The David Chance Series: Messages, Voices, Lies
David Chance can see messages in the sea of words around him, messages that warn him of future events.
Words are everywhere– on labels, magazines, sign posts, t-shirts– everywhere. And as much as David Chance would like to hide from them, he can’t. Words keep leaping off objects around him, forming messages in his mind. But how is this … how is this possible? Has his brain suddenly taken an evolutionary leap forward, or are the mysterious messages proof of divine intervention?
Driven to answer a question he’d long ago abandoned, and stalked by the killer he’s trying to stop, David risks everything to follow the messages to a dirty bomb set to go off in the heart of Boston. But can he trust the author of the messages to protect him from a terrorist who seems to know his every move.

A book that makes you think about God and the messages we might be missing if we’re not paying attention….
I really liked this book. It has an original premise (man gets messages from God in the words he reads around him) and gets pulled into an assassination plot he is called to stop. The main character, David, struggles with believing the messages are from God, his fear people will think he’s crazy, and the idea that being an intern at a television …
Full Title: Messages (David Chance Mystery #1)
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story kept me turning page after page to read what would happen next.
The story arc in of it self was unique. The fact that he even followed the first few messages made it more of a surprise yet was heart stopping for the character but I believe helped …
Not my cup of tea.
I really liked this book, in spite of feeling like things were missing sometimes. Some of the characters didn’t react to things like I would have thought they would. I looked to get the second book in this series but it is only available to me in paperback and I didn’t feel that I liked it enough to warrant spending that much on a paperback. …
I liked the message of this book. Very thought provoking
Great origninal twist to modern day prophesy. Action packed
This really was an edge of your seat kind of book. I couldn’t wait to see how everything played out. Nicely developed characters that were very realistic in how they dealt with their individual parts of the story! I loved this book! It proves that christian books don’t have to be dull and preachy but they can be exciting and inspiring.
Lots of twists and turns and an interesting plot, as the author weaves you though the story. I liked it and feel it was worth the read.
Boring
Excellent story and a well-written mystery style. It’s good to realize that God talks to us personally when we ask Him.
Couldn’t stop reading this one
the characters are well built, I’ve already purchased the second one in the series — Voices.
I liked it! It had depth!
clever and interesting way to present the gospel
Couldn’t put it down!
Great “edge of my seat” reading without getting dirty or using profanity. Highly recommend!
Was easy to read. Would recommend to any avid reader. It kept my attention. The only thing I didn’t like was the ending.
Not for everyone, this one. Simplistic way of explaining the spiritual, well suited only to readers who would accept his seemingly honest way of being without much questioning.
I enjoyed this book because it was fast paced and I never knew what would happen next.
