getting fired—again—and finding my lights turned off—again—I’m positive the universe is telling me to move to Jetty Beach. But the first thing I manage to do in Jetty Beach is give myself a concussion. When I wake up, he’s there. Dr. Cody Jacobsen. With a gorgeous body, ridiculous dimples, and an adorable … dimples, and an adorable bedside manner, Cody literally saves the day—taking care of me and giving me a place to stay.
Our chemistry is off the charts. But to a man like him—mature and put together—I’m a wild breeze who throws him off kilter. And for a woman like me—who never truly lets anyone in—he might want more than I can give.
He might want everything.

Cody is always so serious – Clover is never in one place too long. But when they meet – boy oh boy – is the chemistry off the charts! I love the opposites attract aspect of this story. The doctor and the free spirit who everyone leaves. It is wonderful reading along while Clover sees what an actual family unit is like. I can’t imagine growing up as she did and then just being left to figure it all out – no wonder she is always on the move, it is all she has ever known. Clover getting to know Cody’s family and seeing how true, actual, unconditional love works is just wonderful. These two push each other outside of their comfort zone and is a true joy to read. Claire Kingsley’s books always bring a smile to my face – this one is no exception!
Clover is accident prone and was fired at the neighborhood coffee shop for slamming into a customer landing his green tea latte all over herself and him. After getting fired she decides to get a fresh start and decides that a town called Jetty Beach is just what she needs.
Cody finally decides he is tired of their toxic relationship and breaks up with his girlfriend. He doesn’t know why he didn’t take his families advice and do it ages ago. It was two years long past time. He do doesn’t understand why it took him so long.
Clover arrives in Jetty Beach only to find out that all the hotels are booked so she decides to have dinner before trying to figure out accommodations. She catches the eyes of a gorgeous man and bam! Slams right into a waiter and is knocked out cold. Cody is there with his brothers and future sister-in-law when she is knocked out cold. Luckily, his clinic is nearby to attend to her concussion and with nowhere to stay gives her his bed as he takes the couch. Getting her well is his highest priority. He’ll just ignore her sex appeal.
I love Clover and Cory’s story. Clover is gorgeous and spontaneous. Cody is sex on a stick. He is sweet and protective, but takes charge in the bedroom. As a reader I felt welcomed by their family and friends as a new member of Jetty Beach. Good authors have the characters jump off the page. Amazing authors also drag you in and you feel part of the story. Will forever read and re-read all books by Claire Kingsley and highly recommend that every one else do so also
Cody and Clover barely make sense but their story was definitely a cute one with a bunch of heat. These narrators though… I was hoping third time would be the charm but not so much
I loved Cody in the first two books. He was always so kind and caring when he appeared. It was great to see him find happiness. Clover was amazing. I adored her free spirit. And she was so brave; she wasn’t afraid to be honest or make a move for what she wanted. The two of them were so perfect together.
Clover Fields lives her life by the signs she thinks the universe is sending to her. She’s carefree, spontaneous, a little wild and spreads sunshine all around her. Ending up in Jetty Beach may be a quirk of fate but it puts her square in the path of Dr Cody Jacobsen. One look between them bring her to her knees, literally. She walks into a tray of food and knocks herself out. Cody treats her for mild concussion and brings her home to care for her as she has no one else to do it being new in town. Cody wants her from the outset but resists because it’s the right thing to do. Little does he know that she has the same feelings for him and when they finally give into each other it’s incendiary. For six months she takes him on a merry trip of spontaneity, laughter and lusty nights. Until it all goes wrong but fate steps back in a puts him in the right place at the right time to save her and give home back his sunshine. Because without her life was dull, dark and colorless.
Opposites attract in a small town. Clover is the definition of a free spirit, but Cody makes her see that roots can be a good, if terrifying, thing. Cody is the guy who thrives on routine and taking care of others. Clover shows him that having fun and having someone take care of him can be better than he imagined. Their romance is both sweet and steamy. I love the setting so much! The secondary characters and this Jetty Beach world are well-rounded and I especially like exploring the relationship between the brothers. I love how they all accept Clover and support her.
3.75 stars. I really liked Cody and his character. I enjoyed the whole family dynamic. I really struggled connecting to Clover though. I definitely can’t wait to get to Hunter’s book.
Gypsy Love
Clover is a free spirit who is lead by signs and feelings. Cody is used to routine and order. These two meet and it’s literally a crash course in love. *Sorry about the play on words.*
So I read all the Jetty Beach books back when they came out last year. I love all of Claire’s books and this one is no exception. Like the others, it’s a light, sweet, and sexy romance.
Clover is beautiful and quirky, strong and kind. Cody is caring and sexy. Together they are one adorably hot couple. I absolutely love them.
